I would definitely go with the car color under the hood. If the car is white outside I'd go under hood white also it's only hard to clean if the paint surface is all bumpy and lumpy and dirty if you have a good smooth finish when you paint it it'll all clean up good everybody goes black because it's easy but white looks much more sanitary
