Brett...when you said you bought one i knew i had to have one. it took a year before I found one I could afford. Of all places on Amazon for 46% off! I can't put it down. An amazing value. Thanks for your hard work in bringing us your invaluable content. You are still very much my #1 YT guitar pro. Been watching for ever. Hope your wife's garden is even better than ever this year and your daughter is blessed with good health and a joy for life.
I had a Player Plus Strat that came with the Noiseless p/u's and I could never really enjoy playing because I felt it was missing something. Turns out it was the noise itself! I guess after a lifetime of hearing the hum in the background my ears just naturally prefer it. Weird huh? So anyway, I picked up a used Nashville just recently for a good price and swapped the noiseless out for some Tim Shaw Tele and of course, one Strat p/u's. Man it sounds great and is so much fun to play. I have two other Teles, One Fender and one G&L, but this is now my favorite to pick up and lose myself with. Great demo, great playing and love the channel.
O K. I'M IN ALBERTA, CANADA. 🇨🇦 😎 "THE WEST!" - TELE COUNTRY - This is the best New Tele review on the web. Period. Bar none! Much appreciate the Aussie inflection, and understated sheer competence! 😀 Very "Canadian Style - no fuss, no muss, no bother! Just gettin' the job done, !✔️ 😎 and laying down exceptional sound! Kudos!
Also played one this week (same colour) and fell in love straight away. Had to buy it as there was no way I was going to risk anyone else picking it up..🤙 It’s quality and versatility have blown me away.
Great demo. I never understood why the MIM deluxe Nashvilles of a few years back were not more popular! Great guitars for the money! The tone pot pull switch is a nice addition. BTW I put a Fender Bigsby B5 on mine and is killer!!
I've seen four or five other playing reviews. Yours is the best. Thanks for walking thru each pickup selection & then clearly showing that you've pulled or pushed the tone knob in. I've asked Santa for one for '21 Christmas. I've tried to be a good boy. Fingers crossed, Sign of the cross & lit a candle. I want the Opal Spark. 00
I'm liking the look of the Player Plus Strats, particularly the gradient colours and the metallic green. Maybe if the gigs continue to ramp up I'll be able to get one. Fingers crossed.
I nearly bought one few years ago but then I ABed it against a Baja telecaster. The Baja was had more dynamic and the tone were more usable/musical, the Nashville pickups are quite hot. I wish I could've afforded both though.
Fender finally spec'd out a Tele in a way that has me interested. You showed but didn't mention the body contour. Really happy to see it here, along with all the other great features. Nice demo.
Congrats for this excellent presentation indeed! I have a mim wine red standard tele maple and this one aged candy apple red has to go next to it now really!! Thank you so much for the enlighting scope with amazing sounds dare I say!!
Well you can’t give it a better review than “I bought it.” Guess I need to put my hands on one of these & see what the fuss is about. Sounds like they really did a good job with the necks, I roll all my finger boards if they aren’t already so I know what a difference that makes. The 12” radius I’m not so sure about, I tend to stick to 9.5” on my Fenders. Great playing as always Brett!
Looks like it went through a couple of changes. The heel joint is not cut ( curved) and the frets are medium jumbo . The old frets were tall thin . That’s what was posted on the older model.
I have been thinking if I should buy this tele. I love the idea of getting both the Tele and Strat options. But there is no way I am buying this without getting the Nordvang! That sold me. Great pedal/guitar combo. Thanks for the video.
I would have preferred to find it 10 years ago but I had to buy a Nashville b bender and I'm sorry to have sold it despite the excessive weight, this will surely be my final purchase
The only thing I can think of that would have made this even more appealing would have been to give it the neck heal carve (I really would have loved that). I've never bonded with a Tele (and Ive had and tried many) because thin radius neck guitars dont work for me, and I dont like their traditional bridges. I never liked Noiseless pickups in previous generations but seems like they got it right this time. Very appealing at a price point that almost demeans it! Feel like I wouldnt know when I want to pick up my strat vs this guitar though. And Brett, you make a Squier sound good so its no true test of what this would sound like me playing on my rig. But this has my attention. I just sold off multi-thousand dollar guitars that didnt do it for me that this is more intriguing to me now that I am off the what name is on it and where was it made snobby.
For the record I did put in a request for a demo Player Plus Strat, but nothing has happened in that department so I'm guessing they're moving enough of them without contribution from me.
That thing would be right up my alley...if I wouldn't have read really scary things in the ratings on Thomann - one with the bridge mounted wrong so the intonation couldn't be set properly, one with defective electronics, one with the protective paper missing on the bridge PU, one with a misaligned string tree, a bad neck pocket, two with a botched nut, two with a bent pot, a few with finish issues and several complaints about the factory setup (or the lack thereof). The latter could be fixed but that all sounds like there are still so serious QA issues at Fender (after all that was just the feedback on the one shop that allows open criticism about the products) that I better keep looking for a Telecaster with a 12" fretboard radius elsewhere, hoping for something from Japan. Really too bad.
If I bought a Fender Player Plus Nashville Tele would I need to also buy a Fender American Performer Strat. Since the Tele has a Strat pickup, would it be worth spending the money, or saving it on the Tele 2-in one and buy effects pedals?
Great playing mate. I'm intrigued by this model. As a strat owner I'm wondering whether this is going to give me something different or new than I already have? Also just how noiseless are the pickups? Do they run particularly hot?
Thanks, Chris. As a Strat owner you'll get a slightly different ergonomic feel. It feels like a slick Tele because that's what it is. If you're used to a Tele you might enjoy the Strat tones which were otherwise unavailable. The pickups are very quiet. Perfect for stages with induction or bad power problems. Not too hot either.
Nice sounds Brett. This looks very similar to my now superseded Nashville Deluxe Tele. Mine has a relief at the neck joint but doesn't get the push/pulll tone pot (I have thought about adding one). My pots are 1Meg units which make the tone very "twangy" if you want it, are these the same or 500K? Nice colour too, mine is Daphne Blue. Cheers Brett.
@@BrettKingman Same here. I saw the middle pickup and was put off but then you took us on the tour of its sounds and features and I was sold. Great color, too.
Something about a tele and I think traditional/classic or whatever other term you care to think of. So, the middle pickup was like....ewwh. But, not only does this colour look great, seems to sound excellent (very versatile) & with the rolled fret board appears very well made, along with some of the other features. The neck looks roasted? Or at least very dark, I guess a stain for Pau Ferro. Rather keen on this, other than I just bought a TM blonde a fortnight ago. Perhaps in a month or two I'll see how interested I still am in this or some other guitar. 😆 You probably didn't need to review/demo this for us Burgs. You only had to say: " This just arrived a few days ago...I played it and immediately rang Fender and told them I was buying it...it's that good." Say no more!!! Cheers. 🎸🎸🎸
NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOUNDS VERY GOOD... BUT I WANT A REAL OLD AMERICAN VINTAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr K always delivers more top sounds than most You Tube guitar channels wonderful!☺👍🎸
Great review... I've bought one also. Butterscotch blonde.. Different than my old tele and my strat, just a fun combo of both.. 😎🎶👍
Have it in Blue (opal spark) thanks for a great review Brett

Looking to purchase a good telecaster and a good price might look into this one thank you for your review thumbs up from Geelong 😅🇭🇲👍
Brett has been picking up a few country licks. Good job
Man you've got some nice chops there. I have a MIM thinline with a noisless kinman in the middle, Brillant setup.
Thanks for posting Mate! I just ordered mine in the same look as yours. Enjoyed your playing as well. 😀👍

Looking forward to the Plus series Stratocaster review 😃. On a side note that tonemaster deluxe sounds unbelievably good.
I requested the Tequila Sunrise version but it didn't show. So we both could be waiting for a while...
@@BrettKingman fair enough, with Melbourne in full lockdown even a music store isn’t an option 🙁
super versatile with those magic fingers :)
I would have preferred to find it 10 years ago but I had to buy a Nashville b bender and I'm sorry to have sold it despite the excessive weight, this will surely be my final purchase
Is it just me or is the player plus Nashville quite a lot better than the older deluxe MIM Nashville??
I was hoping you'd give your opinion on these new models👍 great stuff.

it sounds great maybe that you play great i have just ordered one !
You get any weird buzz on the low e and a? I do on my nashville and can't figure it out. Did a setup and checked it is not coming from a fret or nut.
Fantastic playing!

The relief is a welcome addition for those of us who enjoy a pie every now and then. 🥧🍺

Don’t you have a problem with the first string?
Sounds like an instant classic Brett.
It's pretty versatile, Mark. A cool marriage of classics.
I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to Telecasters for some reason, but this guitar does look and sound tasty. Great demo and playing, Brett!
Me too, David (the purist bit). But this guitar caught me off guard, so to speak. It's a lot of fun.
