- Hi yall, This year winter has been a late arrival, but the snow is finally starting to come. With gate closures all around us it is becoming harder to find local camping especially in the higher elevations. In this video we will be setting up camp and testing out some new gear as well as enjoy some campfire cooking along this beautiful mountain creek side with family.

I’m from Modesto...wish I knew of that place for the winter because places I go are closed, Herring, Hull ,Eagle...definitely don’t blame you for keeping it secret. There was a little known place in the 80’s called Utica Reservoir by Slick Rock trail that’s a circus now thanks to the internet...

Could you add a Y splitter in the diesel heater to heat both tents at the same time? Just hav to park close enough.
Yes and that’s actually what I was going to do, but the kids didn’t want the heater they wanted the heated blankets haha, plus the spot we were at didn’t have good side by side parking next to the creek. But they each have there own heated blanket and sleeping bag so they didn’t freeze. I did end up moving the heater over to there tent before they woke up to dry out the moisture in the tent.
