Having the whole braille crew and being filmed must be so intimidating for her.
She did so awesome 😎
Thanks so much
Braille goin back to its roots with this one. Great to see. AK and Lance would be proud.
I am proud yes ❤️
love watching videos of yall teaching others to skate. It’s great inspiration for someone who’s only been skating for about 2 months
Focus on learning nollie and switch
Next She should learn how to Nollie 360 Inward Heel. 💯
That would be the next step.
Fr like I learned that before Ollie
Not sure she should do N word heelflips with that light complexion. Might get canceled.
Next tre flip into a 5-0 shuv out next steps u got it just send it
I was thinking drop in straight to a 1080, but that might be 2nd or 3rd trick
She's doing a great job. Nigel is a great teacher. 💯
This was freaking wholesome as F. Nigel is an excellent teacher. GG Nat
Thank you
Thank you braille for starting to show these type of vids! Really helps (us) beginners get excited and not be our own worst critics. Much appreciated
You're so welcome!
Agreed :)
Natalie is doing awesome. The first time I tried to drop in was on a mini, maybe 3 feet tall, and I beefed it hard. That was after a couple years of street skating experience.
She’s doing excellent for only 3 months. I think she’s riding the exact same board as me, love that color.
Thank you
Def do more of these. It's great to see new skaters pushing through the struggle. (Also it was her hands, not the shoulders. Have her spin with the weight of her hands like a dancer with no board so she can feel it. Watch the segment where Nigel shows nat the kickturn. He back rotates both arms and then throws that kinetic energy into the turn. $0.02) love to the braille crew
Love these videos so much, love to watch how different people slowly pick apart mental blocks, please keep doing these as well as the always entertaining weird skateboard videos !!
Drop in is literally the scariest trick to do first time. It’s one of the easiest things to do, but you gotta do the mind over matter equation which isn’t easy when you’re starting.
Can verify this lol.
Been skating for over thirty years (street only, and nothing too crazy as far as steps, rails, gaps, or drops) but dropping in on a 3ft qtr-pipe affects me the same way the vert drop-in affects Gabe...no joke! My first attempt at drop in was a five foot and I just sent it with all my confidence (but no guidance or or coaching) and ended up with seven staples in the back of my head... haven't even looked at a quarter pipe since. But this is inspiring me to maybe try dropping in again... some day! 🙃
For real. Looks so easy but you go to try and it's scary stuff. Props to her and all my fellow beginners out there progressing!
Love her. She’s adorable. Keep it up Natalie.
Thanks so much
Skating kick turns are like airs in bmx , when your in the air on a half , to spin all you have to do is turn your head & your body & bike will fallow , you can practically land your tires in the same spot where they came off the ramp , that’s how I learned to ride a half pipe on bmx , 6 foot airs over the coping .
Mad respect for everything you guys do it braille honestly you can teach to technique and you give the confidence y’all never stop doing what you’re doing🔥🔥
I'm 2 seconds in, and this is already a certified Nigel Jones classic.
Love that! I have exactly same issues with dropping in and kick turn. Hope to fix it next time!
I'm with her. I was too scared to skate in my teens, so learnt in my mid 40s: Much less scary.
Nice
Looking forward to following the progress and seeing her next steps! I was at this point maybe 2 or 3 months ago, I wish I had the Braille team with me!
Natalie did a great job. I'm learning to drop in using baby steps. Skating is fun.
I’ll be 40 next year and just learned drop ins after I turned 39. What helps me for some reason is chanting “Drop In. Drop In. Drop In.” And yelling “DROP IN!!” When I do it haha my brother helped me unlock the motion by thinking of slapping my front trucks down as hard as I can and get that smack sound of the wheels as I drop in.
This kind of videos ALWAYS says like new tips for sk8in, i love you all
That was awesome Natalie! Keep persisting! I can definitely see rock to fakie happening very soon!!!
Let's Go!
Yes! Thank you!
Honestly it’s inspirational to see someone who’s not an expert learning! It makes me want to get a board and learn!
Thanks team. Love seeing other people's (beginners) progression ❤
Thanks so much! So do we!
I bought one of your guys skateboards about a week ago since i learned how to ollie and it has been amazingly fun. Love your videos.
I'm 22 years old, and it's never to late to learn. I'm also going to teach my brother and daughter it's gonna be dope
Great job Nat! I’ll be learning along with you! Vibes!
Thank you!
One of my favorite things to see is people learning to skate, its so cool when it clicks and they just get it. That change of mindset is awesome! Keep going Nat and everybody else out there! Yall are doing amazing :)
On top of that, DO NOT BE AFRAID TO FALL!!! its so important that you lose that fear, on wood like that its going to absorb a lot of that "damage" if you can call it that. you have pads and soft wood, youll do so well!
big up ... she is doing great for 3 months of skating ... keep it up
OMG this is EXACTLY what I go though. I never see videos like this. I've watched EVERY drop in video the past year. This is exactly meeeee‼ I'm only on 6 minutes r n but yep 🙏🏽👊🏽
I do notice with Kick turns it becomes soo much easier when you higher on the ramp and much more fun 😊
i think maybe like when i was learning to skate, i did a lot of manual tricks. i mean if u can space walk u can kick turn. maybe incorporate some freestyle tricks into ur beginners program
Yess Natalie!
Natalie is shredding holy fck, love it. Keep it up girl!
Thanks so much!
She seems a natural 🔥 and looking forward to the release of the mixtape 😅
I’ve noticed after learning something if I just don’t focus on the one thing entirely after doing it a few times right I can do it consistently. Had issues dropping my board to get a running start but I never do when I’m focusing on trying to Ollie since it’s not in my mind if I’ll mess up something or not
I loved this video
Thanks so much
OK now I am up to the drop in to the kick turn and that’s exactly what I do 🤦🏽♀️
I’m focused on the drop in and I don’t have time in my head to plan the kick turn so I’m so in every single moment with Natalie 🤷🏽♀️👊🏽
Great stuff 👊🏼
gabes feeling senstive because nat is about to drop in before he does
😂😂😂😂
Nat for sure drops in on vert before Gabe.
She got this
Shes doing well, every time she drops in for the kickturn shes building more muscle memory for the drop in. So it's like double the practice.
Totally
Natalie is super cute she looks amazing I wish her the best of luck
You got this girl!!! Keep practicing and your confidence will only strengthen. I mean you surf which is terrifying
Aye guys I really want to see an old school tricks video. I think there's some funny and forgotten ones and it would be a great idea, so you can do like a challenge! Love u guys
Send us some old school tricks as a challenge!
Shifty, natas spin, ollie airwalk, no handed bennihana, casanova flip, nerd flip, hippy flip, mc twist, rodeo, no comply 180 rewind, boneless fingerflip, old school kickflip, flamingo, rail flip...@@brailleskateboarding
So wholesome
Get Natalie on the team guys that would be amazing to see how quick she'll improve !
She is so sweet
I feel like the reason she’s leaning forward forward is because you’re there so her doing everything by herself is more crucial so she don’t develop that as a habit
This one is great! How to overcome.
15:16 the Camera and knowing there will be lots of people watching has got to be a big contributing factor to the nerves.
Ya its not easy for sure we love the support of a positive community
Ye it’s brave as a new skater to get in front of a camera knowing there’s a big audience on the other end 🤙
Wait wait wait I need Nigel to sing the confidence song!!!!
I reckon dropping in on the other side of the ramp would allow more room to kick turn and alleviate the stress of turning toward the edge of the ramp.
you got this keep on keeping on
We will!
I hope you had a fun Christmas :)
First minute gang! Hope y’all had a great Christmas
I did :)
She’s more worried about catching Nigel before dropping in which I think is making it a bit harder, but Nigel backing up does counter act that a bit. Awesome stuff Natalie and the Braille team. Keeping skating alive✊🏽
Such a cool person
Yea gabe! All you gotta do is drop in!!
She kept looking at Nigel for approval lol, girl you’re doing awesome just believe in yourself
I wish I had a teacher like Nigel, when I first learned to drop in my brother just told me to send it on a 5ft ramp, and I ate it hard, a lot.
Same. I got staples my first and only drop-in on 5ft. quarter. Just stayed in the streets ever since!
Lol same
Oh ya bad place to start. Take it slow one step at a time.
lesgooooo
I love your videos and I watch all of your videos everyday and can you hlep me do tricks on a skateboard and I'm huge fan of your channel I been watching you for 25 months now and awesome RUclipsr in the universe too
I wish I could have one of y’all to help me learn.
You can we have a whole online learning platform
Cool.
Did anyone notice how Gabes how's went deeper throughout the video 😂GABE WE ONTO YOU 😂😂
Nat, you're so cute and you're absolutely Killin'iT.
cool video guys
It'd be great to see a follow up of her or someone who got inspired by this video, to see how their skateboarding improved
Maybe she might not continue skating, but there might be someone else here among all your subs, who learned stuff from this, no doubt
Love it
@@brailleskateboarding I can only imagine on the ep number 10 or so, someone who really got the most out of Braille's coaching
And his/her progression and how each particularly advice helped them get better and have more fun skating
JD legit did a 100 kickflip indy's on one ep, he def knows how to drop in lmaoo
Uh ya hahahahhaa
Current world record for most blindfolded kickflips landed in one minute is 23…you guys got this 💪
they need to do this haha
Bending knees equals lower center of gravity equals better balance
Truth
Fear is reaaaal :( Go mate go!!!
Yeaaaaahhhh
Yes indeed
Im at like half a year maybe but i feel like my consistenty isnt there. But im gonna start early tomorrow 🛹💪
Awesome
how do i get lessons with yall like some in person type shi
Natalie and Gabe, the race to very drop in.
I think I know who’ll win
Cool video
Thanks a ton
I wanted it to cut to Ricky with pink pants doing a crazy trick with no reaction 😂
Haha
I to see the teaching process and how the new Katerina progress though time
Thanks
please dont stop braille skateboaridng. i hope aaron is ok and i want to see him still
I’m thinking darkslide 360 out
Yes for sure haha
10:33 "Because that's literally what I was doing at 16"
Brings to mind an individual from my high school days who enrolled in a photography class with the intention of capturing images of the cheerleaders discreetly.
"if she drops in on vert before me, ill retire" me too gabe
Haha
I would love for you guys to teach me because I need a teacher and you guys would for sure help
VERT DAWG
🤘😎🤘
Lets go
You need to prank Gabe with a fake beginner that’s actually experienced with vert. Make him watch ‘em progress in one day all the way to 540 on vert
Yes yes yes ❤
I’ve been doing this a long time, I would know!
👏👏👏👏
🔥🔥🔥
so next step is an impossible and a drop in on the vert
It seems like she needs falling down lessons to build her confidence. Nobody knows how to fall down better than skateboarders, but I've never seen an experienced skateboarder teaching someone how to do it properly. That could make for an interesting video: How to fall off your skateboard.
She's better than me already 😂
SO PRETTY!!
This forward and this forward ... Frontside?
NIcely done Nat, keep at it!
Thanks so much
I would have her throw some wrist guards on too, might help her feel more secure.
Jd still wearing the grimace crocs in the back ground
Nigel , you're a sweet pa teety!!! Lollll i love you guys
ALL TERRAIN (I wanna skate so bad but I can’t get my hands on a board)
Brailleskateboarding.com
SHE LOVING YOU NIGEL. SHES FLIRTING WITH YOU BIIGGGGG TIMMEEE
He is married...
Touch grass
She can learn to rock to fakie instead of kickturn after she drops in, she was so close to the other side to do that a few times in this video.
so uhhhh where that board at? 🦭
Gabe road to vert?
Yes please
She’s ready for the 900
Better be careful Gabe she is coming for your career 😂😂😂
