@@AndoMierzwa I'm not sure if you know this, but I'm pretty sure he is referring to a famous South Park episode where underpants gnomes were stealing underpants and this was somehow supposed to lead to profit, but they had no plan for how that was supposed to happen. Their business plan was: Phase 1: Collect underpants. Phase 2. ? Phase 3: Profit. This actually became pretty famous in business for people who start a business without a clear plan for how they are going to make a profit- if you search on youtube by "Underpants gnomes" you will find many videos about this. Also, there is actually a Wikipedia page about this named "Gnomes (South Park)"- you never know what's going to catch on in the popular culture. A link to a very short youtube video from this episode is here (ten seconds, but it's the key ten seconds of the episode): ruclips.net/video/tO5sxLapAts/видео.html

Good thing I’ve been practicing on a tire, tree and iron bar with ufc gloves. Tire for strong punches, tree and iron bar for jabs. I’m training my arms to withstand massive shock all around the bones, joints and muscle. So far my arms feel nice and rock solid when tensed. Glad to say I can withhold my stance when pushed in the punch position. This has been very helpful btw, thank you.

I've been doing this since 6 months.
At the earlier stages, l went through immense pain sensations onto my knuckles......my family members used to say me that this kinda!! stuff will break my hand one day.....but i was firm on my hardwork. Gradually, as the time was passing the pain started decreasing as i got the habit of it..... and today it's been totally diminished.
The wall got a 4.5 inch crack with my deadliest punch 3 days ago.....and my family members who used to say me that i am crazy now they are praising me that l've did an extraordinary thing. Really hardwork brings fruitful results.
Now my target is to break the wall into pieces.👊👊

Never in my life had I thought that using a wall can help fix my cross better than finding someone to fix it for me cuz even professionals tend to evolve when in sparring or real fight and eventually might change their punch with different twitch to muscle to hit target at certain angle and lost the muscle memory of the original one.

I've been punching walls (concrete) since I was 10 so I don´t break my wrist in a fight. Sadly, now I live in a house with wooden walls, and I dont want to break them, so now I have to go find a punching bag, or hit the floor, something I don´t recommend.

    • @richardw3404
      @richardw3404 8 лет назад +2

take a old bedsheet (idk if thats what its called) the thing that goes over your bed :D, put clothes in a plastic bag or 2 and wrap the bedsheet around it, make a knot and put a rope through that shit and hang it to a shower curtain pipe thing or a coathanger or something and voila you got a crappy little punchingbag! :D might not be the best but if you dont have any money and dont want to fuck up your knuckles or break anything i reccomend it!

I have been banned from doing this in a gym, I actually hit the (metal) supporting wall similar to yours, wearing MMA gloves. Also hitting the heavy bag and hanging a tennis ball on a string, these three contrast training sessions very well.
Doing what you say, is great, I feel the knockout power in my punches, very intimidating to onlookers that also fight.
When asked "Dosent it hurt your fist" I reply "Have build up doing this over the years"
Hope to be allowed to punch flat knuckles again, as my argument, is that, it is safer to punch flat objects than round one's such as the heavy bag. As the metal post is the width of my shoulders and on the sides is the width of my head.
As the metal post is hollow, it creates a 'dong' sound when struck which sounds good when struck.
Am probably up to 75% full power when striking, as it has risen from the encounters. It makes striking heavy bag easier to hit even harder after hitting metal.
As in real striking with bear knuckles, punching with flat knuckles is good practice as many clip their opponents as this is wear severe knuckle damages occur.
Having that knukle punching alignment really helps towards packing powerful devastating punches.
Highly recommended practicing with this idea, building up intensifying gradually over time, till eventual getting banned from doing it in the boxing club, as it really does make others look...

dude, this is so cool! I've been doing this for years but never knew other people did it too. it works great for alignment of your body during strikes, especially like you said, your wrist and knuckles.
another thing that's helped me is to use the edge of a door. if any part of your body is out of alignment, the door will move left or right, but if your centered with your strike form, the door won't move.
    👍😎👍

@@AndoMierzwa no problem dude, one thing I forgot to mention that you probably already know, is that you can also use the wall technique to help with recovery if you miss a strike.
So what I do is, lean into the strike against the wall and lift my lead foot then quickly pull back my fist.
if I don't quickly shift my weight back I'll fall into the wall.
but if I quickly readjust my stance I'm ready to defend or strike again instead of being off balance from a missed strike.
This, along JKD footwork drills. has helped me to have a quick mobile stance that's adaptive to the situation.

I was punching a wall when i trained.
Really punching with all strength. Gotta punch fast enough to not break fist.
Blood is a non-newtonian fluid, if you punch with right speed you don't feel pain, the blood in your skin thickens and acts as natural armor.
This is how they break bricks, if you find right speed you can punch through concrete no damage to hand.
I broke the gypsum layer wall cover once.

Andre Cooper Are you asking how long you should use the wall? For me, it doesn't take much time to feel what's right and what's not. I use the wall for a quick tune up, then go back to shadowboxing or other drills that incorporate more footwork. Once in a while I'll go four or five minutes just to mix up my workouts, but generally, less is more. Thanks!
