Oliver died twice in crisis and Diggle failed to say goodbye but now he finally says goodbye to him after everything they went through in Arrow. This is the best episode this season!!!
John Diggle did seem to get cheated out of his chance to say goodbye to Oliver, back during the Crisis event. I'm glad Oliver and John got to give each other proper send offs, like true friends should.
I love how at peace Oliver feels. There's no more fighting, no more pain, no more sorrow. He's just watching over the entire multiverse he gave his life to create, counting down the days until he can see Felicity again.
@@TheImmortalBloodwolf well, in the end of arrow felicity asks monitor to take her to where oliver is and moniter does that. That means that felicity dies and meets oliver in the after life. So, no...they do meet again but it will be a while.
Yeah, it'll be sad to part with him again after his businesss is done, but, saying goodbye to those who'll leave you can bring closure and peace of mind.
It's easier to say goodbye to someone you thought died but is in fact still alive. So now instead of feeling guilt and being depressed, now that he knows Oliver in fact breathes and is still alive, Diggle can pick himself back up
Me too. I missed them so much. The ending of Arrow is still sad for me because I really wanted Oliver to live his life, not become the Spectre during a crossover. I’m glad at least one wrong from that garbage has now been righted.
This was the perfect way to wrap up unresolved things that went down with Arrow final season without screwing it up. It was done perfectly and it felt like an episode of Arrow.
Don't get me wrong Arrow and the Flash we're My shows 💯, early seasons we're insane, but they did go downhill with the last season's, really struggled to get through and episode of arrow in the last, but I think the last season's of the flash we're worse 😂🤣
"Your brightest days are ahead of you..." This may be the last time we see Diggle of E-1/Prime in the Arrowverse, but at least this somewhat gives hope that he will become Green Lantern one day.
this is why arrow was the best show in the arrowverse… not only did it start off the entire thing, but i don’t think the series ever really went downhill. when it had an episode that wasn’t as good, it picked itself back up. they brought back oliver and created on of the best episodes of the flash that i have seen in a long time.
@@manikn4585 that's true, personally though I feel the Flash has been consistently on par even if you don't like the special effects I honestly haven't noticed a drop in quality either story or special effects. The Flash has been my favorite show since it's birth.
Diggle is one of the few people Oliver willingly hugs and just embraces it. That "I love you" broke me it was so necessary after Dig not being able to say goodbye to him. And that little mention of Felicity 😭😭😭 I'm dead. I miss them.
I love this scene. Dig finally got the closure he deserved. Digs mission was always to save Oliver so him not being there when he died was horrible. It was compounded by the fact that Oliver gave him back his daughter (that Barry erased) yet he never got to say goodbye or thank him. Plus they continued to cement olicity’s soulmatism and that he will get to be with his wife again. He’s able to watch over his family in the meantime.
"You're my family Oliver, I'm just glad I get to say goodbye to you" 😭💔 I fell off watching the flash after S5, but came back to watch this & I'm happy I did, it was worth it.🥺
This scene was good and seeing Oliver and Diggle finally saying goodbye to each other was a nice moment. Both have gone through so much over the years and it was just perfect.
Preaching to the coir! They had such great chemistry from the get go. I 🖤 everytime Diggle put Ollie back in his place. He would've never become as awesome a Green Arrow if it weren't for John!
Danielle Panabaker did an amazing job directing this episode. I hope she gets the opportunity to direct more after this season is over. Many actors/actresses who managed to follow and then got to direct themselves don't seem to get opportunities to direct elsewhere all that often. This applies to Laura Vandervoot (Smallville, WB), Caity Lotz (Arrow, Legends, CW), and others. The only actress as of late who moved mostly into directing and acts occasionally is Lea Thompson - but she learned to direct after her big movie, Back to the Future a long time ago.
Erica Durance(Lois Lane) went on to do Saving Hope from 2012 to 2017 and was the main character of that series. She was a producer on the show and did direct an episode.
He is... just from the greatest of distance. He has the blessing of still being able to watch over them and as he says to Dig, his and Felicity's destinies are written. We see in Arrow's series finale they are eventually reunited.
Can someone explain to me how William and Mia are adults in this timeline three years after Oliver's death? I thought Mia went back to 2040. They should be with Felicity as children at this point. Right? Or do I need to rewatch the last season of Arrow. Maybe I'm just forgetting.
Really gonna miss Oliver queen ,and diggy friendship their have best bromance in the arrowverse it nice to see John finally got closure from Oliver like he is there for him💚.
from my understanding Stephen had one request and he never said what it was and he had part in it. my guess the request was this one scene and than of course the update on his kids of course. i got the impression he talked it over with the writers on what he wanted the episode to be.
Idk why this made me tear up that much. Same with him and Barry. I was still a late teenager when arrow was coming out, now I'm a 30yo man. I grew up with these dudes. I don't watch flash anymore but had to watch this.
It felt like they were in a way breaking the 4th wall and talking as actors too, about how their characters didn't get to say goodbye. Truly needed & well executed!
It was sweet that Diggle got to say goodbye to his best friend this time since he didn’t in arrow they had a great bromance in the Arrowverse it was good to see them together for the final time 💚💚💚🏹🏹🏹!!!!!

There is a reason we call it the Arrowverse, you could never end The flash without this, this episode just made forgive them for the last 3 seasons
