There are hundreds of RUclips channels dedicated to comic books. What makes yours so special is your ability to tell a story. What an amazing job you’ve done here thank you so much. I feel as if I was at the comic book convention myself.

I started watching youtube channels about comics for the very same reason, no one to chat to about them over a coffee or a few beers. I've liked and subscribed to quite a few over the last 6 months and loved many of the videos I've watched, but this one man... this one is the absolute best. Not just for the Con footage but your emotions regarding new and old friends and how your channel has effected you. Absolutely fantastic thank you!
I agree with collectplayandenjoy, your storytelling is great. I used to write feature stories for a local paper and it's hard to find one week after week. You've done incredibly well for two years, and I think I've watched all of your content. Keep it up, and God bless!

Mike, congratulations on 2 years with Lunch Money Comics. It's been a pleasure following you on your adventures. The connections are what we make of them, and the growth of your channel is a testament to this. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. You're a genuine guy, and your success with LMC is deserved and earned. You taught me a couple tricks too, as I parse through my old comics trying to figure out how to "trade up." Glad that you had an awesome weekend, keep up the great work!
Great video, as always, Mike! It's easy to enjoy your genuine, heartfelt message. Thanks for showcasing that it's not about the money, but the people......well done, sir!
I really loved this. Listen, a con is made up of so many disparate elements you could never make it cohesive or linear. So don’t beat yourself up, the videos turned out incredibly well. Best of all, you captured the FUN of the confusing scene and random direction of the con marketplace. If you do this again, don’t change your method at all, the joy was in seeing all the detours and diversions, we don’t need an orderly overview or measured tour. Take pride in these videos, Mike, they are great entertainment and a great time!

Hi Mike, just checked out your entire video. First of all Terrific content. But what i really want to speak on is your commentary at the end. In a world and time so cynical and jaded it is a pure pleasure to see a man talk from his heart about something so simple that brings us such joy. You are correct. The friendships and comraderie brought from this hobby are what makes it so fun.Because you're already dropping any pretense that others might see you as a nerd or whatever. When we know that's just the beginning of the wonderful people we engage with. Thanks for being honest man. This is why your viewership continues to grow.

Words can not explain how much you help us with all your enthusiasm about comics and it great to see you enjoying yourself it brightens up my week that's all I know 😃
It might sound silly but as an off and on collector since the 1970s your enthusiasm for comics and sharing your experiences is helping to rekindle my love for collecting. In 2005 I had a midlife crisis and ..............sold my collection of nearly 3,000 books including a full X-Men run. From the moment I sold the #1 I knew I had screwed up and I actually gave up. Now I am in my 50s and have started my new collection and am down to only 14 of the original X-Men run. The chase is half the battle but I am getting there. #1 will be so tough now but it's a dream to have it once again. Keep the fun videos coming!
Wonderful content as always. Beautiful sentiment at the end. It had been years since I devoted time and energy to comic collecting. Although I have never fully stopped, by keeping my pull subscription going over the years, in 2022 I had a major health issue and event which had stopped me from my usual routines. Then last year I decided to get myself out of the house because I wanted to get back to searching for comics. This has lead me to making new friends and enjoying great experiences at shows similar to you. As you said it's more about the experiences than the comics themselves. Otherwise I would most likely still be laying on the couch feeling sorry for myself.
@@Collectordisorder I’m happy comics have kept you moving! I’ve spoken to a lot of people who say just the physical action of digging through long boxes has done wonders for them
Fantastic video! I saw myself early in the video in the Skottie Young line, that's when I saw you and I had no idea you were filming right before. I wish I had more time to dig as we spent so much time in artist lines. My son, who was great all day with helping with lines and managing signed books was spent by the time we were done so shopping time was very limited. I made some trades and a couple purchases but didn't spend nearly enough time digging. I'll definitely plan for more time next year.
Thank you for 2 great years of your adventures. The friendships made the community that came together. It's more than just chasing expensive paper. It's love. Love for the hobby, love for the community, and love for the extended family you have helped create. ❤
This might be that best comic book video I’ve ever seen. I hope you continue to make content like this for years to come. I agree that the friends mean just as much if not more than the books itself even though a X Men 1 is pretty awesome. Just wanted you too know how much I appreciate the videos you do each week. I hope you get that X Men 4 it’s one I’m looking for as well.
Fantastic video and great to see how the channel has grown and the friendships you have gained. Wish we had a Terrificon in the UK. I’m going to the London Comic Mart in October and will meet some Uk RUclipsrs, which will be great, but nothing compared to u. Love your channel and good luck for the next 2 years

That was an excellent 2 part video. Interesting con footage and truly uplifting at the end. You're still my favorite RUclips comics guy, Mike, keep it up! 🍺
Sounds like such an amazing experience. I also met Charlie Cox last year at our show Fanexpo here in Toronto along with Vincent D'Onofrio and Jon Bernthal. All of them were super nice and gracious. Vincent even fixed a bit of a remark on one of the ASM 50's covering it with his signature and it managed to get a CGC signature series grade bump. Was an expensive weekend but was worth it to get some more signatures on DD 168, a DD 183 and a couple ASM 50's.

I own ~10 comics, all $20 or less. Haven't bought one in about a year. I still watch this channel though! Fun adventures, positivity, and knowledge about the hobby/market. Great long length video right here.

I apologize Mike. I don't subscribe to very many channels. I have watched your videos now since you started and enjoyed them all. The speech that you gave at the end of this video resonated with me so much I had to pull the trigger and subscribe. Should have done it long ago. Enjoyed the haul. Great books.

The first Swamp Thing series for $600 would be a definite purchase for me. True, it's a crappy Hulk #180 but if you treat it as a souvenir of the convention then that adds a lot of personal value to the comic, it's something to keep even if you get a better copy.

Much Love my Friend ❤ 😊
I apologize Mike. I don't subscribe to very many channels. I have watched your videos now since you started and enjoyed them all. The speech that you gave at the end of this video resonated with me so much I had to pull the trigger and subscribe. Should have done it long ago. Enjoyed the haul. Great books.
@@detective29 thank you so much! I’m very happy that resonated with you, I meant every word.
That silver whistle guy has a Tree shirt on! Idk how I found out about tree but they are awesome!
Well done 👏 👊
What an amazing weekend!! Great finds, especially the ASM 238, but i agree that the menu is the best thing you got!. Nothing beats the friendships we make and the experiences with those friends. That and your last thoughts brought a tear to my eye.
Great video. Sorry to hear how tired you were. What a great story to share for years to come saying you had breakfast with Walt.
You lucked out, dude. Great story with Mr. Cox.
Wonderful. I'll definitely be spending all three days there next year!

that's what I love to see... $1 new release books and a Terry Dodson cover right out front!!! I'd ah been there all day long.
I personally would’ve copied the original menu and given the copies to everyone involved so they could have a memento of y’all’s special time together. Great video, thank you so much for bearing your true feelings and letting everyone know why we collect and why we are passionate about our hobby. Keep doing what you’re doing because you are making a difference!
That was beautiful Mike. Love you man!
@@JoshuaCunningham-e1w back at you brother
Great video my friend, I’m from Spain currently living in Indiana, and I just recently going into the hobby, you tech me a lot with the content, thanks a lot for sharing your experience with us!!!
Continue on your amazing work please thanks for sharing.
Great video and awesome interaction !!!
This was such an awesome vid.
The first Swamp Thing series for $600 would be a definite purchase for me.
True, it's a crappy Hulk #180 but if you treat it as a souvenir of the convention then that adds a lot of personal value to the comic, it's something to keep even if you get a better copy.
Man I have to hit the show next year. Thank you for sharing
@@jerrythejitterbugcomicbook4098 I hope you do, would love to meet up!
