I found one at a gun show and love it. It didn't have a box, didn't have the original gips, unfortunately, and someone had it magna ported. With all that being said, i got a good deal on it. Looked like it lived in a sock drawer. The finish is flawless. Im very pleased to add it to the .44 collection.
That’s a sweet piece. I have the model 24-3 in 44 special in that run. Only 5000 of each were made. I’ve always been on the lookout for the magnum. Very nice find
Wow! Beautiful 29; brings back memories of my 3" 629 in the late '80's. If you want to experience the true meaning of recoil and muzzle blast with full power Magnum loads, this is your hand-cannon!!
I actually got to shoot a Lew Horton .357 over 35 yrs ago, an loved it, tryed to buy it from my buddy, but that was a no go, go figure. I think he was in love with it more than I was, an he still has it. Thx for the vid
Hi. I had the 629 stainless version of this Horton revolver. It was a lovely piece. The Police took it when the handgun happened here. I am in UK. A crying shame.
I have some of the 20/20est hindsight on earth. I sold my 29 4" because it was too pretty for holster carry. I pulled a decent gain money wise, but that cash and the beauty are far too gone. I bought a 4" 629 for carry. It's great, but doesn't have the aesthetic of the 29. When the Lou's came out, I had plenty of opportunity to get one, but my 6½" was all I was interested in having. I felt that a short barreled 29 was wasteful, in that it would make monstrous flash and may not be able to generate the velocity needed for bullet expansion. Since those times, I've solved the issue of expansion by loading with Glaser ammo. My advice to any younger folks is to shop extensively and obtain as many arms as you can. Most importantly, KEEP them. Don't let anyone convince you to part with your important possessions. I have an adult son and passing them on to him has made them far more valuable to me.
Well your channel popped up again, I'm glad! I do wish you tube would quit playing the unsubscribe game! Anyway, at my age and 5 decades of shooting the .44 mag is kinda' off my list of guns to shoot! This hand cannon is for the folks with young joints! Best to us',,,,!
@@Icarryone Just purchased a S&W 686 plus to go along with my GP100. Haven't put any rounds down range with it yet. 3 " barrel and a few oz. lighter than my GP100. Can't wait! Would like to finish the set of wheel guns with a Colt Python. That will most likely be all I can afford. Especially with the country in the state that its in. Always enjoy your video's! Keep them coming!
Yeah buddy. !!!! Icarryone has the big iron on his hip. Nature can't 🐻 to show themselves when he enters the backcountry. 🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪👍👍 Most enlightening and insightful. Did not know that. Always a pleasure to learn something new from you good sir
@@Icarryone ... At least it's created more witnesses. They can get a good look at someone being butchered in the street when they don't have to be encumbered with the ability to defend the life of another.
@@Icarryone to be honest, knife-crime is actually very low, despite how it may look on the news. it's just a bit of "media sensationalism". Nevertheless, I would like a 12 gauge.
It's wonderful you've showcased my favorite handgun. As I'm sure you know I carry the 6" model 29-1. My carry load is a light special that gives me better control with less recoil than a .357 magnum with wad cutters. What is your preferred load for your model 29?
It's sitting right next to my K-38 Masterpiece - I'm hoping they will get together and make me another J-Frame. That said, I rightly couldn't break up a potential family . . . now could I? Thanks for the offer.
I did like your presentation. Very knowledgeable, real voice, good photography well done. I personally don't like the grips as I prefer square butt Herrets.
She’s a beaut Sir!
Indeed!
A better time in America. Quite a beautiful piece that sparks the nostalgia of my childhood.
👍🤠

Love the 3".
It's a handful!
I just inherited a 44 special that looks identical to that same pistol!!
Yours is most likely a Model 24.
A classic beauty.
👍🤠
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
beautiful pistol.one that ive never heard of before ,ill definately have to check around online for that one
👍🤠
She quite the looker! Bet she slaps harder than Will Smith when its packing 44mag's payloads! ;) Thanks for sharing!
Yes, it can be a bit snappy with magnum loads.

Beautiful example my friend some of the Lew Horton specials are super nice. Nothing like a Snubby 29
Agreed!
I've been collecting lew horton's for many years. Love them have this one also. Have a lew horton 5" also.
Very cool! 👍

Something about a classic blued S&W revolver..without the lock...just seems right.
Agreed!
fantastic revolver !!!!! ( .44 special only for me though 🙂) I have similar grips on my SW 627 snubbie !!
👍🤠
That's a fine firearm. Even if it kicks like a Georgia mule
Yeah buddy!
Bellissimo revolver
👍🤠
NICE GUN!!!!
Love ur videos from the uk. I’ve never seen a gun in real life (common here), but love this shit
To clarify, I’ve never held a real firearm (seen)
I've heard that taking all the firearms away from citizens in the UK hasn't done much to curb all the stabbings.

It sure is!
I’d love to have any of these, probably m24 1st, m57 2nd, m29 next. That said, they’re not turning up often or inexpensively.
Yes, hard to find and certainly not cheap.

240 grain bonded hollow point pushed along by a max load - it's the only way to go!
THAT's WHOA
👍🤠
I'm not sure what I really want; Every caliber in 3", 4" or 6". I definitely want J, K, L & N.
Yeah buddy!
I can imagine this would be difficult to manage with magnum rounds
Definitely not one you would enjoy shooting one-handed.
sweet
👍🤠
Your safe must be ridiculously overcrowded....... I'd be willing to help you out by holding this in my safe for you...... that's what friends are for

I have the Ed Norton version
👍🤠
I would love to add a 29 to my collection or an anaconda. I currently have a Vaquero.
👍🤠
...all I have is a Taurus model 85...
Nothing wrong with that - I like my Taurus revolvers!
Did you get the holster with it?
No, but I bought one for it.

I would want counter bored ,can live without barrel pin and will not tolerate Hillary hole.
Don't care much for models with the Hillary hole either.
