Bethesda's melee combat in general will never be "fixed" so long as you can still freely move during attacks and so long as their animations are so slow and clumsy. Unfortunately few mods exist to fix these problems despite them being both simple fixes and the root of the problem with the combat. I would also like to add that there is another combat mod that's almost as integral to improving the game. I don't recall its name, but what it does is add hit-stop to the game to better communicate when you've landed a hit. Lock-on is actually an incredibly useful mechanic, it just doesn't get much use because people keep mapping it to the analogue sticks instead of the shoulder buttons. It's more of an inconvenience at that point. Besides, good melee mechanics can pick up the slack for most humanoid enemies, and since the majority of enemies you fight in a melee focused game are humanoid, you end up not really needing it. Until you start getting more exotic enemies at least. Lock-on is the ideal way to fight enemies that fly or are particularly agile/fast, enemies that are much bigger or smaller than you, enemies with unorthodox shape or behavior, enemies with really complicated strategies and AI, and enemies that are just as powerful as you are in a one-on-one duel. All of that is to say, If you want wide enemy variety and you aren't a shooter, then you need a lock-on system. More importantly, though, lock-on is extremely helpful both for fighting and for _designing_ boss battles, which TES sorely lacks.
Oblivion had fine combat. Different weapons had different swing speeds and knock back. Using a claymore you could use spacing to keep your enemy out of range.
This looks like an amazing set of improvements to the game's combat. The animations still have that same floatiness look that I've always disliked, but there's only so much modders can change.

Personally, I want TES6 to implement a system similar to Breath of The Wild where you can use magic to burn foliage, shoot lightning at water to electrify it, or summon a rainstorm to make the ground slippery for opponents. Also being able to cut down trees or create traps with the physics engine could make for a fantastic combat system.

People are basically just turning Skyrim into another game. This game is old and a lot of people aren't as captured by it as they were before. The game "Skyrim" just doesn't compete with the other games on the market so people just turn it into a game that has the feel of skyrim but the modern mechanics of games today. They make their own version of Skryim. But, this isn't for everyone after all. People like you still like Skyrim for what it was before, broken combat, shitty dialogue and main story, but that weird "Skyrim" feel you love. And that's okay. But don't hate on people for wanting to make their own Skyrim. Just play your version. That's part of what makes this game beautiful to me, its ability to be a different experience for every player.

Just download LOOt, they auto sort your mod in load order list
The order of these mods is not that important, only make sure you place Ultimate Combat bellow Wildcat and you're good to go. But yea, like N3v3c said, you can always use Loot as well.
This is definetly game changing and encourages me to play again after feeling sick of the sight of this game . This brings a fresh life in the game
This video should be called: "How to make skyrim combat bloodborne"
How to fix Skyrim combat: Make it like Dark Souls
I tried to get the 3PCO camera mod on xbox but it's not available. Is it only for PC?
Collin Gartland
Sale issue and i cant fond à good similar one
Whoever made these mods need to help out with the combat system in Elder Scrolls 6. The dodge is a fantastic feature to add. I think perhaps the visualized damage points isn't really Bethesda's type of thing. Improving 3 person POV wouldn't be bad. Cool video 👍
3:42 "You will also need to turn off............" Turn off what? I didn't quite understand you there
Also is the order you put these mods on list the load order as well?

Can you tell me what hud mod you are using? I freaking love it
Customizable UI Replacer SkyHUD
Thanks for the List. I use Ordinator, it makes perk choice more important, before you can have almost all the perks by level 81, now you have to choose your perks, should have been included in the vanilla game.
"Console friendly" might as well say xbone friendly.
Then all the ps4 players wont click on the video, and he will miss out of money he normally gets missleading people.

Another thing, if your condition-based abilities from Ordinator stop working, respec your character. It's not a flaw of the mod; it is a vanilla bug.
If skyrim had mbwb combat system and a little bit of power into the slash it would've been perfect...
Only 7 mods... Cool, but just let me download these other 100+ mods from Nexus real quick.
Happens every single time I see a great video like this.
What mod do you use to display the damage numbers like that when you hit enemies and can I find it on Xbox?
The floating text damage mod only possible on pc
Great video, man.
Why is there not a open world game where you have a combat system like Prince of Persia??😢😢😭...or is there?

bro i cant make TK dodge work, i have Wildcat ,ultimate combat and FNIS, via Vortex
Any suggestions please?
I'm pretty sure two of those mods conflict with eachother
Did you update fnis behavior through the generate fnis exe?
Mark the Patch for tkdodge and ultimate combat in fnis my dude
Seems like Dark Souls inspired combat in Skyrim. Awesome!
We need a mod that changes the Skyrim combat system to the for honor combat system.
imagine an elder scrolls game with the movement and combat of ac odyssey, but with the fighting styles/weapon combo system of for honor.
@Carson Kouts Yes
Yeah For Honor's combat system is damn near perfect.
@Hitokiri Battousai Yes
Darkest dungeon music, i see you are a man of culture.

Dammit now you got excited to hop back on.
Sorry to sound like a dunce, but does anyone know the name of the mod in the video providing the ESO style hud, gold counter and watch?
Customizable UI Replacer SkyHUD is for the HUD, didn't find out about the gold and time yet
Tbh all rhe mods from EnaiSiaion are super good. He's got like 10+ mods that all support each other ranging from new perks to shouts to combat systems, even to whole quest lines.
Ultimate combat se isn't on Xbox bro

Skyrim Hunter World: Dragonborn
I’m subbed. This video just might get me back into Skyrim :{D
edit: do you play FO4? Think you could do one for that game?
Yo facts. Might install this on my PC, I stopped playing a warrior build early on because of the combat system but this makes it alot more fun.

I didn't. I don't think magic needs fixing, but it does lack more spells though. Feel free to add tons of quality magic mods like Apocalypse, Arcanum etc.

I’m tired of people saying they’re “fixing” Skyrim when they’re really just completely making it some jrpg or dark souls bullshit, completely robbing it of its atmosphere. This goes for all “beauty” or “character improvement” mods too.
To be fair, when it comes to combat,Skyrim's is crap and needs fixing,i dont really like the Dark Souls feel but combat does neex a fix.
Modders, making what the developers should have done, they should hire them, because they have what most developers doesn't possess: PASSION!
