Still waiting for the 4L60E to let go on my 2000 1500 Z71 to let so I can justify to the wife doing a built 4L80E. Of course when I want a 60 to let go it just keeps going strong..🤣.. Great Video man
@@TWAMotorsports can you share what options are out there? I see that the factory torque arm can be used with the bmr cross member that has the bracket for the torque arm so I may go that route. I’m just trying to do a budget ls swap with my 14 year old son. We plan to buy the bmr k member and cross member. Thanks for all the info your videos are helping me gain a ton of knowledge.
Yeah my 98 trans am been sitting for about 2-3 years went into guns and now how washington state is going with the awb I have a new urge to get the trans am done how I want it. Going mwc full suspension, mwc 9in, jakes 4l80e, 6.0l lq4, huron speed s480 turbo kit, holley dominator and 7in dash pro, rsm cage, fuel cell and front end
Nice video Travis on your Ws6. Nice to see you getting motivated to get back to wrenching on it.. I'm keeping my 4l60e in mine but it's going to be upgraded internally buy a performance shop transmission shop out of Pennsylvania..
Travis good to see some F Body content 😉. I surly understand your plight as you mentioned three years and a perfectly running car. I did the same with my 97 Z28, perfectly running when I tore her apart inside and out starting back in 2012. Father died, mother died, two surgeries on shoulders, working then, retired in 2018, and other life issues. But I don’t have as many irons in the fire as you do my friend! But I hope to have my Z off of jack stands by the end of the month or mid March, and hopefully running shortly thereafter. It’s definitely a labor of love! Keep up the good work buddy.
Hey man, i own a 2002 ws6 Transam. Bone stock. Just a SLP LID. Just ordered some longtube headers for it. Not looking to make a drag car, just little upgrades like the headers. My question is while im installing those what else could i upgrade non major in order to get more HP? What would you recommend? Thanks.
The cost of a trans am is a bit wild to me right now but to me it makes since it is "that" car i wanna get a stock one and then maybe do a connect and cruise updated system. In it
Hell yes. The car that brought me to the channel!
More to come
Man oh man, The T/A is back in the picture, Thanks 👍👍👍👍👍
It is indeed
I've skipped the last few truck videos, but I have been waiting to see the TA again! Thanks and keep up the good work.
Thank you. More to come
Holy cow 🐮 A new TA video…. Love it 😂
Lol
@@TWAMotorsports selling my 02 Mustang GT and my TA will be going under the knife soon
Nice
Good to see the T/A
More to come.
@@TWAMotorsports Promise?
Guaranteed!
Did you use the same shifter cable
I did
I used to own a gta 1987…hate I had to sell it back in the day…love the trans am content. Cheers bud.
Thank you. Those gta are cool cars.
I bought your old K-member and had the same issues with motivation. This is really exciting me to get back to it! Thanks for the awesome channel
It wears on you after a while
Good to see you working on the Trans Am. Looking forward to the engine build for it! ✌🏻
It is nice to be back messing with it.

Thank you. Yeah sometimes they keep hanging on
What dip stick did you use to fit there
Madman dipstick
What torque arm are you using. That seems to be my hold up. I’m trying to put a 6.0 with a 4l80 in a 2001 Camaro.
Non trans mounted. Haven't decided yet.

@charger7022 yes that is an option. The factory torque arm is so flimsy though
@@TWAMotorsports good point. Thanks
I was wondering if you still had the ole ta. I recently bought mine about a year ago from clear water. Putting lower springs on this weekend
Oh yeah. Its here still
Oh yeah!
👍

@@TWAMotorsports yep.. you and I both with our TA 's ..
Exciting stuff happening! Man I bet it was hard to cut on those beautiful clean floors! Yikes!😳
It would be nice to not do that.
sweet. Try getting those mockup engines/transmissions if you can, they help a lot in projects like these.
That would be nice

Ported throttle body and find a good tuner.
get some used stock arms and clean them up and replace the bushings. should be inexpensive to do.
Probably should
@@TWAMotorsports i've done it twice now, works out well, not too hard and you have more tools than me. I'm sure it will turn out nice.
I may end up doing that
