  • I needed a sturdy work bench for some upcoming projects. I decided to try my hand at the 2X4 benchtop style. I decided to make the horizontal rather than vertical in order to keep the project under $100.00. In the end it's more than sturdy for it's intended use. That will be revealed in some later videos.

You are a brave man using that little jointer on full length 2x4's. I had the exact same one. Save your pennies and when you can get a quality long bed jointer. I run a Jet 708457DXK and love it. Your clamp ups will be Godly.

You gotta use what you got. I'v been looking at some of the Grizzly models. I will probably have one before too long.
