The animation of wart being carried away looks better in the original game. Wart is right at the level of their hands rather than floating above their heads. There's also no cutoff graphics because the heroes stand on a cage suspended from the ceiling.

Guess what? This wasn't a dream after all! The game has an obscure sequel for the Satellaview called BS Super Mario USA (or BS Super Mario Bros 2). It's mainly a reskin of the original game (with added audio drama) but the story says that Mario and friends move on, thinking Subcon was a dream, however, they find that Wart returned and overthrew the King of Subcon, and are able to head back there and defeat Wart again.
Well suposidly the land they came from Mario can get through while dreaming, but it is a real place....it's Mario, don't ask questions, otherwise Game Theory will tell you how Peach is dead and Luigi is both Mario's brother and father.

Basically the entire environment in the game including the enemies, landscape, door style, and even picking and throwing veggies don't seem to exist in the other Mario games. SMB2 starts with your character falling into a strange new world, similar to a dream. Plus I read somewhere that Nintendo purchased some other game as a quick way to push out SMB2 on a tight schedule and budget. Change the main characters, add perhaps some other Mario items, put it all in a dream, and done.

I found out that this was never actually a Mario game to begin with. Google “Doki Doki Panic”, it’ll change your perspective on this game. They used the platform for Doki Doki Panic because they were in a hurry to get a sequel out by Christmas I believe.

I have to say this is my fave Super Mario Ending of all time. For me in 1988 to see that being an Atari Kid where there were no endings to video games at all, that blew my mind. And in the day and age of Fallout 3 and other games to have real actors doing the voices to the end of video games rules.

If your wondering about the few mistakes in the credits well here it Birdo is named Ostro and Ostro is named Birdo. Lastly Peach is named as Princess when really its either toadstool or Peach
What an amazing and nostalgic ending and the part 2 music is super calming also the cast roll has errors. List of errors: Hoopster is misspelled "Hoopstar" Birdo and Ostro had their names swapped Tryclyde is misspelled "Triclyde" And Clawgrip is misspelled "Clawglip". Although the errors remain in the Allstars version but in the advance version the errors and mistakes where later fixed and corrected.

I have to say this is my fave Super Mario Ending of all time. For me in 1988 to see that being an Atari Kid where there were no endings to video games at all, that blew my mind. And in the day and age of Fallout 3 and other games to have real actors doing the voices to the end of video games rules.

+HoundBlue And Nintendo still didn't fix that typo even in the All-Stars version of this game.

ok so the egg-shooting boss we all know and love is named ostro.
The music and rolling of the end credits always made me sad as a kid. Still does.
The sleeping animation is so good that I had a Mandela effect of hearing him snoring.
Unless the final boss was Freddy Kruger, it being just a dream was a massive copout.
It's all the mushrooms Mario uses. Finally caught up with him.

I think this is one of the best endings in Nintendo-Games. Yes all that was just a dream - but the music!! I use this tune on my mobile to wake me up in the morning! :)

If your wondering about the few mistakes in the credits well here it Birdo is named Ostro and Ostro is named Birdo. Lastly Peach is named as Princess when really its either toadstool or Peach
What an amazing and nostalgic ending and the part 2 music is super calming also the cast roll has errors.
List of errors:
Hoopster is misspelled "Hoopstar"
Birdo and Ostro had their names swapped
Tryclyde is misspelled "Triclyde"
And Clawgrip is misspelled "Clawglip".
Although the errors remain in the Allstars version but in the advance version the errors and mistakes where later fixed and corrected.
I played this game so much when i was younger, like 8 or 9 and listening to this again... nostalgic asf
I know everyone talks about it, but to beat this game as a kid and to hear that victory song and then see the dream....@_@.........it was like winning a f*cking video game achievement award or something. That feeling was great...........damn memories..lol
