Joe Walsh was in The James Gang they were opening up for The Who when they premiered Tommy in Europe, and Keith Moon decided that he liked me and that we should stay up for the entire tour. He taught me the basics of hotel damage, blowing stuff up and anarchic chaos in general. He was my mentor. And of course I embellished it later with things like chainsaws
I think Joe is one of the top twenty guitar players of all time. He’s definitely worth putting on a miners cap and going deep down his rabbit hole. He was in a few “great” bands, check out the song “ Funk 49 “ with the James gang. A true classic.
Biz... I just saw the Eagles Friday night in Austin and Joe Walsh just KILLED this one. They filmed their two-night visit to Austin and it should be released to video someday. AMAZING SHIT!
🎸💯 Joe Walsh is a badass artist‼🔥 This dude made The Eagles EVEN better‼ I'm a longtime fan of this wild man & I think you need to take a deep dive into his artistry. You could start with The James Gang for some earlier "stuff"!? Also, "Rocky Mountain Way" & "Life in the Fast Lane" are a couple of my faves & I believe you'll dig them too. ☮🤘❤
Very glad you played the longer version. Someone had chopped the last verse and a lot of people use that. Longer versions are always the best. Good job. You sound up tonight.
Joe Walsh is a funny character, he did Life's been Good the talking version, it is a must see. The song has a long and storied history and it will make you laugh, til your cheeks hurt. When Joe talks, he sounds like he is drunk, but he's not, anymore.
My first time at middle school, and the P.E. teacher made us all sit on the gym floor, close our eyes, and listen to this song on a killer stereo system 😂
You most def need to do more Joe Walsh. Was a guitar god on his own then joined the Eagles, you need to check out Rocky Mountain Way, Turn to Stone, The Bomber, Funk 49, Walk Away, All Night Long, I.L.B.T.'s, All Night Laundry Mat Blues, Ordinary Average Guy, A Life of Illusion and so many more.
👏👏👏 So good to see you Biz!!🙃 THIS A CLASSIC!! So slinky and yet, really clever theme and lyrics!! Some life lessons to be learned in this one for sure, from someone who's been there! Most importantly imo is.... money and fame are WAY overrated!! Most who have them don't even enjoy it. They're still out there searching for the true wealth which is.... inner peace and self-love (in my humble opinion😊). Until you have that.... all the money in the world won't bring you happiness and neither will fame. Just my thoughts for whatever it's worth! lol!!🤷♀️😅 It's truly good to see you!! We've missed your smiling face and riveting commentary!!😁 Peace & light and.... you rock Biz!!👊💯❤
I think you're spot on in the end when you talk about how being rich changes other people more often than the person with the money. Like you said.......expectations.
Brother, another great reaction to a great classic rock tune. Joe is such a cool character, still to this day at 74. The song is referencing when Joe's band back in '69 James Gang opened up for The Who, and Joe and Keith Moon infamously got really wasted, as always, and tore up hotel rooms. It's historic. BTW, I dig your chain, but the pendant was shining into the camera, I thought I was going to have a damn seizure!😎✌️🤘
Good point. I'm actually super susceptible to this kind of thing where it triggers nasty vestibular episodes but I wasn't getting any flashes from the pendant. Actually I didn't even see the pendant 👀 settings? anyways
You're right about the rich and poor. The rich dress like they have no money, while the poor go into hock buying clothes outside their budget. I know guy who bought a Jaguar, but lived in an apartment with six other people so he could afford it. Meanwhile, the wealthy don't try to flash, for they know someone gonna take their cash.
My fave of Joe's is One Day at a Timw...........I watched it LIVE when the Eagles were playing Sydney, Australia ............he finally overcame his alcoholism ...it's a great tune.
I saw Joe open for Foreigner and then come out n play with Foreigner for the oncor. Great concert Joe on his own or with the James Gang worth looking into. Rocky mountain way is a jam and there many more. 👍 Thanks for the memories.
Joe Walsh was in the James Gang he was an Eagle a solo career and also acted in the Drew Carry Show and is now on the Connors so yeah Life's Been Good for him
Biz, Joe Walsh is one of the lead guitarists and singers with The Eagles! He also had a fine solo career prior to The Eagles. He's known to use the talk box, so I'm guessing that's what that sound is. Joe is a legend. Him and Keith Moon, drummer of The Who, caused $27k damage to their motel room years ago LoL. More bangers, Rocky Mountain Way Here the talk box is very prominent
Without even looking at the comments 😮 Joe Walsh is a Guitar GOD and member of the Eagles! Some of his better solo songs, Let me start with MY Fav "I.L.B.Ts." 😉🔥, "Funk 49" ,"Rocky mountain way", "All night long" ,"in the City" many other hits with the Eagles ! 🤘😈 Could I put in a Request ? Ace Frehley from KISS, "Shock Me" 1977 LIVE! 😈🤘
Is Joe Walsh's catalog worth checking out? How much time have you got? It's large and worthy of at least some of your time. You can choose between his work with The James Gang, or maybe his work with the Eagles, or his own stuff, like this song here. It's all good, and it started in the late 1960's and goes until now, he's still playing out, so go to it. He's also worked on many other side projects over fifty years, so there's a lot of material around. Seen him live twice, a great performer, with a wry sense of humor.
Joe is a rock LEGEND!!!! You heard soft... try some hard. The Confesser...Rocky mountain way...Or something from the Eagles...or the James gang... Joe's just this guy...
dive in and do the backstroke with this dude. Joe is a one in a million musician! whether it's solo, the james gang, or with the eagles he is one of the greatest ever..... as has been said before he is an interesting bunch of guys!!! lol
I never see my favorite track from _Fast Times At Ridgemont High_ but if you can find _Waffle Stomp_ I think it would be a treat for all the fans in here to hear in case they never heard it or just forgot about it. _Fast Times At Ridgemont High_ is a really good soundtrack too. I used to play the hell outta that album. Billy Squire, Tom Petty? Jackson Browne, Joe Walsh...oh & uh of course _Moving In Stereo_ ! I don't know if they're on the album, but _Kashmir_ & _Surrender_ Cheap Trick, maybe? And I don't remember what was playing when Spicole & totalled his buddy's big bros Trans Am or whatever. It may have even been _Life In The Fast Lane_ but Idk cuz I saw the movie 40 years ago! Anyway, great reactions. Thanks for doing _Funk 49_ & _Surrender_ & _Band On The Run_ recently.
I've been drunk one time in my life, but it lasted for 20 years 🤣🤣🤣 That's what he said in an interview. Crazy good guitar player, in fact, Pete Townshend is a huge fan of Joe. Thanks man, great reaction. 👊👍❤ from the Netherlands
Bro bro this reminds me, this guy, Joe Walsh was also in a band called James Gang. You could check out they’re song Walk Away. Trust me my friend you’ll luv it.
Not true about most people with wealth after they acquire the houses and cars most invest and save. The saying goes if you were bad with money when you didn't have alot you'll be bad with money when you get it,that's why many lottery winners go broke and file for bankruptcy and And very high number of athletes file bankruptcy within 5 years of leaving pro sports.
"Funk #49" and "Walk Away" Rocky Mountain Way
Yes to all of these! Funk #49, my favorite.
Yes, yes and yes!
“The Confessor”, “In The City” “Rocky Mountain Way” “A Life of Illusion” and all he added to The Eagles. Joe is good fun.
The confessor - such a good song
He was once with the Eagles and yes it is worth diving into
Absolutely worth it I agree
Yes, he's worth it!
Joe Walsh was in The James Gang they were opening up for The Who when they premiered Tommy in Europe, and Keith Moon decided that he liked me and that we should stay up for the entire tour. I was the number one spotlight operator at a Joe Walsh show, in 1985. Carowinds Palladium. Great show. Legend.

Good job. You sound up tonight.
not even bragging, just stating the facts, joe knew how to have a good time
James Gang and Eagles are just 2 of the bands he's been with and BOTH worth a longer look!
A living legend. One of the greatest guitarists of all time. 🎸💥
Joe's a legend! Been on the scene since the 60's.
I love the lyrics to this one, lol.
☮️🤘🤙
I’ve seen the Eagles (he joined them in the 70s, Hotel California era) and is still with them. He’s awesome.

In a live version, instead of saying ...'I ride in the back..." He says "I ride in the TRUNK in case I get DRUNK" 😂

Saw him open for Stevie Nicks in Norfolk '83,great show and showman!
Thanks for doing this song!! Greatly appreciated!

@@J_Gamble yeah me too, and I'm autistic, so I'm super sensitive.
Awesome song and reaction. Great stuff.

He still sounds good. Saw him recently on Live From Darryl's House.
He's singing about rock life styles back in the day. Heavy work and heavy partying
Biz, Joe Walsh is one of the lead guitarists and singers with The Eagles! He also had a fine solo career prior to The Eagles.

Joe was with the groups "Eagles" and "James Gang". You should check out the James Gang song "Funk #49", it will blow you away.
This was sampled in eminems “So Far” on the Marshall mathers LP 2. Fire song.

Love your reaction, love the breakdown! Keep it up bra!!
This was a gangsta rap before there was gangsta rap.
Bro bro this reminds me, this guy, Joe Walsh was also in a band called James Gang. You could check out they’re song Walk Away. Trust me my friend you’ll luv it.
Great pick. And good to see you :)
Heck yeah!
Dude you're insane you're awesome keep it going brother

You need to stay with the song for another 10 seconds to get "the bunch of waa waas" 😂
I would love to make it rain...lol
to me took it as his poling fun at the rock lifestyle of fame and fortune. like he doesn't take it that seriously
