    I am impressed by Your extraordinary ability to detailedly inform the student of all dangers and mistakes that Tree Training may bring to a beginner. Such demonstrations are, in my opinion, extremely important for those who tend to be inspired by action, without having enough patience to achieve remarkable results in a specific field.
    With great respect,

    I have watched a lot of video on Iron palm this is the best one and the reason is, you don't always have the fancy 15 dollar bag to use but trees are every were. If civilization was to break down and men went back to less tech. Then having this type of training would be key to training warrior class of people.

      Shawn Scorpion The idea of not having bags even in a post apocalypse is silly lol. A zip lock bag with rice, beans, or if you have to sand (not preferable, since it clumps up and turns hard like rock). Wrap that thing in duct tape and you have yourself an iron palm bag.

      Make sure you boil the sand and sterilize it. I have done it this way as well but had mold grow out from the beach sand.

    • @ericwalker3588
      @ericwalker3588 5 лет назад +1

      I have tried the phone book too. It's ok but not as good as using sand. And believe me the Iron balls are really the best way to do it. The Iron balls absorb the shock way better than any other way. It's worth the expense in the long run.

    Good training. Just takes years of conditioning. And start out slow.
    After years of practicing this you will be able to hit things very hard with no damage or pain. Important to focus ( the mind ) with each hit.
    The only one I am not too confident with is the back hand, now that would hurt unless your hands are very well conditioned. Very easy to break the small bones in the back of your hand unless you know what your doing. I stick to the shuto chop and the palm slaps. Also like the palm slap followed by the rake ( or tiger claw strike ) it's good to rip off some tree bark with that one.

    iron bone techniques do not require any special material just correct form and patience it takes time to build up the strength of your bones for beginners you could use your fists and palms a plank of wood anything actually it doesnt matter so i thank this man for posting this video it does help teach people

    Looks easy but try it... most people will bruise just after doing 2 or 3 good slaps and then have to wait a couple of days before trying again. It is a good idea to go really light if you are a beginner. Just snap your wrist into the moves and hit the tree just enough that it stings a little but doesn't bruise. As the skin, bones get stronger you can hit with more power like he does.

    • @mrlobster1287
      @mrlobster1287 7 лет назад +9

      its not about getting "stronger"....this whole bs training is just making microfractures in the hand an have them heal over time...over....and over....and over, for years as the layers of bones heal over themselves....you end up with a fucked up hand that can hit harder...this tree crap is pure bullshit.

    • @aleksijevujovic7262
      @aleksijevujovic7262 7 лет назад +5

      mrlobster1287 microfractures in knuckles, shin bones etc is extremely beneficial in martial arts. You're not fucking up your hand or whatever part you're conditioning. It's not scar tissue, bones don't work that way.

    He looks skilled an experienced, and I do think this training is legit, bone conditioning is a real thing, and you can work it on your hands, shins, knuckles, etc, and get them stronger just like muscles, but you have to be careful, obviously. In my own experience, I've used a bean bag made of canvas and filled with dry beans I ordered online, and have had a lot of success simply doing reps of different hits on that. I don't disagree with using a tree either, however I'll say overall that fist/palm/bone conditioning is what I would call a related skill to martial arts and self defense training, and shouldn't be the focus in my opinion. There are plenty of people who've never done this kind of training who can fight very effectively, since they spend most of their time on sparring, learning timing, application, and physical conditioning.

    So do I Mr. Fedorko, All the best! Sir, you are right in saying, there is no need for extra equipment to develop Iron palm capabilities, all you need is atree andefofrot and time. Gradual approach is the key to avoid hurting oneself and develop stamina in your palms, for arms . What caught me is the preference of using muscled parts of the hands or arms, contrary to some hardliner styles. Only one minute mistake, you are speaking and applying clockwise turning of your Dantien, but your hands are showing the opposite direction! Best regards. Paul, 67, retired insturctor of Karate.

      Coming back to let anyone interested know that this works wonders. Been training for about a month, i try to get 3 or 4 hour sessions every week. At first i could only do 5 sets of 10 at about 30% force for every exercise, now i can do 5 sets of 50 reps at about 70% force. If i were to slap or palm someone in the face, it would hurt like hell. Great way to condition the body!

    Great video Dale. This guy has good technique when he throws the power palm at the end, guarantee it would put the hurt on someone. I want to try some of these things, I only recently discovered how strong a power palm strike is. I feel like the power palm cross should be added to boxing/ punch teachings. because those cross muscles get worked much harder when I focus on throwing power palms, likely because of the greater impact (knuckles probably absorb some impact) - it is a good thing to do at the end of training, as it quickly gasses out those large muscle groups on your power side. I cock my shoulder with my left arm fully extended almost and step in with my right power palm, naturally spinning the right palm counter clockwise before it hits the target, as you do a cross. learning to use that back foot with the cross /palm and spin your weight off of it is what determines the velocity of either strike . The palm strike is at least twice as powerful a cross. I cannot imagine what damage a conditioned hand like his would do to a human being at even half power, probably about like being whacked with a 2x4. Another thing to help with power cross or palm power, take a light resistance band (red), tie off chin height or a little lower, step away from band holding band with both arms, fully extended, and then move the band to the other side of your body with your arms fully extended, straight out in front of you.

    Ok, so there are Experts, those who are considered Proficient, then competent, beginners, novice, and then there is me..... way down here, so what was the concoction in the jar that's to be applied to the hands, wrists, and forearms? He said most importantly, do this first, but then I have no knowledge of it. Is it a purely physical skin absorption compound for minimizing bruising, or is it more of an herbal, spiritual/mental, inner healing catalyst? Forgive my lack of understanding.

    Sooo, spear hand/finger tip training is bad because it will cause premature arthritis but slapping the back of your hand on a tree is good even though it smashes all those veins and blood vessels and thickens up the tendons so you can't close your fingers or hold a pencil? Not to mention the possible blood clots that will circulate throughout your body and possibly lodge in your eye or heart. I think it might be easier to carry a collapsible baton or knife.

    Sir, I know this is an old video, but do you have a homemade recipe for Dit Da Jow?

      I'm pretty sure your best bet is to buy a kit. The herbs you need for Dit Da Jow aren't the kind of thing you'll find in a GMC or likely even any local herbal healing stores. Plum Dragon and East Meets West seem to be reputable

    Pine trees work great as makiwari, especially long leaf pine, which has larger bark. Starting out it is easier on the hands if the bark is wet. After a good soaking rain the bark will be more soft and spongy. If you don't has access to "dit jow" try soaking the hands in very warm brine solution before & after training. Salt tends to toughen skin and cauterize minor wounds. Piease be responsible and use a large, healthy tree; the larger the diameter, the better. Training on trees less than 8" in diameter could eventually kill the tree. No....I'm not kidding. If you can break a stack of boards, you can probably kill a tree.

      Angie Rogers yes. It’s like wereing gloves without gloves on bone wise, not so much skin wise. Your bones get heavier and you acclimate to striking contact and the feeling of being heavy handed with light force. Your skin does not toughen that much without buckets of hot sand and knife hand striking, but who wants hands that feel like sand paper and calluses everywhere. You need hit medicine herbals or you can’t sustain the hitting more than a few weeks.

      Its true, When hitting the tree you are getting micro fractures in the beginning bloody knuckles all the time, constantly. but one day honestly, ththey just dont bleed any more. This is when I was training, my hand bleed now, but then......they were like hammers, now just a hard stone. We di Win Tsun, or win chun....overwhelm with volume quantity and positioning. Forcing an opponent to react to having to defend, not having a chance to be in position to have any offense. Force them on defense always, take the space where their feet reside now, and press forward, like a nimble Pissed off bull.
