I got the 14x from your recommendation last year. Definitely one of my favorite computers I've ever bought at by far the best price. I love it way more than my alienware R15 that cost three times as much
ASUS offer seemingly good bang for your bucks but the term “you get what you pay for” is applicable here as they are at the lower end of mid-range in quality and ability. They will appeal to people chasing RAM and SSD numbers, but in the end you would be better off in the long run to buy better mid-range or premium at an extra cost, if you can. For example, I got a refurb MB Air M2 15-inch base model for £700 ($600) that only had a six battery count.
Given the reports of their shoddy customer service, it would feel like buying any made by ASUS is buying something with zero support and is therefore a complete gamble.
@@RidwanGosal I recently had an issue with my proart laptop, and they nicely made me understand that they would make it impossible for me to repair my laptop without losing all my data and buying back the original parts. Liquid metal was also poorly applied so I had to change it myself and and when i opened it, half of the die was not covered and there was spilled liquid metal everywhere. It litteraly made me scream in protest. Glad they are finally getting the reputation they deserve.
The bigger scam is when you pay extra to buy ASUS' extended warranty/accidental damage protection. I had issues with my ZenBook from 2 years ago and was asked to contact customer service, submit a ticket, and it took almost 3 weeks to get an answer back. They basically said I'd have to pay for shipping myself to send the laptop to their USA service depot ('m Canadian) for them to inspect and potentially repair which would take another 4-6 weeks. Worst of all, they came back to me and said since this model is not sold anymore, I'd have to pay for the replacement part at a reduced cost. Absolute bullshit

Honestly I’d much rather have an m1 MacBook Air for $699 brand new from Walmart than buy this for the same price (or more). The MBA has a higher res screen, far superior trackpad (not even close), far better speakers, is silent under use, cooler to the touch, doesn’t pick up fingerprints nearly as easily, and has a better build.
This is a good alternative. I agree. The thing in favor of this laptop though is the cpu is far more powerful and you get alot more memory and storage. The MBA is 8g and 256. For many that is just not acceptable
@@JustJoshTech Yes that is true. Apple is just too stingy with their RAM/SSD right now and it's really sad. However for light use and office tasks, I doubt anyone would notice the difference in performance to be honest and that's what these laptops are made for. I do know some people who never close any apps at all on macOS and I can see those people struggling a bit more though but thankfully macOS is pretty efficient with memory usage. One thing that drives me nuts about Windows laptops and I'm not sure if that is the case here or not - they drain battery while sleeping. The Macbook Air M1, and other Apple Silicon laptops, do not do that. It also wakes instantly from sleep and that combined with the zero battery drain just makes it so easy to pick back up where you left off.

Bought zenbook 14 AMD few months ago. Creaky hinge, poor gpu performance. Display is hard to open, feels like it will snap one day. Windows 11 is bloated and glichy...
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYING THIS LAPTOP . Honestly, I'm not having that great of an experience. I think I bought this laptop a couple of months back this year in August. And the laptop keeps on lagging a lot, I've to keep on restarting my laptop just bcs of that which is quite frustrating. When I use the pencil, it will first lag, making the app no longer work. So, I'd have no option but to restart it. If only this laptop didn't have an issue of lagging a lot then it would have been a very nice and useful laptop for everyone.

I can wait a month. 😊
And the review of the ThinkPad T14s gen 4 ?
PSA: $900 isn't cheap... sorry tech heads
Like, if you want linux compatibily section in the review.

Boycott Asus, repairs and warranty scams will cost 4 times that plus the headache

It’s very warm when I’m touch it and very bad webcam 😢 but I’m bought it. 😢
RGB is fucking bad.
Touchpad is bad too.😂 😢
I’m bought vivobook s16 intel core ultra 7 .
@@cocoyaiba5642 How do you like it so far? I am planning to buy this one also.
16gb ram is an absolute fail. That's why it's so cheap
well now it's out of stock :(
So quick
Can everyone stop with the Asus hate, it's just the RMA, the products are good. (I'm not an asus fan, I just find this drama funny)
Why should they stop then? 😃
It's not funny. You shouldn't have to deal with shady tactics from a major computer OEM.
It’s not hate, it demanding company does better for its customers and that we get better quality control products and services.
Mac air M1 better buy
No ASUS. Never
Gloasy but no touch!
Argh!

Vivobook s14 is a SCAM! Go for S16. For 14 inch size, go for zenbooks.
Yoooooo
Core Ultra is trash. The AMD versions of this are better.
