Jake Mace says a lot of smart things in this video! Very impressed! The iron training is not about forming huge calluses, bleeding, damaging your fists. Iron training is about slowly making your bones and skin thicken to a point where if you hit something hard, you barely feel any pain, your bones do not shatter, your skin does not rip or bruise as well as your fists recover from any injury very quickly. That's why you cannot speed up this process. It needs to be done right, slowly and gradually in order to be successful. I am also glad that he remembered to state that damaging the tree is not good.
greg Isaacs A particular breed of snake could drop a full grown Birch 🌳! Now snakes 🐍 and trees 🌲 are not natural enemies, they don’t normally fight! But if the the tree 🌲 were to attack first!.. To all of the people who day this doesn't work. Why then does every martial art do this in one way or another? Jack Dempsey punched trees and chewed leather to strengthen his bones. Hi Jake ! I'm a Full Contact expert, but i don't understand one thing, because someone say a thing but others say instead the opposite thing.. And so is very weird : many people who practice martial arts like you say that this training is useful for reinforce bones.. the fact is that my orthopedic doctor said instead that this not is good, because the impacts of the hits cause damage to the tendons and ligaments.. and in fact, when in past i tried to do this, i felt very much pain to the tendons. Bones do get harder with impact, inside your bones look like tiny pillars and the more impact the bone receives the more pillars form increasing the density of the bone.
Just noticed in the forearm reps... Your non-striking hand is up, tight to the chest, following the movement of the striking arm. I highly recommend you drop this hand down to the stomach region. Striking arm/hand is up. Striking arm/hand is down. This is called a “cover”. Just a good practice, as in combat, you want to cover the undefended upper-body region. When striking an opponent, their natural body mechanics responding to your blow can cause their limbs to rise up towards you, and your “cover” will be ready to defend. Also, there are times when you strike your opponent and they are striking you simultaneously. Your strike will often act as a block, defending the upper part of the upper body, and your “cover” will be ready to defend the lower part of your upper body. When throwing strikes to the face, the cover drops even lower, to the waist region to catch any legs or knees that come up as a result of striking the opponent so high on their body.
Oh haha. People probably gonna think it's a weirdo :D. I will actually try to go and do this though. Unfortunately I don't have a tree at home, so imma go elsewhere... 😂
I find it interesting that you recommend practicing with the knuckles of the ring finger and pinky as well. When I learned martial arts they taught avoid using those knuckles when punching. What are your thoughts on the matter?
So if you are starting out doing this... how long should I rest afterward? Should I punch trees day 1, then sand day 2, then my open palm day 3, then back to trees?
I have been training iron hand from the shoalin temple directly from Master Hondolero via Sifu Li Hung Grandmaster Iron Hand and I appreciate your dedication and the respect that you exhibit in all your videos, I like to use some of your training videos to show iron hand students and to give people a glimpse into the world of bone conditioning, not just iron hand. I would love to see you put out an advanced training video that you could show some of the 3rd phase of training for extremely dedicated students that have over 10 years of training accomplished.
The body is designed for survival, so it sacrifices bone density to protect the kidneys and urinary tract because the latter are essential to survival. And the most readily available source of acid neutralizer is in the bones. So even though milk contains calcium, it ends up sapping your bones of that crucial mineral.
Have you heard of bone marrow? If not, you will most likely learn about it when you hit 7th grade. I hope you sited sources before thoughtlessly making this comment.
I've been training Iron Fist for almost 2 years, legit, I fracture my knuckle bone during the training and then it heals after several weeks, it really changes my fist into iron because during all the training I did, my knuckle's bone slowly gets bigger and my whole arm is slowly getting darker than my bodies skin because all the training I did and I have break a brick, you need to be patient to get the iron fist so do it slowly like I did I'm not punching things HARD instead I training all day hitting a tree with normal punches, I do make my knuckles bleed that point because its not a smooth tree I picked, right now I'm training with smooth things so I'll be fine.
@Hunter Hall add cushioning if it hurts too much. Then remove the cushioning when ready. It worked for me. Just adding in on what you said for others reading.
On my down time at work I use concrete wall for conditioning for my iron fist, it’s flat and I don’t go all in where it’s bloody knuckles but it’s enough where it’ll get that hurting sensation when my skin gets a little torn then I stop and move on to the next fist. I’ve been doing it for a week and see results on the knuckles. The diet plan sounds great and doing the forearm conditioning sounds great too. You deserve a 👍
Nice informative video. Just two questions, How many days does the human body take to heal all the beating done on it's bones ? Does this form of body's recuperation to deal with damage on it's bones have any negative impact during one's senior life such has arthritis, or loss of sensation ?
I imagine it's done gently enough to avoid causing long term harm; but I've wondered about that myself. You want to strengthen, but definitely not cause nerve damage, etc. 😅

I did this for years in the 90's on a timber 12x12 frame in my home.. very enjoyable! I'm not a fighter - to smart for that.. I have no long term damage arthritis. Like I said.. many years I know I wouldn't hurt my hand by punching a persons head.. I WOULD never punch someone's throat unless I feared for my life.. it would kill them.. great vid !
He doesn’t know very much about how muscle builds. He said that when you go to the gym you don’t tear the muscle, you condition it. Muscle is actually built through muscle fibers tearing from strain and regrowing bigger and stronger.
Alacom he meant like not to literally TEAR them apart, there are cases where bodybuilders tear their biceps like literally and need to take a rest for a few months or so, search it on youtube, many videos.
I've already seen this, but even though he could've meant this ( you have no proof he did ) he should've made the statement more specific because he made it sound as if he didn't know what he was talking about.

Can you imagine walking outside and just seeing a guy slap his arm against a tree 😂😂😂
Sir Geoffrey weirdo alert 😂

Yup
One my friends who does maui tai and other marital arts found this really help and I think I'll try the knuckle one

Getting the blood to flow through your bones is really important guys don't forget about it!
League of Legends Feeds This is true!!! Get it flowing!
I miss your videos League
Aren't you a funny fellow :))
League of Legends Feeds please make more vids i miss the clips
now it's just getting ridiculous
ive trained for years on my brick inner walls and have very strong knuckles, for bare knuckle fighting.
The tree just kicked my ass and went for the 3 count pin. Currently having my nurse type this message for me from my hospital room.
A Revenant In The Nine Circles of Elysium hahaha!
The body is designed for survival, so it sacrifices bone density to protect the kidneys and urinary tract because the latter are essential to survival. And the most readily available source of acid neutralizer is in the bones. So even though milk contains calcium, it ends up sapping your bones of that crucial mineral.
I 've been following you for almost 6 years I believe and I got to say that I am still learning new things from you. Thank you sir!
Not sure blood flows "to your bones" can you cite sources?
Vanishing Gates Mmmmm lol they do mate. Ask any doctor or surgeon
Have you heard of bone marrow? If not, you will most likely learn about it when you hit 7th grade. I hope you sited sources before thoughtlessly making this comment.
it's more a comment of semantics than thoughtless. But thanks for playing.

nice ... IRONMAN)))))
RICK ROLLED{FaCTz} more like Iron Fist
I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this too time too time love this video :)
Yes, patience and consistency!
The bullshido is strong with this one
AMEN, SOUNDS LIKE HE IS PROMOTING HIS VIDEO AND OTHER GADGETS. There are real iron body techniques but this ain't it.

Hi
I broke my hand 3 times in 2018,Can I let my hand get the power and make the bones more storng with these exercises? Plz answer
Yes, you can just make sure your hands are 100% healed and ready to take a beating. Take it easy the first weeks.
Yeah go punch a tree lmao
@@Doth_ 😂
Ruin your hands
@Hunter Hall add cushioning if it hurts too much.
Then remove the cushioning when ready.
It worked for me.
Just adding in on what you said for others reading.
So u are telling me Steve's hands are actually made of iron?

Thoughts: "Damn Steve, when did you get that new high-quality-almost-real-like quality?"
Baki inspired me to watch this.
You deserve a 👍
I wonder what people walking by think when the see a guy punching a tree on a field
Nice informative video. Just two questions,
How many days does the human body take to heal all the beating done on it's bones ?
Does this form of body's recuperation to deal with damage on it's bones have any negative impact during one's senior life such has arthritis, or loss of sensation ?
I imagine it's done gently enough to avoid causing long term harm; but I've wondered about that myself. You want to strengthen, but definitely not cause nerve damage, etc. 😅
very interesting!like it:)
i have learned a lot thank you for making this video
Sir was your elbow dislocated??
He was probably trying to get a iron elbow. Lol
Looks like a missile about to launch... if thats what iron elbow looks like then I don't want it🤦🏻♂️

I have been training Iron Bone, Iron Shin, and Iron Fist Kung Fu since I was 18 years old. In that time I often use trees and other things in nature to make my bones stronger! People believe what you see and not what you hear
I did this for years in the 90's on a timber 12x12 frame in my home.. very enjoyable! I'm not a fighter - to smart for that.. I have no long term damage arthritis. Like I said.. many years I know I wouldn't hurt my hand by punching a persons head.. I WOULD never punch someone's throat unless I feared for my life.. it would kill them.. great vid !
"How to get arthritis."
Scousie Red arthritis is an auto immune disorder
@@ultrararesabra6159 you're right, but I believe it can be caused by repeated joint injury
@@shahirali8235 Then I guess I've had a lot of joint injury 😂
Punch the arthritis away.
I was wondering if you could make finger strength training. I already have strong fingers
How did u get strong fingers?
@empbac what is the training?
@empbac lmao he didnt get the joke.
Alacom yeah we never know hahahh
Alacom he literally said dislocate stop trying to find loopholes
He said them as two separate things, because tearing and dislocating obviously are two different things.
Can we use whey protein powders and calcium and multivitamin tablets??
when bodybuilding you tear the muscles for it to rebuild
brennan cliff True dat!
brennan cliff you’re muscle fibers don’t actually tear tho lol
brennan cliff, this doesn't mean literally. You merely stretch and stress them out, causing the fibers to get conditioned and heal to become stronger.
brennan cliff Facts!
Cool but bones aren't muscles
