It depends. If it's non commercial (not making money from it work) then the 16GB M1 Pro is PLENTY. Wayyy more than enough. That said you do like to game on your Mac (although this can't run windows) so there would be benefits to M1 Max with the graphics cores...

Decided to go with a gaming laptop it has a i7 11th gen 8 core cpu and Rtx 3070 with 16gb ram what is upgrading to 64gb soon.
