So I agree with the scam comment. But an establishment where I order at a counter, wait at a counter, then pick food up at counter, and they're making $16+ per hour, no tip. Like 5 guys has a tip jar now. It's $22 for a burger and fries and they have the audacity to have tip jars.

The place where she drank would have been held responsible for allowing her to leave there driving in that state! Bartenders have been jailed because they are supposed to know the cut off point. The facility because their security and staff are supposed to watch for highly intoxicated individuals who attempt to leave their establishment driving after drinking.
And her reputation… cos apparently that’s the only concern. This is what always playing the victim looks like, no accountability to be had whatsoever.

It doesn't take medication to act like that. Large amounts of alcohol is all you need.
Prednisone is probably the culprit. It’s a steroid which has wicked side affects in some people all by itself let alone mixed with alcohol. That would be my guess.

I take prednisone and the most that medicine does is make u hungry, that’s why ppl gain weight while taking it. It however does say not to consume alcohol while taking so she should have known better. That medicine is also not to be taken over a long period of time because you can become addicted to it.

It sounds like she drugged herself, she’s drinking on medication. Combining most medications with alcohol can have this effect, which is why doctors will tell u don’t drink on medication. I understand this was probably a very uncomfortable experience for her but she needs to take responsibility, learn from it and move on.

I also know for a fact if the hospital waits even a few hours to take blood, there will be no drug left in her blood. I went through this with my 20 year old daughter ,who went and had 2 drinks with her friends at a bar. She could not drunk much as she had work in the morn. She did not make it to work. her boyfriend brought her home and she was not herself. She could not stand and wanted to sleep on the floor at my front door, then start thrashing around over and over, kicking and slapping. I finally called the ambulance when she said i want it to stop, make it stop, it hurts, i just want to sleep.. She had no control over her body. And she was talking crazy things. And yet the paramedics and the hospital all claimed she was having some mental issues, along with being drunk. They never took blood till the morning. She had those episodes more times than i could count through the night. She would be sound asleep and all of a sudden she would start flinging her arms and legs around. No one even came to check on her till 9 am. When the morn shift dr came on. I was so mad. By then she was nearly back to normal and her blood work of course showed nothing and we left. I told them i had seen my daughter drunk before and she NEVER acted like that.

Im sorry but theres next to no drug that completely clears your system in 2 or 3 hours after ingestion. Most drugs would still be producing their effects and would take 1-7 days to clear your system depending on the drug. Just look up the half life of any substance and you can calculate how long it takes to metabolize.
And just fully read your story thats sounds like someone being irresponsible drinkibg too much even though they have work then proceeded to act a fool then was sobered up by morning when doctors came to see her. She should be embarrassed and owes you an apology for putting you through that.
Of all the drugs that can be tested at the hospital, cocaine is the shortest acting and that shows up for 2-3 days. She may have been drugged with something they don't test for or she's a drama queen.
Politicians are people too and as people, they do what people do but...when the politician gets themself's in an embarrassing situation don't lie about it.

Prednisone and alcohol are bad combos, that still doesn’t excuse her behavior, she should have known better. With that said, who among us hasn’t made a mistake? We don’t know what kind of outside pressures or stresses that were effecting her at the time. Unless this is common behavior and she over imbibes often, let’s not crucify someone when they are probably extremely embarrassed such a low moment of their life is being broadcast for all to see.

Both replies make perfect sense and I’m not going to argue any of the very valid points. I just want to point out that if she really is just a casual drinker, prednisone will create very similar side effects to that oh GHB/downers/ & even a stimulant or rage effect, when consumed with alcohol. Prednisone turns me into a rage monster, without alcohol involved. This lady very well may of thought someone spiked her drink and validly so, but that person was herself. We can not make a judgement as to what was going through her head at the time, she really could have believed someone spiked her drink since she’s never had a reaction like that before, but that would mean she’s a habitual drinker to excess and this whole discussion would be null and void because my original premise would no longer hold up.

Yeah, too many mixed drinks and cocktails will get you drunk quick, if you have too many. And mixing alcohol with medication is a horrible idea. It can be lethal.
