Laci put on blinders and was determined to have that baby. She may have harbored doubts about her marriage but could not have imagined he would snuff her out at their very home. I find this story a true horror story! Scott was empty inside, a narcissist and psychopath, that, like Chris Watts, went after the next shiny object, proving only that these sick individuals think they can outsmart others, leaving lives in ruins and tragedy in their wake.

-Conner (baby) was determined to be alive until Jan 3rd by both the States expert and the Medical examiner? Furthermore, Dr Charles March testified there is no way that Scott and Laci Peterson's unborn baby could have died any earlier than Dec. 29, 2002. Dr Allison Galloway determined the baby could have even been alive as far along as Jan 14th. So how is he guilty if Laci was alive after the 24th?
-How did Conners body end above the water break and high tide line if he was in the ocean?
-How did his left ear get permanently flattened against his head and a rectangular piece of material was over it?
-Why was their no animal feeding on Conner whatsoever?
      - How did plastic wrap get knotted around his neck that had to be cut off, not far from a plastic bag which was never tested? Dr. Cyril Wecht, who examined Conner's body but who did not testify, told Greta van Susteren that Conner's head measured 28 cm circumference and his neck measured 20 cm (On the Record, October 27, 2004). 28 cm = 11.02360 inches; 20 cm = 7.87400 inches. He confirmed the measurements in another interview with Fox News, and expressed his disbelief that the twine accidentally wrapped around Conner's neck. He also conjectured about the baby being in a bag.
-Why was Laci's uterus was at least 10 cm (3.9") smaller than it should have been? Certainly explains why the incision to remove Conner was not visible on her body, and the injured 9th rib, postmortem injury is in the same location where such an incision would have been made.
-Why did police ignore evidence, tips and sightings that points in a completely different direction?
Isn't it standard police practice to track down a missing person's last known whereabouts? It's not like they didn't have credible eyewitnesses that seen her walking on the 24th. Some called multiple times. Police ignored them. Sounds like tunnel vision and incompetence led to her death since the science proves she was alive after that day.
      - Why was there no cadaver scent if Laci had been dead in the boat, warehouse, truck or home?

The boat came equipped with a fish finder and a small trolling motor. So, Scott had everything with him necessary to troll fish, which is what he said he was doing.
He had forgotten some new lures in truck. The main reason he took the boat out was try out.

      Harshman Grogan testimony
GERAGOS: And they have witnessed the incident, and don't know if they have called Modesto PD yet or not, correct?
      GROGAN: Correct.
      GERAGOS: Okay.
JUDGE: Does he say what time of the day that was?
      GERAGOS: This was at 10:08?
GROGAN: That would be 10:08 a.m.
GERAGOS: So, at this point, Mr. Harshman has called on the 28th at 6:50 said he saw a woman being forced into a van, gave a description of the van. Then approximately two months later a New York City police detective says, I have talked to, presumably, Harshman's wife who may have witnessed the incident, correct?
GROGAN: Yes. He got the information from a friend of Miss Harshman's, Mr. Harshman's wife, I believe.
GERAGOS: Okay. And specifically you contacted him on May 18th, 2004, correct?
      GROGAN: Yes.
GERAGOS: And he, when you contacted him, he told you that the same day he called into the police department. You put it down at 12:28, right?
GROGAN: Yes, based on that tip.
GERAGOS: I don't think you ever saw this. I'm just going to show this to you. When I went through the tip lines, at 14789, it looks like somebody called in, but the name that was written down was Thomas Harsh. Do you see that?
      GROGAN: I see it.
GERAGOS: Okay. You hadn't seen that before right now, had you?
      GROGAN: No.
GERAGOS: Okay. It says, reporting that three or four days ago he saw a pregnant lady being pushed into a van. Caller given to Detective Holmes. You were not aware that Harsh had indicated that it was three or four days prior to the 28th when he had actually phoned in; isn't that correct?
GROGAN: No, I don't think so.
GERAGOS: Okay. This is the first time that you have seen that, because when the caller, whoever took down the information, they just wrote Harsh as opposed to Harshman, correct?
      GROGAN: Correct.
GERAGOS: Okay. And he said that he, specifically, on the same day that he had called in, he had seen a van parked on the south side of Scenic, west of Claus, which he described as a 70s, American-made model, beige in color, correct?
GROGAN: Is that the tip that you are reading from top?
      GERAGOS: No. I'm at 4527.
      GROGAN: Yes.

@@pixels2u Why would he plan on going to the busiest marina to dump a body in boat he has never had in the water before in thr middle of the day? Her body was never duped in the bay. The water is on average 3 - 4 deep.
How did the uterus 'tear' open over time? If so, why was there no animal feeding or any sign Conner was ever in the bay? Should we really believe Conner would make it through the rocks and so far up on to shore. The supposed track was a hazardous journey. Yet the only damage (a 'tear') was supposed to have been made by the police trying to pick it up.
The cut or tear in the uterus makes 'coffin birth' impossible. The only ways in which a baby can be released from the mother is by birth or by C-section. Since testimony was offered that Laci didn't give birth to Conner, then we must assume that someone cut him from her living body.

Conner could not have washed ashore from any direction under the conditions that existed on April 13. The water level produced by the 5.88 high tide simply did not produce a waterway to carry him to where he was found. And he was beyond the debris line, which means that he was not pushed back to where he was found by the breaking waves.
The SF Medical examine told the lead detective that it would be highly unlikely that 32 lbs would submerge the body. It would just float. He also said the currents would likely take the body out to sea. She was found nearly 4 months later. How do currents flowing Southbound at 4 knots place either body where they were found.
-Conner (baby) was found above the high tide line and water break.
-The baby's left ear was permanently flattened against the head, and a rectangular piece of material was over his ear.

The man was described as 30’s, tall, thin, with ponytail, dirty blonde to gray hair, scrubby looking. She had a month and a half to go before her delivery date. He had left her alone every work day before that as he went on his selling trips to farms all over the area. And if he HAD told Laci about Frey as he claimed, she may well have wanted him out of the house for the day. There are American men who travel into the interior of Canada for a few days fishing which takes a combination of plane trips over an extended time. His actions were totally reasonable.

@@NoSpam1891 I have to agree. She may have felt fine and her family were a phone call away if she needed help. He had a job that had him away from home at least part of the time. So that he went to do an activity at that stage of pregnancy doesn't surprise me; plus it was during the day; she supposedly wasn't going to be alone on Christmas eve evening. I also think it is possible that he told Laci about Amber Frey; and it could have been presented simply as a physical outlet for him (whether Laci liked it or not.) Laci stayed with him after she found out he cheated before (when they were living separately.) Still, there is something extremely odd about Scott Peterson; he seemed removed from the idea that his plan (if there were one) might fail. He strikes me as being very stupid, but was he? Or was he just "even if I am suspected, no one can prove anything" which is more arrogance rather than stupidity. I think his friends from his high school to college to early employment days could have shed light on his personality and values; yet I have read and seen and heard very little of that.

When he realized it was much worse he flipped and totally dedicated himself to the search. There's a long list of things he did to find Laci. He could have faked being innocent but didn't try. He did try to keep Frey a secret because he correctly surmised that exposing that would end any searching. He was right, even Laci's mother abandoned her. "Special Agent Doug Mansfield testified that it appeared to him that Scott and Laci were living within their means.
Laci's brother, Brent Rocha testified that Laci was frugal and careful with money and that Scott was handy and had done many of their home improvements himself. Brent testified that with regards to the Rocha family finances, there was no financial motive for Scott to do anything to Laci or Conner. Laci was to inherit $160,000+ from the sale of her grandparent's home. Laci would have received this money after her grandfather died and when she reached the age of 30. (Laci's grandfather was moved into a skilled nursing facility in the fall of 2002 and died in December 2003.) There was another Rocha family trust valued at over $2,400,000. Laci and her two siblings would have eventually inherited half of that estate. Scott would inherit none of this money if Laci were dead.
Scott and Laci's financial planner, Brian Ullrich testified that Scott was funding a retirement plan.
Tradecorp accountant, Jeffrey Coleman testified that Scott received a raise in January of 2003.
Modesto City Auditor, Gary Nienhius testified on direct examination that Scott and Laci's debt ratio had increased from 2001 to 2002. Upon cross examination by defense attorneys it was revealed that he had not been given Laci's 2002 income (over $6000) for his calculations and that this income would have made a difference in his calculations. Nienhius also testified on cross examination that Scott and Laci's credit report showed "paid" and "never late" on all accounts. They had multiple credit lines available to them with zero balances. He testified that Scott paid the premium for Laci's medical insurance on December 23rd, the day before she went missing. Scott and Laci were also making additional principal payments on their mortgage."

This is the most concise and clear restatement of this case I've seen so far. Great job. And it indeed may be true that it was mostly about Connor. There is some indication that Laci was ill during the pregnancy because Scott was poisoning her in order to induce a miscarriage. (After all, he had access to many chemicals due to his work in the fertilizer industry.) It didn't work, and Scott had boxed himself into so many corners that he felt he needed to kill them both before the delivery of the baby. It may be that had he been successful in causing Laci to lose the baby, he would not have felt the need to resort to killing her, too. However, to work oneself into enough of a rage to kill your loving, innocent wife with your own bare hands, and at Christmas, too, HAS to imply a certain amount of at least hidden violent hatred of the victim, whether or not it's defined as sociopathy.

Brent Rocha confirmed that Scott did indeed plan to have a family, and was quite emotional about becoming a father:
Mark Geragos: And also fair to say that she was very excited about the kid?
      Brent Rocha: Yes.
Mark Geragos: Okay. And Scott was as well?
      Brent Rocha: Yes.
Mark Geragos: When he talked about, when you talked to him, he would express the fact that he's, I mean he's a goal-oriented person; you heard that description earlier today. You would agreed with that, right?
      Brent Rocha: Yes.
Mark Geragos: And is, one of his goals was to have a child and a family?
      Brent Rocha: Yes.
Mark Geragos: Okay. And he told you that he was thinking about what kind of father he was going to be and he was crying and he said he was going to be great; isn't that what he told you?
Brent Rocha: That's what he was saying.
Sharon Rocha confirmed, on Larry King Live, that Laci told her Scott had changed his mind about having a baby shortly after they moved to Covena in October 2002:
ROCHA: “that's when she told me that Scott had said that he didn't think he wanted to have children. Of course that concerned me because we'd had conversations before in his presence or they had had conversations in my presence about having children.
KING: So then it shocked you?
ROCHA: It did. It really surprised me.
KING: But then she got pregnant.
ROCHA: Well, then she went on to say that not only did she -- that he didn't think he wanted to have children, she also said that he didn't want to. So, I was -- I was really upset about that knowing that he knew how she felt about having children.
And then it was about a month or so later, it was around Thanksgiving time she and I were in the kitchen preparing dinner when she told me that she's going to stop taking birth control pills in December. Well, that surprised me because it had only been a month ago that Scott didn't want to have children.
So, we had a conversation about that and I said, "Are you sure? Are both of you absolutely sure because you can't put the baby back once he's here"? Well, it was an it at that time. It was nothing at that time. And she said, yes, that they had talked about it and they were ready that Scott was ready also.
Greg Reed gave testimony about Scott's and Laci's relationship, and Scott's participation in Laci's pregnancy.
HARRIS: You also, Kristen, your wife, became friends with Laci, is that fair?
REED: All four of us met at the same time.
HARRIS: And they became friends separate of you and Scott? Kristen and Laci became friends?
      REED: Yes, they did.
HARRIS: And at some point you and your wife began a Lamaze class at your home, is that correct?
      REED: That is correct.
HARRIS: And you asked Scott and Laci if they would like to join in the Lamaze class?
      REED: That is correct.
HARRIS: And they agreed to do that, right?
      REED: Yes.
HARRIS: Okay. During about a one month period, they came to your house on a weekly basis to participate in the Lamaze classes, is that right?
REED: That's probably about right. About once a week.
HARRIS: You got a chance to see them interact quite a bit during that, didn't you?
      REED: Yes.
HARRIS: And your impression, from telling the police, your impression was that they were a very happy couple?
      REED: Yes.
HARRIS: And, in fact, you told the police Scott treated her very, very well?
      REED: Yes.
HARRIS: They both, I believe your quote to the police was they were both very excited about the baby coming, is that right?
REED: That's what it appeared, yes.
HARRIS: And you were called in an interview you did with the police, excuse me. Let me take that back. Do you recall an incident at one point where you were looking through a catalog called Cabella's catalog?
      REED: Yes, I remember that.
HARRIS: What is the Cabella's catalog?
REED: It's a hunting, fishing, outdoors-type of magazine. And equipment.
HARRIS: And they actually sell kids' camouflage outfits, is that right?
REED: In that magazine they were.
      HARRIS: In that particular one?
      REED: Yes.
HARRIS: During that time you were looking at it, both you and Scott were going through the, the kids' section or the kids' outfits,
hunting and fishing, or whatever outfits, and the two of you were talking and laughing about how much you couldn't wait to buy your kids those kind of outfits, is that correct?
REED: I remember that clearly, that's correct.
HARRIS: Okay. Scott was very excited about that possibility, wasn't he?
      REED: Yes.

What I will never forget is how calm, cool and collected he was throughout handling his missing wife and throughout the trial. His demeanor was unusual considering the stress level. It indicated to me that he was wired differently. I do not think he killed his wife simply because of the baby. I think he wanted an easy way out of the whole situation, and he didn’t want any financial responsibility.

I can see the imprint on the comforter across the bottom of the bed with no other sliding mark, as if what was on it was lifted off not like someone got up & off the bed themselves changing the imprint.

It’s not that people think he’s innocent, it’s that the trial wasn’t fair. If he is tried again he will no doubt be found guilty. We must have fair trials no matter how much we believe a person is guilty.
