Holy carp, this 1 thing alone just showed me a crap ton more settings I didn’t even realize we could do with the controller! I don’t even really know what to do with the components it comes with, except that I swap the rocker for a standard directional pad! For the most I just love the feel of the wrap around grips and the black and white of the new SKU looks pretty sweet, too, and that they’re allowing for it to be color customs in the design lab. Hope that goes for the components and case as well
why does it not stay tho colored tho? my issue id i set it up and then within then the controller turning off or something else it goes back to white. why is that?
I've had mine set to green since I posted the video and it stays green. Is your controller using one of the profiles you made? The three lights in the middle show which profile is in use. If none of the three lights are illuminated, then you're not using any profiles (and the light will just be white).
I imagine it's because when they were creating the Elite v2 controller, they were already spending time and effort designing the PCB and everything. It would have been trivial to add an RGB LED to the board in place of the single-color LED and wire it up as just part of the design process. Updating the Accessories app and building the UI was probably done by another department within Xbox that also handles the rest of the Dashboard and maybe they were focused on other features for a while. Just a guess.

This was so helpful thank you
This was able to be done on Steam for quite a while, it's about time they implemented this on the Xbox Accessories app.
Yeah there were apps that allowed you to do this idk why Microsoft took a while
I have an Elite V2 but don't have the Color menu for some reason. Super annoying
Find out why? U update controller
Thanks man

@@GoTeamScotch how do you select a profile then?
@@RogueKV03 the lights in the middle tells you what profile you're on
Thanks this is so cool
I have this controller, I can change the color, but I can't change the color when I dont use alternate profile (when doesnt light up the 3 little led)
Yea just noticed you can't have a different colour when no profile is selected
I literally just found out by myself about this
Nice. Yeah I saw Major Nelson post about it on Instagram and went to check it out. It's a simple feature, but pretty cool nonetheless. 👍
Same here
Thanks
Hey could you please tell me how to get them colours I'm so bad at customizing stuff I subbed
The video shows the steps. At what point did you get stuck?
@@GoTeamScotch I meant could you tell me the hex code number of the colours you are using I really like them
I wish we could change the color on our xbox to match it
Why is only for the 2? Why not for Star Wars Xbox controller
... I'm sorry??? The elite 2 controllers had the capability to change button color this whole time and they didn't implement it till now??

@@GoTeamScotch I suppose but at the same time it seems strange to add a likely more expensive led piece and then not utilize it for years lol
Do you know why this option isn’t on the pc version of Xbox accessories
So u cant use this on old gen Xbox controller
It doesn’t work for me
YOO THIS ISNT CAP
Nome aparese para canbiar el color bro

does it work on xbox one too?
Yup. It doesn't matter which version of Xbox you have. You just need to have an Elite v2 controller.
Nothing there don’t work
If you add some details, I might be able to give a few tips. What have you tried?
Can i change it from pc?
You can do it on steam in the controller settings. Its been available for a while now.
