For the transfer on filt what for a paper did you take is that bake paper or What?
It is regular paper...the same kind you use in an inkjet printer, or copy machine. Just plain, white paper. It is the pen that is special. We have a video for the transfer here... ruclips.net/video/mIree5NBY_E/видео.html

Could you use a felt from Joanns Fabrics or Hobby Lobby that isn't 100% wool?
yes...BUT...expect it to not be "as receptive" to receiving the needle AND in most cases it is thinner and the surface area shrinks as you apply dense amounts of wool (as with the eyes)...and as a result, your drawing shifts = gets smaller = changes proportions. We tested, and the 100% wool 1mm is better. Even linen fabric is better.
