I went from getting free refined metals every 5 hours on a community server for afking to a copy of minecraft, and a spare of 40keys trading in 4 months. Now I've sold it all for a bunch of games on steam
what are afking community servers?
there was a server that paid you in credits for like every 10 minutes you're in it, and there was one redeemable prize of refined metals and i would just leave my account on overnight to gather the credits @@jaimegalan860

@@Krypackyeah at that point is better to just trade the keys for unusual and trade up slowly, unless it gets to the glitch part
After many many painful months of nothing, i finally got lucky and made profit, someone offered a cheap, new, low tier unusual that was being sold for 14keys at the time for my 13key strange, thank god i waited for a while, as the price of that unusual unexpectedly went up within the next 5weeks, and i then sold it for 30keys, even though that was extremely luck based with nothing else involved, it is probably the happiest i've ever been, and that gave me a massive confidence boost to keep going with this.
I started trading in the late 2019 and made around 20-25 keys in the first 6 months. I ended up having 80+ keys by the end of 2020 and then I cashed out and I kinda regret it because if I just held it I would have more by now than the amount I cashed out
Btw I recently started again and went from 8 to 33 refs in a couple of days. I would say it became harder to trade because old methods that I used work worse than they used to
PS I literally started off with just 1 ref when I got into trading

I used to be like that, until i realized trading tf2 was a massive waste of time, you can get more keys from working a minimum wage job then buying keys with the money 😂😂😂
I had 5 ref at the time and manage to get up to 12 keys in 2 months and boy it takes a lot of time. now i use steam marketplace and stood around 60$ now selling tf2 items
Damn i started with 20 ref and now i have 12(i ended up finding a funny hat that i ended up buying)
In the las year i started with 5 refs and went to 30~40 keys in 4~5 months

I started a 1 ref to unusual hat challenge last week and i am at 1 key 50 ref its very hard tho sometimes you get stuck on some items sometimes you take L s but sometimes you get W s
Yeah I think in this stage of trading it’s knowing what items to buy that have high sellability

Hey man, i was a big tf2 player back in the day but eventually stopped playing. Now im left with alot of valuable tf2 items, and a empty wallet. Is there any way to just smoothly and reliably sell your items for actual cash?
I believe either steam marketplace or marketplace.tf are good bets

I trade 1 ref and now i have 26.33 refs, and in parallel that i was trading i buy 7 keys, i have 7 keys and 26.33 refs, Well i dont know how to continue im kinda stuck :^(
Keep tryna buy things from people in bulk for a discount, the more pure you have the bigger profits you can make

Create listings on backpack.tf and advertise them on trading servers
One tip for make trade easiers ALWAYS HAVE CHANGE if you have 100 refs try to transform 20 refs into scraps this way you save headaches with trades of items with .number
There was some guy who realllyyy wanted to trade for my hong kong cone or what ever its called. He traded my hong kong cone for a strange tundra cap so obviously I accepted since the strange tundra cap is worth more. But, after a few days, the hong kong cones price sky rocketed bro. When I checked it still wasnt higher than the strange tundra cap, so maybe I didnt lose completely, but still, how the fuck did the guy know the price for hong kong cones would rise? Insider information? Wack man.
Maybe smth to do with backpack.tf vote going through for their prices to rise? perhaps smth else im not sure

Keep trading low tier items until you build up to around 15-20 keys

Trade it down to cosmetics or stranges but I would say it’s better to start off trading with more then that nowadays

It’s always possible but it would not be a great business move from valve

@@-vv-7805 most likely not, it’s more profitable for valve to keep it
a lot of trading in csgo actually happens in tf2 (because of the trade hold). so unless valve wants to completely fuck both economies for some reason no. Its also the same reason tf2 will never completely die before csgo.
