I just ordered an alternator repair kit for my 2006 Sonata. It was just less than 42 dollars delivered. I have not rebuilt an alternator in over 30 years, but as I recall it took about an hour. Just clocking everything to insure everything fits back was those most difficult, and that is just something that you learn to do as you are dismantling the alternator.

What year Sonata is that? And is it a 2.0 Sport? Are the alternators the same on the 2.0 as the 2.4?
That layout isn't like my 2015. The manifold doesnt look like that neither
