    I bought today the 2019 adventure sports only 1400km on it. For me it’s much more beautiful than the 2020 mod and it’s Euro4. Great Sound and first of all super comfy 😊

    Would be interesting to ride it off road with off road tyres as opposed to with road tyres. As you say the engine sounds great but Honda is a bit behind compared to rivals KTM, BMW, Triumph with spec i.e. NO cruise control and as you say that LCD dash looks very dated like it is from Star Wars 1980. Does it have heated grips or illuminated switch gear like rivals? For me the new adventure bike top contender on the block is the KTM 790 Adventure R, much lighter, low down weight with repositioned fuel tanks, more nimble and still plenty enough power for lots of fun off road. Thanks for your review.

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you Alex, yes = heated grips, no = illuminated switches.
      Cheers, Scott
      Edit: as far as the LCD dash, they are going for the Dakar Rally look but let's be honest, how many of us will take this to the Dakar Rally? LOL! This is why the competition has a "normal" TFT display, for us normal guys. :)

    I just wish it was lower. I’m 5’10 with 30 inch seam legs.
    The regular AT is a little bit lower but I prefer the look of the Adventure. And it has all the options that I would have to buy.

    Ciao a tutti la mia scelta per usare il mio cellulare sulla mia moto africa twin 2019 come navigatore é ricaduta nei tre pezzi della ram mount ram-b-408-37-62u supporto telaietto parabrezza, ram-b-201u-a prolunga da 6cm e a seconda della grandezza dei cellulari e di dove sono posizionati i pulsanti volume ed accensione in queste due soluzioni ram-hol-un7bu oppure ram-hol--un10bu. La ritengo la soluzione più valida per l'africa Twin 2018, 2019 vista la palpebra e in più non rischiate con prodotti tutti chiusi ed impermeabili che il cellulare vada in crash per il surriscaldamento.

    Cool bike, sounds great, but I think the Tenere 700 is better value proposition.

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  5 лет назад +7

      Yes it is but the Tenere 700 is in the middleweight adv class. The Africa Twin is in the heavyweight adv class. So one should compare the Tenere 700 to other middleweights, 790 Adventure, Tiger 800, 750/850GS...etc.
      Cheers, Scott

    Hi Scott I'm curious which engine you would choose if you could make a choice between the Honda dct african twin or the BMW 1250 gs adventure.

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  4 года назад +2

      Hi, hmm...never thought about that. I like each motor in it's own configuration, I think the Boxer belongs in the GS but not many other BMW's that they've put it in. And I think the twin in the Honda belongs there too.

      Yes, I agree, if I was just going to do road only, then the basic version is all one needs. The Adventure Sports is really for off-road and long distance travel.

    You’d think for how much this and the reg AT are brand new - they would come with a full color TFT - i dont mind the monochrome LCD - I’m just sayin.

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  5 лет назад +1

      Agreed, yes, I get the Dakar Rally look of the display but come on, how many of us will actually take an AT to the Dakar Rally? This is why all the other big ADV bikes have TFT's.

    • @NothingToProve

      Thank you Glen,
      Maybe down the road, right now for a one man show it's hard to actually get the riding gear, I have to purchases it myself and that can get very expensive very quickly. Especially with making around €50 on each video, it just does not make sense right now. When/if I get bigger, then it is something I'd like to do, perhaps during the winter breaks.
      Thanks for the suggestion, cheers, Scott
