I can relate. I had my glow up at 17 years old and it was the best time of my life that I actually felt beautiful. My ugly duckling phases from 13-16 were the worst times of my life. Boys called me “ugly” and I had some family members make fun of me too. Looking at my photos before my glow up makes me cringe because I did not feel so beautiful at all. I really appreciate this video. Much love 💕
Girl same!! It was tough but at the end you’re a blessed, happy, and strong baddie... and it sucks cause bullying will really humble the heck out of us but in the end I guess sadly we can say it worked? 😭 I hate the way the world works
Same sis I was ugly.. people never wanted me.. they called me ugly and said I wasn’t all that.. even my own dad made me felt bad he use to show my sister more love than me.. she’s lighter than me and I’m brown skin.. my dad use to dog me.. now I’m looking better than ever! Thank God
@@jasmineranae1132 definitely babe! I feel like I glo’d up even more since I was 17... once I went to college it was a gradual change in my face shape, body, etc... patience is key 🔐 and of course if you want to enhance your beauty that makes it even better 😊 hope this helps
@@jasmineranae1132 LOL girl I was the “ugly duckling” all the way up to 19! I had glowed down again around 20 because hashtag depression so I let myself go but I’m 23 now and getting things back together so it’s definitely possible to reinvent yourself 🙏🏾💖✨
I want to be confident, I want to be smarter, I want to be beautiful. I don’t think I could be pretty when I keep picking out things I hate about myself.
For every negative thing you pick out, start listing 5 more positives. Then work on only picking out the positives and work on any negatives if you can.
You need to practice positive affirmations daily like this person who commented earlier said for every negative thing you say about yourself double or trip that with positive thoughts either out loud or in a journal 💕 you’re beautiful and you will be confident
omg girl you are so pretty 😍 & so right ! a glo up doesn’t just have to do with your appearance, you have to change your thoughts, stay on top of your thoughts make sure you cancel out those negative thoughts when they sneak up on you, and build faith in order to manifest the glo up you dream of having ☺️.
The funniest thing to me is the guys who didn’t want me then want me now but I’m good luv enjoy ❤️❤️❤️ I started wearing makeup at 18 and I’m 20 now and started wearing weaves in my twenties. One thing I’ve always been insecure about was my curly hair especially going to a white predominant high school and now I love my curly hair.
Girl i know exactly how you feel minus the all white high school part... that’s why I say they always come back and always pay attention to everything!
I’ve always been pretty and when I was younger I knew it and I was very confident but the older I got boys and the media starting messing up my confidence and the way I see myself as a person. I started putting my validation in others but this year I’m going to work on it.
I glowed up at 23 while I was at a toxic job. Guys always told me I was pretty but people started hating so bad! When I left I found out people were copying me smh.
That's exactly my story. Im 13 and when I younger I was chubby but I swore up and down I was just the shit then as I entered preteen years, the media started to show me that all the things I loved about myself were considered ugly by the world so I started paying close attention to "flaws" that I never really noticed or cared about and It has now like permanently destroyed me, honestly I don't believe that I will ever be my normal self again.
i totally agree with you saying that you have to be confident in yourself to make yourself happy & do things for you and not for anybody else. i’m at a point in my life where i’m finally confident within myself & i love that for myself 🥰.
the big sister i always wished for 😭❤❤❤you literally have no idea how much this helped me...im bout to go to college and i feel like i needed this pep talk/girl talk
I really needed this 🥺 I’m twenty years old and I have never felt as self conscious as I have rn... that is due to me having my face covered in acne scars and I genuinely don’t feel confident without makeup but I also hate wearing makeup. I know feeling confident has more to do with your mentality than your looks but I can’t help but feel ugly when I look at my face that is covered in acne scars 😪
Listen I have the worse hyperpigmentation. Mine is worse than yours 💯. I don’t wear makeup ( b/c I don’t know how to do it). But let me tell you. Our hyperpigmentation isn’t going to last forever 💯. It will eventually fade even if we don’t do anything to try to fade it. Something that help me a little bit is using less products. I plan on getting rid of my hyperpigmentation 100% in 2021. We got this girlaaa 💗.
Yes that makes sense too, around the same age my skin and hair were a disaster (I forgot to go in depth about this) but my first year of college I had really bad acne but I did a lot like switching up my skincare routine and getting on accutane so I get it. You have to feel beautiful before you truly become it 💗 I hope this helps.
U're giving me life, girl, cause being the intelligent baddie is my goal as well! At the moment I'm working on minding my own business, distancing myself from toxic people while forming connections to those who're truly good for me, taking care of myself, learning ms office lol and doing my masters degree in diversity studies (which I'm also studying cause I believe in social justice as one of the most important global goals that we have to work on & I think that this degree will help me to qualify for jobs in which I can help others, as well) - sometimes all of this can be really hard & then i need those days where I just relax, watch motivational youtube videos by fellow queens & adjust my plans- so yeah, love u & thanks for sharing your beauty & wisdoms with us xxx
People glow up without wanting to be pretty ,it’s Gods blessing literally and I’m talking without make up naturally glowing is just growing up to form into a much mature look

Mental confidence is the best! This video was amazing and I could go into detail about my journey to mental stability and confidence but it will be a long paragraph so I won’t. But thanks for this video. It was great!!!
All I could say is I hope I get my glow up soon cause the way I’m heading is No marriage Being single for life I’ve had people call me ugly more than once. And it hurt the most when I heard it from my family.
LOL I’m heading that way too but only bc I feel great being single and not having someone bother me and I still haven’t gotten kissed mind you so that should say a lot 😂 how old are you btw? I’m asking bc I’m 19 and I’ve been waiting for my glow up since I was 16 and it wasn’t until I turned 19 this year that I realized my glow up won’t happen I until 1) I WANT IT to happen as appose to “waiting “ for it to happen and 2) when’s it’s supposed to happen. I feel like a shift occurs in your life at some point and your glow up happens and some are later than others. I already have the feeling that even tho right now I don’t feel the need or the want for it to happen right now, I know and can I feel for sure that I’ll be going through my twenties using it as my glow up stage and I’ll be in my prime during my 30s. Everyone has different stages and when their prime will happen. Life’s just different for everyone. Oh btw forget ya family , some people aren’t meant to be on the ride either anyways. You shouldn’t worry

I want to be confident before it’s too late. I know I’m in my glory years and I want to take advantage. I’m affirmed by others all the time but I need to do it for myself now, and with a quickness LOL
Well, to me happens the exact opposite. I’m like, feeling really sad and ugly all the time and when I’m telling my mom that I want to be pretty with make up etc, she’s saying that I’m too young when in reality, the next year, I’ll be in high school and I’m still feeling way too insecure about myself.📉📉📉

U can start off with mascara 👩❤️💋👩
@@esmesal6006 that’s the problem, because my mom doesn’t want me to wear any make up
I know it’s hard when you’re young but like I said I didn’t start really wearing makeup until I was 18/19 you can rely on your parent’s approval!
@@Paytonbaeton ok Queen. Thanks for the advice💕
Your mom wants you to wait because she probably want what’s best. You’ll thank her later
