Probably replace, with data transfer from one clone to the next. The fun question is if Dr Briefs is able to edit the data going from one clone to the next, to ensure his wife stays loyal, or just because he can. "Hmm, that idea didn't work, revert to prior generation in the next one"

@@liviekumori Tough to say, the best feat of power we've had from the official series is being able to stop Goten and Trunks, both Super Saiyan, but still children with poor martial arts experience.
He should definitely be able to put up a much better fight than people thought at the time, especially given that he's a bit of a mischievous and efficient 'fighter.'
Plus, if we look a future example, the attendants of the gods do seem to generally be more powerful than the god they are tending to. At least if we ignore Kibito 😅

"The Room of Spirit and Time" is the literal translation of the Japanese name for the room. As part of the dub renaming just about everything in the show, they renamed it to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for the American release. It appeared in the original Dragon Ball series as mentioned with Goku knowing about it as a kid.
Well in the context of how it's used in DBZ, the name Hyperbolic Time Chamber makes more sense.
I genuinely think Goku didn’t know his strength when he threw Chichi up like that. Saiyans get stronger every time they almost die, and that heart virus he just recovered from was *kicking his ass*.
I actually do wonder if the heart virus would count, since I imagine the logic is that their warrior nature causes their body to adapt following failure so that they don't fail again. Which may not be applicable to a disease, since the near-death experience wasn't caused by the body suffering the consequences of lacking strength.

Can we talk about her spot on Chi Chi voice? Like, she said "Goku!" and then Chi Chi said "Goku!" and I could barely tell the difference.
So if she's Asuna in SAO Abridged, would she be Chichi in DBZ Abridged?
Things to note about the Hyperbolic Time Chamber:
- The temperature is unpredictable: It can get so hot that the whole ground catches on fire. It can get so cold giant glaciers will start to form and you may be potentially frozen in place.
- The isolation can potentially drive you insane.
- It’s hard to breathe in there.
- You can easily get lost in the void if you travel too far.
The gravity is 10x that of Earth’s.
- Goku when he was 15, who was the strongest in OG dragon ball, went in there once but couldn’t even last a month in there.
These were the reasons why Popo refrained from letting anyone else go in the chamber.
Gotta love how Goku's first instinct after waking up was to nuke the ocean.

The Hyperbolic Time Chamber doesn't quite lower your lifespan, but since time runs faster in there than out here from an outside perspective it looks like it does. The harsh environment also takes a toll on the body, which might also have an effect.
the mafuba is a technique the master Roshi use in the original DB , he use a pot to store someone or something , it's a very dangerous technique that could led to ones death or getting suck in the same pot .
It mostly just requires a ton of energy to use, since the more powerful the being, the more energy it uses to trap them, and if you don't have enough, it'll still work but you die.
Though if you're close in strength to person you're attempting to trap, it just leaves you weakened and drained till you get some time to recover. And trapping someone weaker than you still requires a good chunk of strength depending on the difference but isn't nearly as big a problem.
Roshi, Tien, Kami, and Piccolo all know how to do it (with Piccolo also designing a counter-technique that reverses it on the person using it as his previous incarnation was trapped by it before).
(it also bares some resemblance to the hand-movements done with the Kamehameha, causing King Piccolo to nearly shit himself in terror after seeing Goku use the Kamehameha for the first time as he mistook it for the Mafuba).

From the perspective of the person using it, no, the Hyperbolic Time Chamber doesn't shorten your lifespan. However for the people outside of it you aged a year in a day. Granted if you are an adult it can be harder to tell.
I did read another manga where the evil vampire they knew had her own time chamber where 24 hours would pass inside of it while one hour passes in the outside world. That one was a lot nicer, set up like a resort, but she still used it for training when she had someone to teach. The girls wanted to use it for studying, but the vampire pointed out they would age.
Yeah, Eva was a bit nice like that. But considering she made the resort for herself it does make sense.
@@Hirenlight01 Eva hadn't really used the resort since she was captured, as it effectively extends her sentence. It wasn't until she started training Negi that she dusted it off. Still she had been using it at some point before then. Given that she doesn't age it wouldn't present her with that problem like it would the human girls.
Krillin already loved 18 so much that even without the promise that there would be sex she was a 9 for him. She was that perfect to him.

In the original DragonBall goku has a reputation for eating an ungodly amount of food. As in forcing restaurants to close early for the day whenever he is taken out to eat. That's why he says "...you eat that horse!"

So the hyperbolic time chamber is physically and mentally dangerous. Spending over a year in that white void of a room can do serious damage to your mental state. On top of that, it is 10 times earths gravity with low air pressure because of no natural wind. The further you go from the door, the lower the air pressure gets. That is why it wasn't really used until this point. Even if Popo put the Z-warriors in there to train for the saiyans, they would have probably died. I think at this point Popo is feeling down and nostalgic since Kami is gone.

11:55 Not in the sense that it actually directly drains your life energy, but there are several limitations and restrictions on the room. Mainly the people inside will still age the amount of time they were inside (Gohan is still legally 10 when he and Gokū get out, but physically he is a year older). Also, there is a 2-year (so 2 real days) lifetime limit with the room on the lookout, and if a person exceeds that amount, they'll be stuck in the room forever.

Technically speaking, the time chamber doesn't take time off your life. You just live out one full year in accelerated time, in the span of 24 hours. You exit one year older, but didn't lose any time off your life cycle.

The Chamber does technically make whoever uses it live shorter relative to those outside it because they burn through time in there meaning that using it for a day outside technically shaves a year off their life which is part of the reason why only Saiyans, Half-saiyans and Namekians use it more than once since aging affects them differently than humans (Saiyans maintain their peak until their 80s then decline quickly.) However they still are living their full life from their perspective, its all relative. That being said, Goku did say that the Chamber was monstrously unpleasant so the fact they lasted a full year here, and he and Vegeta later did 3 years together in there, is rather impressive.
Fun fact, when Goku said his ninja dream ended, that's a reference to how the Naruto manga had recently ended when this episode came out.
TFS has gone on record to say that Dr. Briefs is literally the most evil character in their version.
But what has he done? I mean we know what Super Kami Guru is the evil half, he enabled every bad thing that happened. Dr Briefs might be a bad person, but he isn't evil until he turns out to be the guy who helped make the Androids in his spare time...which would be a hilarious twist.

Canon Chichi is probably the second strongest woman in the world at this point, only behind 18.
But Abridged Chichi can survive burning up in the atmosphere and i think that puts her over the top, at least as far as durability.

Chichi is quite literally the strongest non-chi using person in the entire series. She is freakishly strong with just her natural muscles.

@@SimsinWonderland No offense to Videl, but she's pretty much the bottom of the barrel, when it comes to chi-users. I wouldn't be surprised if even non-chi Chichi could wipe the floor with chi-using Videl. After all Chichi is an experienced martial artist, while Videl primarily beat up hooligans and punks, with the occasional low-level criminal in the mix.
Oh, forgot, one thing.
Remember on an earlier episode where Bulma asked why her mom doesn't seem to age and she answered it was "Because your father won't let me". Kind of insinuating that he goes through clones, discards them and takes a new clone out of the batch, which again insinuates that her original mother is most likely dead as well.

Yes he had a dream as both but only saying the Ninja dream ended and not both was a reference to his role in Naruto abridge as it ended, Mosoko (voice of Goku) litterally explained in one of his own videos right after this first aired that that was a call back to his role as Sasuke

How the heck did chichi manage to burn up after exiting the atmosphere?
Honestly, I've always disagreed with the way TFS criticized the Z Warriors for not using the Hyperbolic Time Chamber before, for a couple reasons. One: it doesn't make you stronger than normal training does, it just reduces the amount of real world time it takes to make you stronger so that you can reach that point in a significantly shorter time. So a day of training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber won't make you stronger than a year out in the real world so long as you're doing the same training. Two: the Z Warriors never needed it for the training for the Saiyans or the training for the Androids. For the Saiyans, they thought they had a full year to train before the Saiyans showed up, only the Saiyans showed up early, and they had no way to know that near full year they did train wouldn't be enough. If they had used the Chamber, they probably would've used it for the first day of their training, then stopped afterwards and just wait for the Saiyans because they would've likely believed that they'd come far enough. As for the Androids, they had even more time IRL to train, in fact it was three years, and those three years would have been enough if they hadn't screwed up and let Gero get away, and if Goku had taken his medicine. Androids 19 was completely helpless against Goku before he collapsed with his illness, and both Vegeta and Piccolo proved they were more than capable of stopping Android 20/Dr Gero. If they had kept him from getting away, the Android Saga would've ends with Piccolo or Vegeta killing that old bastard.
