I live in Kingwood . I love the fact that the Busch International Airport is only 15 mins away . I love the trails. Great schools too.
Great teachers. Elementary, Middle and high schools are great . Our house didn’t get flooded. We have been here since 1990.
Love the green wooded area. Oh, the restaurants by the lake are awesome.
Hey what’s the zip code
I grew up in kingwood. There’s a usually a flood of some size every 7-10 years. I can recall the floods of ‘94 and tropical storm Allison. I wasn’t in kingwood for Harvey, but it flooded areas of kingwood along West Lake Houston parkway that had never flooded before.
It always flood. It’s flooded 3-5 times since Harvey. Just flash floods but enough to make roads impassable
I grew up north of Kingwood before there was a Kingwood. The area was a palmetto flat. We all laughed when they started developing it, saying it’s going to flood. It does, always has. Always will. Started building houses in there in the late 70s.
Many mortgage companies require flood insurance. They’re protecting their investment. My home is on a slight ridge in the Spring area and has never flooded, but we did our due diligence and chose the home because it never flooded. If it’s an issue for a buyer, do your research!
I’m so glad you’re doing a video on fulshear I drove out 2 years ago and recently went and was blown away by the food garden they have for the whole community
Hello Jackson and Joe, I have watched all your videos, very impressive presentation and straight forward marketing. I am moving to Houston sometimes late of this year or early next year, with confidence I believe you're the best resource to help my move in the future. Please keep posting videos and updates, will get in touch with you soon. Thank you.
sounds good cant wait to hear from ya!
Im in a north dallas suburb (originally from California) my kids areon swim team here. Are there swim teams down that way? My kids are 9 so beginner swim teams?
It you go to Torchy Taco located in Kingwood, thay have a mark on the wall that shows how deep the flood water gotten. way to minimize the flood lol.
😂😂😂
Love you guys😂 great video, lots of in depth info THAT'S what we need as a person who lives in the Midwest and wants to get a REAL feel before deciding to move! Thank you! Please do Sugarland, Pearland and the closest suburbs to downtown Houston, that area confuses me...whats in between the towns i listed and downtown/midtown Houston
hey we like to be ourselves!! ya we are trying to do as much as we can but we can also help more if you reach out! thanks for watching!
Reminds me of North Tampa ❤❤❤
Are there any commercial developments coming to the area?
I am from Sugar Land, I always thought the north of town was so beautiful but never got a chance to see. The story of your brother and law's commute sounds so long. I mean it is like too different worlds from where he works to where he lives.
Loving your videos.
Thanks so much!
The weather we can plant tropical plants???
Very good but we need to know how about flooding and hurricane???
The groves is cool subdivision Comunnity in humble what erea you in north texas
I miss Kingwood so much
Is there any development going on in towns long the 290? Have you guys video those areas such as Waller county?
Wearing the Nike shirt with the umbrella on it while making the flood video 😃. Coincidental? Question brother, I am a 100% VA service connected, was curious if you have any lenders that are familiar with TVLB Mortgage Loans. We are in Austin now looking at areas like Kingwood, The Woodland Hills, and Conroe to re locate when the rates cool down and prices deflate a little. Any recommendations?
ya for sure Joe has helped a few! reach out to the team and ask for Joe!!
Also do not stay anywhere off northpark dr. That is where all the crime neighborhoods are. There are a lot of low rental properties in there and frequent ceime even a few murders😢.
I golfed at clubs of Kingwood. Awesome course
hell ya what course??
I feel like Kingwood is just getting so crowded and they always cutting down the trees now
Grew up in Kingwood. It floods all the time. 😂😂😂😂😂. Not a place to raise a family when it’s constantly flooding. Too many people, over-crowded and such a boring place to live.
@@colinfarrell1994 it’s flooding rn. Such a shame what they are doing to that area. Hope everyone has flood insurance and is safe rn
Why do houston neighborhoods not have sidewalks and some have those big drainage ditch in front of houses?
It’s an Oil & Gas-based economy and a huge car culture. People who want to stay fit tend to get in their cars & *drive* to gyms, lol.
Alternatively, they seem to accept hike/ bike trails that may run through better communities as ‘just fine’- using them as recreation only, not for transportation.
This sucks. I won’t buy into these areas.
What are the best flood insurance in TX? I know it depends on how they responded during the flood
great channel im moving to houston need to rent first.,,,mortgage hard to get any rentals not to expensive
How is Kingwood for a single senior?
A little late...but what about aircraft noise? George Bush Intercontinental Airport isn't that far away. Also what would be the min household income to live in Kingwood? Thanks.,
Got to have money nobody broke live in kingwood mostly entrepreneurs,Teachers,Doctors, police officers with family live there
Cypress vs Katy?
Houston have machinist shop???
Hey!! How you?
JACKSON!!!! Watching you on the flatscreen.
Listen, please, do videos with your dog. Pup's, could just be sitting with ya. Dogs & Cats sell videos
All the best;
Shaun of NYC 🦉
Is Kingwood a good area to retire? I really like the idea of the trails...
Oh man there are even "patio home" style neighborhoods and older walking groups, dog walking groups, yes lots of retirees who never left! reach out and we can talk more personally!
NO. Ive lived is Houston longer than this lying realtor been alive. The Kingwwod community is not bad. But it's in Humble. Humble is black ghetto. If you want to have to go eat in black ghetto if you want to go out to dinner, Kingwood is not for you.
When you are going to upload the vlog tour of Elyson community
its on the list for sure.
@@LivinginHoustonTX thank you
What about Cross Creek West in Fulshear?
haha we just went there, video soon!
Them kingwood houses are gorgeous and so affordable, love the idea of owning a 1 - 1.5 acer lot, as a Californian, my house are similar but cost me $1.3 mil. I'd probably buy a retirement house in kingwood and lease it out, but then I did some research, why renting market in kingwood is so dead? lol, like dead in Huston in general
Those size lots are NOT the norm.
5:11 what a total farce. Dude is telling you that houses most houses were built in the 80's while showing videos of houses that were built post 2010. Those houses being shown are not even close to reflective of the vast majority of houses in Kingwood. Those are in the 1 million and up range.
What district is this for schools ?
Humble ISD
He dores not know what he's talking about. Part of Kingwood is zoned foe New Caney ISD which is a total shithole.
Jackson wilkey what part of Houston you in
Harvey 13 trillion gallons of rain!
can you do friendswood
ya need to put that on the list!
thanks
I live in Kingwood and I will say… this is a good video but extremely cherry picked.
I thought best neighborhood for family is West university place in Houston. Katy says they are the best, the woodlands says they are the best, Kingwood says they are the best 😂
West U is great if you're gay, have no kids and love crime.
@@TOMVUTHEPIMPI.e., what most US cities offer anymore- beautiful historic n’hoods subjected to spillover crime from neglected areas 😩
Democrat run city, stay away
Yep. After Houston annexed Kingwood, AND TOOK AWAY OUR VOTING RIGHTS the first year, it was time to GO. I don't miss it AT ALL. I miss a couple of restaurants in Humble (Taste of Korea and Italianos) and my friends though. Kingwood is boring. There is nothing to do if you don't golf.
