- Charlie and I are out snow wheeling and exploring for new camping spots this adventure, when we found a really cool spot for the night next to a waterfall. A bit of a struggle to get there, but we eventually do and it was totally worth it. This trip we set up to campfire cook and test out our new hcalory diesel heater. Thanks for watching. 🍻

looked like there is a shelf road going around the mountain where the trees are missing.
That is a shelf road, the trail I camped along crosses the creek In front of the waterfall and leads to the other side of the mountain where the trees are missing. Looked like nobody has made the trip yet in the snow as there were no tracks. 🍻
@@ATEMOFFROAD Yeah I noticed that fresh snow is what caught my eye for Adventure the path less chosen.
@@TwoFeatherChannel it would definitely be a fun snow trail adventure, with another vehicle. in some spots it’s very sketchy and my fear is sliding off the side. I’ve gone far back in to a section like that and had to back out the jeep all the way in reverse about 100 yards. I was too chicken to turn the jeep around on the path it was too narrow and I was almost to the end of the trail but then realized at the top of the mountain just before it flattens out there one last steep obstacle I had to clear and yeah I wasn’t doing that by myself. lol I made it out safe though. We are expecting a new storm system coming in this week they call it the Pineapple Express. 🤣 my guess it’s going to be tropical and warm us up a bit, which it’s been in the 70s all week. @@JeepinDownUnder good y’all have taken a beating from the sun for too long. “The Pineapple Express” not the movie. 🤣😎 is an atmospheric river that sets up a fire hose of moisture starting near Hawaii and blasts the West Coast. That atmospheric river can carry up to 27 times the amount of water carried by the Mississippi River, which is the equivalent of up to 10-15 inches of rain. You probably get these all the time, I believe you just lived one. But yeah if some cold air blows over front the mid west and north, maybe will see an abundance of snow. ❄️❄️
How do ya get Charlie up in that tent easy an out safely lol , curious to do rooftop tent on my 09 2dr jk with my 80lb wolf dog lol
I pick her up , she’s about 80 lbs too so I do struggle, but good news is I’ve been working on a few new safer ways of getting her up there. 1st way is there is a ladder attachment you can get that she can walk up without falling through and the second one is bringing a sturdy extra table that I can set the ladder on and let her climb up about half way with a piece of wood and carpet. Just some ideas but I’m going to try a play around with it this next camping video as I get asked this often. Thanks for watching. 🍻

Thanks it definitely was, and yes I love the IO tent but during this trip the zipper broke unfortunately! It’s currently getting snaps in replacement of the zipper I have a custom upholster making the repairs as of now. It’s going to cost around 200. FYI. New video on this coming soon. Would love have the IO carbon fiber tent.🍻
@@ATEMOFFROADI’ve been searching forever for an ultra light RTT solution. I had the iKamper X-Cover, and while it had plenty of room (sleeps 4 people!) it was WAY too heavy for my TJ. Over 8 inches wide when closed, it was a 150lbs brick sailing through the wind, rocking my Jeep side to side. I bet in comparison the IO tent would be barley noticeable 😂
@@rustyintheoutdoors oh yeah same I had one and really Loved the annex option, but yeah the IO is barely noticeable and makes a huge difference offroading. 🍻
Hey, I was looking at that diesel heater you’re using I wondered a couple of things how do you like it? Is it decent? Does it do a good job is it still working?, Also, how did you catch the fuel bottle to it?

i would imagine you exhaust pipe should be extended and away from heating duct
Yes that’s a good point especially if it’s getting hot , I felt mine and there was no impact on the duct from heat the way I had it set up. Also the manufacturer actually recommends it be mounted right next to the duct using the supplied bracketry. Thanks for watching 🍻

@@ATEMOFFROAD i know we had mishap and the exhaust pipe was blowing stinky so i would worry having an impact on the duct blowing the smell into the ten
@@conniesquires3057 that’s true and I understand the concern, I keep a carbon monoxide detector and try to point the exhaust down wind, but I’m actually considering making an adapter for my heater so I can put another duct on the fresh air side then be able to recycle the hot air from the tent making the heater more efficient. Next time I take out the heater I will use the exhaust extension and point it downward and further away.
How do you get charlie up there? My lab is 85 pounds and I dont think id wanna be carrying his butt up and down as he has to go out/ use bathroom at 3 am....LOL
I use a safe method to pick up and set down dogs, luckily she’s able to hold herself till the morning. I did find a few different methods to get her down and up the ladder but will have to try these out in future videos. 🍻
So to turn on the heater you use an App which requires Wi-Fi. How do you turn it on if there’s no Wi-Fi service?
Blue tooth connection. We have the same heater for our RTT. Works like a charm.

We have the same Jeep. 97 automatic 4 cylinder that is the exact same color. My 15 year old and I are working on it together so he can learn how to work with tools.@@ATEMOFFROAD
