Did this for my first time ever today. Man, I struggled. The alternator was ceased stuck, had to pry it out. The serpentine belt was the biggest pain doing it by myself. I got frustrated with it, it all came off and I just couldn’t get it right. But with persistence, I was able to get it done 100% and 100% correctly.
@@JoseRivera-uj8km I pried it from above. It took quite a bit of effort though. Working by myself I had a harder time trying to put the belt on and mess with the tensioner at the same time. Somehow I got it done
Coming from a mechanic, this is how I would've tackled a job like this ina shop🤙 great clear and detailed instructions, that goes a long way bro. You gotta have patience in this industry or you'll go crazy lol dope vid

Hi Aiman, I watched your videos about "burping" the coolant system on a 2004-2009 Prius and after following your "manually filling" video, I'm trying to jump my pump and I have set my multimeter properly and I removed the correct relay, however, I don't hear the pump engage at all. Is my pump dead, must the vehicle be in "inspection mode," or am I doing something wrong? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Have a 2011 sonata, everything was going to plan except the bottom alternator bolt I can only loosen so far till it hits the frame I see that the bolt just sits in that u-channel how would I pry it out like I was able to loosen the top part of the alternator? Thank you.
@@mronemanband1 I got it fixed because the lower bolt just sits in a U channel. I tighten the top bolt back in through a wrench and rocked the wrench side to side and it came out
Wrong I have a 2010 and either u skipped stepson it's different .I have another large spindle just above the alternator where u don't have one .u have so much more space to work with then I do .onto another video to figure out all the extra stuff I have to remove and how to do it
Everything always looks so much easier on video when other people are doing the work, but the minute you actually start it yoi skin your knuckles and drop the tools in the engine comparent

do you know if the aftermarkey tyc fits good i tried a Duralast aftermarket it was an incorrect fit.

this is one of the more hard alternators to change, you did good, looks like it only took you 8 hours, la la la la la la

then you undo upper motor mount and raise or lower motor !
