I was in like 4th or 5th grade when this album came out and I was obsessed with this song. It still hits and gives me goosebumps. This concept of you introducing your dad to songs he’s never heard is super dope. Love your videos!
This is truly amazing, 50 Cent might not get the credit for his lyricism but how he paints the picture for 2 white men to vividly get this story and feel it is pure genius. This is what music does... and I love it.
50 has accomplished a great deal in various avenues, but musically I don’t think he’s ever executed anything as masterfully as he did with this album. He had a couple of bangers on other albums, and some singles(+featuring), but this album was absolute insanity. He had Em in his corner, who helped thrust this diamond in the ruff into the spotlight, but 50’s prints were all over the masters and his raw story and hunger were unmistakable. The bars were abundant and poeticism, rich. One of my all time favorite albums, for sure.
You love what? Two white boys shaking their heads to some rap song about niggas killing each other, and you love it. They don't even have enough respect for your black ass to play the edited version, but you love it.

I actually saw 50 Cent's Get RIch or Die Tryin tour live. Funny story, I was suffering from seizures at the time and had one after the last opener. I recovered and returned to the arena floor just as 50 was about to come on stage. When he performed this, thousands of people were chanting the chorus along, in unision. Me included. Glad I didn't miss the show.
It's cool how your dad is open minded enough to sit down and really listen to hip hop. You can tell that he's out of his element but he's digging it. It'd be funny to see him listening to many men while driving down the street. 😂🤣 Oh and you forgot to tell him that 50 rapped that whole song with a broken jaw. His jow was literally wired shut when he rapped that.
I was in the Navy when “Get Rich or Die Trying” dropped. “Many Men” was one of the best songs on the album. Now look at 50. He’s hilarious online, is an excellent businessman & a huge figure in Hip-Hop still, all these years later. REACT TO “BLACK GIRL LOST” by NAS!! Pleeeease!
Would love to see your dad put us on some of his music next. This was great. This song is a whole lot more meaningful when you know the background. Always gave me the chills.

"You'd think those two lifestyles: the life of an artist and the life of a tough street guy, wouldn't go together." This is the nature of what happens when poverty and municipal neglect become generational due to systemic issues that limit opportunity - you get geniuses who fall through the cracks of the system...and some who manage to grow up through them.
Although I already knew this, and agree with this, one thing this comment made me think on is how much further we may be progressed if the world wasn't so terrible, not just when it comes to the US, but the entire world. How many Genius's have fallen through the cracks? Its a sad reality.

“Many men” can actually be a military cadence. It’s like a war song. Great review and album 💿 🔥🔥🔥
The thought of a bunch of soldiers singing this sends chills down my spine. Military cadences are super powerful.
@@queenieqt2033 it would be dope right!

If you check the comments there’s an Iraq veteran who credits this song for getting him through it

One of the toughest songs ever. 50 was crazy poppin at that time, he really had his own era.
Man when this album dropped this was the one that stuck out the most

Yea he had a good about 5-6 years at the top before Wayne took over which is pretty good in hip hop which is a genre that’s support is heavily dominated by the youth
I respect that your dad appreciates music. He picks up so quickly on interpreting what he’s hearing
Your dad explains things in a very coherent and intelligent way, almost teacher-like, in a great way of course :) Love the vids
This song will always be legendary

"He got hit like I got hit but he ain't fucking breathing" was one the first things one of my best friends said after he was shot in the head during a attempted robbery. he got lucky and saw one of the guys pulling a gun out of the corner of his eye it was the last thing he ever saw out that eye because bullet severed his optic nerve but he still managed to get off 3 or 4 shots dropping one of the guys where they stood and clipping the other. And that lyric was his simple answer when we asked what happened his mom filled in the full story.

Normally I wouldn't comment but this is special. Wish I could have had this with my Dad. Peace.
Appreciate your comment, and we get the sentiment.
4:28 We all know, but damnit its just brilliant how clear it is to a fresh mind, yes 50 walked the walk and talked the talk, one of the last real ones.
They're breaking it down like we did to poems in my literature classes in high school, it's so beautiful.😍
Listening to music with your dad like this is really something special. My dad was a music journalist in his days, but still hes nowhere as "open" as yours to rap music. You have a really cool dad
"Served drugs" is hilarious but I guess its technically correct. What a great analysis of an iconic record

I just wanted to say the humility, appreciation, and love you both show for not only the beautiful artistry of this music but the lives that really come out of this extremely hard lifestyle is so sweet to me. I’ve watched all the Pac videos with you and your pops and I just love y’all’s hearts and watching your dad being introduced to this culture. Hugs n love! 🙏🏽♥️💯
Thanks very much! (dad)
Kudos to this young man involving his dad in his love for music - a rare connection. Your respect for your dad and his love for music is commendable.
The relationship between Daddy and son is awesome, I wish I could sit with my dad to listen to raps together. I love this.
I remember being 12 years old and my mom got me this album when it dropped. I played that thing in my Walkman everyday. I knew all the words. The man was like a father to me

You guys listening to this song and attempting to understand the emotion, makes me feel comfortable. There have been so many times when I would sing this song under my breath and stop singing because I would be afraid to be judged. Songs like this being out a certain connection and energy that’s just so good. Glad to see it
I was in like 4th or 5th grade when this album came out and I was obsessed with this song. It still hits and gives me goosebumps. This concept of you introducing your dad to songs he’s never heard is super dope. Love your videos!
I was in middle school when 50 blew the early 2000s was dope!
This is a true father son relationship that we should all strive to have🇬🇧👊🏻
This is truly amazing, 50 Cent might not get the credit for his lyricism but how he paints the picture for 2 white men to vividly get this story and feel it is pure genius.
Its so crazy seeing your dad in disbelief with things we live through everyday. I just showed my boys to prove to them everyone don’t see it the same way

This channel was just recommended to me tonight. I scrolled through your uploads, saw this video and immediately clicked. I am a 28 year old black woman and my father and I bonded to this entire album when it came out lol. Many Men is definitely one of my favorites on this album and it’s amazing that you two are also bonding over this song. You definitely have a subscriber in me, also I would love to see Dad put us young ones on some old school songs!
Nice to hear about your relationship with your pops over this song. Some old school will be coming. Stay tuned. Appreciate the sub! (dad)
True....this dropped out of no where for me also. But good recommendations
Your dad reacted to the line “I’m tryna be what I’m destined to be” like just like a grown man does. I love it.
the last line will forever imo be one of the hardest lines in rap. shit still gives me chills to this day lol
This will always be my favorite song of all time. Emotional, catchy, deep, hardcore, poetic, Gangsta, you name it…all at the same time.
There is something so satisfying about introducing someone to a song/genre you love, and seeing their positive reaction
As a black woman, this makes me smile. Love this song and you guys too
I actually saw 50 Cent's Get RIch or Die Tryin tour live. Funny story, I was suffering from seizures at the time and had one after the last opener. I recovered and returned to the arena floor just as 50 was about to come on stage. When he performed this, thousands of people were chanting the chorus along, in unision. Me included. Glad I didn't miss the show.
He’s analyzing everything. What a great man!! He knows what what to focus on and he gets how harsh the lyrics are!
It’s crazy how I have listen to this song many many times, but when his dad was reading the lyrics it gave me chills. CRAZY!!!

Like how you explained that. Thanks for watching.
Although I already knew this, and agree with this, one thing this comment made me think on is how much further we may be progressed if the world wasn't so terrible, not just when it comes to the US, but the entire world.
How many Genius's have fallen through the cracks?

It could be seen as one of the most drastic fall offs ever. Just depends which perspective you want to look from
As someone who wishes we had more classics from 50 cent, I feel like 50 had the game on lock, ripe for his taking but he fumbled it and unfortunately got caught up in g unit drama instead of just focusing on himself
IMO I think that he needed to fall off like that cause it lead to him taking the next step in his career giving us cult classics like "Power"
