    So officially they're claiming up to 14 hours, and you're getting 8 hours on BATTERY SAVING MODE, and your verdict is IT'S PRETTY DECENT? Please make that make sense to me.

    • @klgadgettv
      @klgadgettv  2 месяца назад +2

      You can never trust manufacturer's claim as they either use synthetic benchmarks or just do video playback to get that number. For our tests, we don't just sit there using 8 hours straight but rather we measure it by sessions in a day, hence getting a total of 8 hours on actual real world productivity usage.

    • @christosbinos8467

      @@klgadgettv So does it even last 8 hours straight?

    • @NicholasWongCQ
      @NicholasWongCQ 28 дней назад

      @@klgadgettv Sorry, I've owned more than a few laptops over the years, and I've never come across one with a real world battery life that's half the advertised length. Not even close. You can't BS your way out of this one.
      BTW, I just googled and found that their own website says "up to 9 hours".

      @balthasarking8570 4 месяца назад

      @devtuber6507 the battery life is okay, if you use it lightly you can get 8-9 hours, but you can also drain it in 2 with heavy use, definitely not one of the strong sides of the laptop, otherwise it's great, oled screen with 120hz looks awesome, a lot of performance for the size and price, overall I'd say you won't be disappointed unless you really need great battery life

    Asus vivobook S16 has a serius problem of getting hang with external usb ssd.
    I plug the same ext ssd in 2 other different laptops running latest Windows 11, no issue. Even run chkdsk on the ext ssd shows no issue. Even updating the Asus bios did nothing to prevent the ssd from getting hung after 1-2 mins of plugging in.

    Will you be reviewing the new AMD Ai 370 variant. It will have 32GB ram and obviously the new AMD strix point chip which is also in the zenbook S 16. I'd rather get the vivobook as it'll probably significantly cheaper and you get the same chip I imagine at a similar wattage, maybe even better as it isn't as thin as the 1.1cm zenbook.

      You were probably running 86x based softwares. They are not equipped for Snapdragon chips.
      But if you run ARM based softwares you will get wayy more efficient and smoother experience with Snapdragon powered computers.

    • @tomijojo
      @tomijojo 21 день назад

      why

    • @kewage
      @kewage 21 день назад +1

      @tomijojo out of the box problems. I am not promoting Dell but the xps was my laptop before this and before I spilt my drink on it! Anyways, out of the box Asus needed trouble shooting with keyboard, touch pad and power controls. Unless you knew what you were doing I would've just smashed it. The keyboard lags after the laptop sleeps, or touch pad response lags, and power set up needs carefully sorting to actually achieve 8h balanced battery. Needed setting up keyboard drivers. The exact issues were on both the laptops I purchased. So can't blame it on having a manufacturer fault really. Thats why.
