I bought today the 2019 adventure sports only 1400km on it. For me it’s much more beautiful than the 2020 mod and it’s Euro4. Great Sound and first of all super comfy 😊
Have you had any problem with the fuel filter/fuel tank?
@@davidbenoit7573never any problem
You Sound like Winnie The Pooh 😁, nice review tho 👍
Great review! Especially going over controls, parking brake, display. It was like I was right there with you while you explained all the buttons/switches.
Your voice is very rellaxing
What a relief, after all those reviews with irritating music, yelling and screaming.... It is like watching the David Attenborough of motorcycles....
I'd love to hear your opinion on the Suzuki V-strom 1000
Top guy commenting on a top bike
Love mine
Ride safe and thanks
Pete
A good reliable Honda, fair enough, but it lacks HP Honda, outpowered by the Suzuki V-Strom XT.
The 'Mister Rogers' of moto reviews. Great work!
I've no idea how you only have 6k subs - I've watched a tonne of your vids and love your relaxed, knowledgeable delivery. You do a great job.
Please do some cruiser on your reviews. Love how you do your videos
best review of the Africa twin i have seen. THANKS!!!.
Thank you Sergio.
What riding pants are those ?!
Found em they are the Trilobite Probut X Factor Jeans Pants in case anyone is wondering
Yes they are! :)
Excellent review, as always very informative, something i can rely on. The conversion to inches is in error: 900mm = 35.4in, 920mm = 36.2in.
Thanks Ministrant!
Cheers, Scott
What does he mean by the dct costs 3 kilos more? When I try to convert it shows around 3 cents and I know that can't be right
theviewsichoose 6.6 pounds more weight.
theviewsichoose It comes at a cost of increased weight.
Would be interesting to ride it off road with off road tyres as opposed to with road tyres. As you say the engine sounds great but Honda is a bit behind compared to rivals KTM, BMW, Triumph with spec i.e. NO cruise control and as you say that LCD dash looks very dated like it is from Star Wars 1980. Does it have heated grips or illuminated switch gear like rivals? For me the new adventure bike top contender on the block is the KTM 790 Adventure R, much lighter, low down weight with repositioned fuel tanks, more nimble and still plenty enough power for lots of fun off road. Thanks for your review.
Thank you Alex, yes = heated grips, no = illuminated switches.
Cheers, Scott
Edit: as far as the LCD dash, they are going for the Dakar Rally look but let's be honest, how many of us will take this to the Dakar Rally? LOL! This is why the competition has a "normal" TFT display, for us normal guys. :)
@@NothingToProve Thanks for your reply.
Muito linda essa moto.Sonho um dia comprar uma dessa.
Great review as always Scott.
I just wish it was lower. I’m 5’10 with 30 inch seam legs.
The regular AT is a little bit lower but I prefer the look of the Adventure. And it has all the options that I would have to buy.
Great review, thank you.
Great review, many thanks! My own 2019 AS DCT is being registered -> very soon on the road! 🙂
Please take this in the best way possible. You are the Bob Ross of motorcycle reviewers. Which is awesome...
Thank you Erik, don't worry, I get a "Bob Ross" comment about once a week. I just try to be laid-back, relaxed and clear in my presentation, that's all.
Cheers, Scott
@@NothingToProve And when you put those happy, little wheels into that happy, little curve the Joy of Motorcycling had been launched. 🙂
LOL! I also get the Mr. Rogers comments too.
I owned a KLR 650 and a Vstrom 1000. Both were fat pigs in the dirt, the adventure part of adventure bikes can be downright exhausting 😃
I have to say the sound of that bike is very nice.
Best review out there. Picking my 2019 up this weekend. Thanks
great video!
Great review! Love the honesty and openness in your filming! Keep it up!
Love my '18 ATAS! This from a former Yamaha only guy (still have my WR250R though).
Just found your channel. I hope you do a review on the new 2020 AT. I like your style 👍
Cool bike, sounds great, but I think the Tenere 700 is better value proposition.
Yes it is but the Tenere 700 is in the middleweight adv class. The Africa Twin is in the heavyweight adv class. So one should compare the Tenere 700 to other middleweights, 790 Adventure, Tiger 800, 750/850GS...etc.
Cheers, Scott
Hi Scott I'm curious which engine you would choose if you could make a choice between the Honda dct african twin or the BMW 1250 gs adventure.
Hi, hmm...never thought about that. I like each motor in it's own configuration, I think the Boxer belongs in the GS but not many other BMW's that they've put it in. And I think the twin in the Honda belongs there too.
Hi Scott, could you please test the Niken.....Then you have to reconsider your second sentence because this „thing " is an amazing bike .....btw thumbs up as always 👍
Hmm, I'll have to check with the local Yamaha dealership and see if they have one on demo, if they do then I'll do it. :)
Great bike
Fantastic review as always what a great bike go Honda🇦🇺👍
nice like always!
You do great reviews -- cya next time
WANT IT! That’s my goal now .
Great review!
Filed for unemployment! Funny man love it!
Nice Video again and a damn nice bike! If i would drive a bike like this, i would prefer the AT! But the basic version!
Yes, I agree, if I was just going to do road only, then the basic version is all one needs. The Adventure Sports is really for off-road and long distance travel.
Cheers, Scott
You’d think for how much this and the reg AT are brand new - they would come with a full color TFT - i dont mind the monochrome LCD - I’m just sayin.
Agreed, yes, I get the Dakar Rally look of the display but come on, how many of us will actually take an AT to the Dakar Rally? This is why all the other big ADV bikes have TFT's.
NothingToProve exactly!
Im_Tired_Too oh hell yea, the DCT is great!
Great work 👌👌👌 thanks for the review
This is asmr for sure
Excellent review.
A hot chocolate and chill!. This Africa Twin is a master class.
Great analogy! Thanks Andre!
Cheers, Scott
Awesome 👌
Reminds me of Bob Ross.
I just need a perm!
If Bob Ross did bike reviews
He does, I'm him. 🤣👌
Bob makes happy accidents...
Dct 3 kilos ? Poor man
Another excellent review as always. Will you ever do reviews of riding gear? Helmets, gloves, trousers, boots etc?
Yes 😃 that would be great
Thank you Glen,
Maybe down the road, right now for a one man show it's hard to actually get the riding gear, I have to purchases it myself and that can get very expensive very quickly. Especially with making around €50 on each video, it just does not make sense right now. When/if I get bigger, then it is something I'd like to do, perhaps during the winter breaks.
Thanks for the suggestion, cheers, Scott
