Why did Jesus Flip Tables?

The story of Jesus flipping the tables at the temple is definitely on of the stranger stories in scripture.
But why did this happen? What caused Jesus to be so angry? And why did he feel the need to flip tables?
We need to understand as Christians that this holy anger displayed by Jesus was just the beginning of the spiritual cleansing he was about to bring about.

Jesus did not walk into a temple to tell them they were abusing the building, but their own temple where the Fathers to dwell within themselves, the ❤ of the temple. God cannot dwell in temples if man keeps destroying it.
