I’m going to be honest and let y’all know, my favorite thing about these videos isn’t y’all’s reviews as great as they are. I really just love seeing a father and son spending time together like this, and a Dad being so open to exploring music of different kinds an most of all I feel like the Dad really doesn’t like the music as much as he does seeing how happy this stuff makes you as his son. 😊 I love it! Facts. I wish my dad was this receptive. His granddaughter is turning 3 and his grandson is turning 2 this year and he still hasn't met them, despite him being wealthy and offering to fly him out. He currently has me blocked on social media lol

Your dad reminds me of my dad. Growing up, we weren’t allowed to listen to rap music. Now he sings along to the old school classics. Just goes to show you, sometimes we judge people because of outside influences. But, until you hear what they’re saying, you listen and form your own opinion, you won’t know what you’re missing.

To what Dad was saying towards the end, I fully agree. 80's, 90's, and very early 2000's rap & hip hop have WEIGHT to it, that is very hard to find in the modern stuff. It exists, but it's not common.

What your dad said at the end is facts! Music like this was revered because the power behind the message. The only mainstream rappers who can have a message delivered in such a way where the majority of "hip hop fans" wouldn't call them "cOrNy" are J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar. You couldn't go a day without hearing Hate it or Love It on major hip hop radio stations when the song came out. Today, you'll never (or very rarely) hear anything close to this song, or artists who actually care about hip hop on the radio.

I really enjoy watching your vids. It has introduced me to some music I've never heard (mostly the non-hip hop stuff) and have grown to like. Best parts of the channel though has to be the interaction between the two of you and of course Dad's open mindedness and genuine insights, some i haven't thought of before (I grew up on 90s hip hop). I love that he cares enough to remember the smallest details of some songs and compare them to others he hears later. Happy to see your channel grow!
