- Even though the Nikon D80 has three auto-focus options, Single-Area gives you the most control, as outlined in this WebTip from the Magic Lantern DVD Guide for the Nikon D80
Finally! RUclips recommends a video that’s actually useful.

Liveview is when the image your are taking shows up on the LCD screen, while you're taking it.
Cameras without it you use the viewfinder.
Thanks nice vid easy to learn for newbee like me
just use the centre crosstype point , and then focus it on the subject, after that, half hold the shutter and do ur composition:/ 11af pt is only for sports

Need help!
My D80 used to be set in a way that allowed me to take a light reading in a darker area of the room and go back to the spot where I wanted to take my photograph. For example if I wanted to photograph one spot in my room and there was not enough light there I would point the camera to an even darker area of the room and press the button down halfway to get the light reading and then point the camera back to the original spot I wanted to photograph, tricking the camera into thinking that it's actually taking a photo of the darker area.
Does anyone know how to set that up on the D80? That was my setting but somehow I lost that and now I don't know how to set that up again on my camera.
Thanks!
+stu wilks You might have already found the solution by now, but in principle the shutter button is not the right one for this task. On the D80 you will find the AE-L/AF-L button, to the right of the viewfinder. This locks the settings as long as you hold it.
eisma002 I will try it, thanks so much my friend! :-)
i just brought one of these ..
hello from 2017
There's F3.3?
Depends on the lens. D80s were sold as body only, or with a kit lens. People who already had a nice lens from an earlier SLR or DSRL coule just buy the D80 body, to use with their lenses. The lower prices lenses often have a max F stop of 3.5, but more expensive lenses are faster (F 2.8 for example).
Fskcing selector lock. Anyway, thanks.

Yeah..It's a dslr
I knew nothing about this
