    Some time back I used to punch walls to develop hard punches and to get used to pain so that when the time comes I wouldn't feel a lot of pain. I was just angry at the world and some people in it.
    Now I'm glad after seeing this video, to know that it's a part of some martial arts to 'condition' your fists.
    Thanks for the video!

    Yes this is necessary because sometimes you are fight with a very powerful man So this is very useful for this when your hands and fingers are hard then it becomes very useful.
    This is my suggestion then everyone has their own suggestions and it is my request that how can we stretch our legs.
    Thanks.

    Awesome video. The only thing I would add is that what (in my experience) is most important is the bringing of your awareness/ Qi/ Chi/ Ki/ Prana/ Energy to your fist upon impact and leaving that force in the intended target and not letting it bounce back into your hands or wrist, which causes injury. My sensei taught me the following mantra to use when striking: Form it, send it, leave it.

    Well you don't have to condition necessarily but I would because if you get in a fight you have less chance of breaking something if you have well conditioned wrist and hands.

    Pushups on hard tiles or a concrete floor will do just as good, especially for getting the hard calluses on the 3rd and 4th knuckles.

    If you are going to do this type of conditioning, it is best to do so under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Also, always use dit da jow before, during, and after the conditioning session to avoid injury. Be consistent and don’t try to rush the process. There are no shortcuts.

  • @jimicwhite
    @jimicwhite 5 лет назад +2

    This technique is straight forward, but don't be fooled, if you over train to try to get results too fast you can get arthritis and other bone problems, use dit da jow (a kind of Chinese martial arts medicine) and if possible go to a REAL hard qi gong teacher

    I think one way hand conditioning is important is so you don't injusre yourself when throwing a hand strike. Wrist conditioning is also important in that have iron wrists would be helpful in blocking blows from weapons (clubs, bars, staffs, escrima sticks, lead pipes, etc.).

    Hand conditioning is ok, but it's more important to develop your aim and strength at punching. Without them. The hardest hands won't do anything against a skilled figther. Remember "bricks don't hit back"...Bruce Lee...
