    Simple and easy- a newer older arborists dream. What I wonder is how likely that tensioned rope could be cut by a rather large falling limb that was cut. Unlikely but probably not impossible.
    Thanks, your videos are always helpful Bino.

    Hey Bino, I have been top rope rock climbing for a few years and am going to try my gear in a tree. Low and slow! Many of your vids have some dark back lighting. Maybe try to keep the Sun behind the camera. Anyway, I enjoy watching! You are a natural teacher and explain thing very clearly! Thanks for you vids! Ron

    great vid! whats your prefered lowerable basal anchor using a separate basal tie off?

    • @BinoH
      @BinoH  4 года назад +2

      I have ring sling with a pruisk cord that I can connect to a figure 8 and a hard lock tie off.

    Question, can you use a figure 8 on a bite instead of the butterfly on you first anchor knot connecting to your quickie? Also, can you use a carabiner as a substitute for a quickie?

    • @BinoH
      @BinoH  4 года назад +1

      Yes you can but if you choose to use a carabiner you should have a hitch that won't allow your carabiner to side load. You could also use a rated screw link.

    There should be a butterfly just above quicky and another one higher up luke you showed ..install lowering system on lower butterfly with emergency rope.... you save a piece of gear or two..🤔

    So in the case of an emergency rescue, do you undo the quickie while under load, or cut the rope below the alpine butterfly? (after you've connected friction device and lowering rope of course.)
