In my opinion, this is the best performance from Hua in this show. This song is a very very very special song in Chinese music. It was created and performed by a legend. There were too many Chinese singer performed this song in different stages, however none of them can nail it or even be close to the original version by Leslie Cheung. To me, Hua might be the only artist alive who has priviledge to perform this song. I believe Leslie Cheung would be smiling if he could listen to this beautiful performance.

And every year fans from all over the world make sometype of memorials tributes to him. In my opinion, this is the best performance from Hua in this show. This song is a very very very special song in Chinese music. It was created and performed by a legend. There were too many Chinese singer performed this song in different stages, however none of them can nail it or even be close to the original version by Leslie Cheung. To me, Hua might be the only artist alive who has priviledge to perform this song. I believe Leslie Cheung would be smiling if he could listen to this beautiful performance.

I would say Hua Chen Yu’s “fake monk” is the no.1 in my list. It’s a unique and sensational epic performance in the world. It’s hard the define what the style it is. Highly recommended. You won’t regret, I guarantee.

This song was originally sung by a Superstar singer in Hong Kong named Leslie Cheung, who was a fantastic artist, with ultimate successful acting and singing career awarded countlessly. He was gay, perfectionist, heartwarming likeable nice guy in person, everyone loved him and he committed suicide on April Fool 2003.

Hua is a real artist, so dynamic, so young, trying out his style, and fans love him being so dynamic. And he has god given talent. By the way, most if not all the songs he sings are re-edited by Hua himself.
You should take a look at his "Dad, I'm home". It is something that has to be heard - the lyrics are heartbreaking, but should be heard.

The original singer of the song is Leslie Cheung, a legendary Hong Kong singer, and actor who has committed suicide on April 1st, 2003 because of depression. What's even more pathetic, one of the reasons that cause the depression was the disapproval and hatred of the society for him being a homosexual celebrity at the time. Now that you know there's a hidden meaning behind this song, for Leslie to tell the world that, "I don't care about what the others think about me, I am just what I am."
Leslie is the idol and the mentor of a lot of singers in the younger generation, Hua Hua is just one of the fan. This year was Leslie's 25th death anniversary, that's why instead of making the song into 'Hua style', he didn't make any changes on the song at all - doesn't want to change a single piece of the masterpiece.

Jo Wang i believe HuaHua purposely choose to sing this song on that particular perform time to honor Mr. Leslie Cheung's anniversary which is on April 1st. And every year fans from all over the world make sometype of memorials tributes to him. I'm a big fan of Mr. Leslie Cheung and it was such heart warning thing to listen to this performance and have it kept unchange, very much truth to the original performance with the piano and bathrobe. At HuaHua's first note, i thought i'd heard Leslie-gougou. People said imitation is the most honest form of flattering, HuaHua must really loves Leslie's song to imitate him to the purest.

This is one of Hua's most favorite songs. It means alot to him. After this performance he was so emotional he had to go to his dressing room to recover before he could return to the other contestants on camera. Hua's a true artist.

By the way, he will have a big concert calls Mars for 90,000 people in 9.8 this year at the China Beijing Bird's Nest Stadium which is a sacred place where the Olympic Games have been held.

You know what I find absolutely crazy? I don't know one single word of Chinese! I dont think you guys do either and yet his performance moved us to this degree??? That is insane.
