- Today I am presenting the recipe for the simple and yet the best Iyengar style rava cake. This is a basically a eggless cake recipe that uses rava, Wheat flour, baking soda, dahi (yogurt), ghee and milk.

I followed the recipe exactly the same way. The cake turned out delicious and fluffy. Two improvements I aim for the next time I bake it - The sides and top are little hard after baking, should I scrape them or am I doing something wrong? Also I think this one was little sweet for me, so I will reduce the sugar by half. But all in all the moistness was very close to Iyengar, I think baking soda can be 1/2 instead of 1/4 to make it softer or I think I can use Maida instead of aataa. I like it, I am a beginner but thought it would be helpful to share thoughts.
Curd - 1/2cup
Ghee / oil - 6TBSP
Sugar - 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Sooji - 1 + 1/4 cup
Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
Baking powder - 1 +1/2 TSP
Baking soda - 1/4 TSP
PINCH OF SALT
Vanilla essence 1 Tbsp

Tried this recipe today..it turned out so good in taste aswell as texture..But I just replaced maida for wheat flour...Thank you so much for this recipe
