    Really great instructions,one things is not every one learns the way someone teaches when it comes to knots,but you really make it easy for the guys that would maybe need to see another style of how to tie those knots, easy to pick up real fast from watching this vid ,good job bro

    Love it. Do you ever use hardware to connect the alpine to reduce rope on rope rub and if so what’s your favorite connector for anchors? My old setup was a cast quickie until I read that they’re produced in China and then sold by tree stuff...sorta messed with my mind haha

    • @PoplarMechanic
      @PoplarMechanic  5 лет назад +2

      Ok so in this case I wouldn't be too worried about rope on rope rub. When I do a canopy anchor I use either a quickie (the milled version, pricy though) or a pinto and carabiner.

  • @tholi1052
    @tholi1052 Год назад

      Haha poplars are sketchy but ill do what I can, always back up your rigging, sometimes I backup my tie in, it takes experience, but you can find a balance, and I have been in some of the worst situations possible, at some point it becomes an educated guess, be safe brotha

  • @justinzaff
    @justinzaff 4 года назад

    Alpine Butterfly knots are bullet proof , they don't untie , they can't untie , the stopper knot is just a visual aid to feel more secure but it's not necessary .

    • @PoplarMechanic
      @PoplarMechanic  4 года назад +1
