Isn't claiming you're a federal agent to law enforcement considered impersonating a federal agent. I've seen videos of people getting arrested for doing just that.
He probably wasn't lying, though, given the current state of affairs and who's running things.

No. And I would refrain from saying that. If you get someone in court that knows what they're doing, they're going to tear into you about improper charging. Federal agents do not have to carry badges, nor do they even have to tell you they are an agent. This puts the burden of proof upon *you* to prove that they *aren't.* There are also laws that prevent *anyone,* even the field office, from revealing the identity of an agent. You going after an impersonation charge is essentially putting a sting on yourself about how you identified the person.
There's a difference between impersonation, and simply saying you're an agent. We can all tell you're fishing for charges... Just stop.
@@royalcat10 You seem very dedicated on that. Claiming you're a police officer would get you in trouble. Claiming you're a federal agent when you're not can also get you in trouble. That doesn't necessarily mean they will charge him with it, but they can if they want to push the issue.
Unironically, if a man in a red dress told me he was FBI, I would have no reason to doubt him.
We've had FBI trained cops arrested for purchasing hookers. FBI agents dancing and dropping their guns. He very well could be. The competency bar is extremely low now a days.

I think it's more about protecting him over all. If you saw someone who could potentially hurt himself wouldn't you want to do something about it.

Drunk in public is a crime. However I’m of the opinion that if someone gets so drunk that they walk in front of a bus so be it. He should have been more responsible or had friends.

It's called a "Red Dress Run". It's a charity event performed all over the world, where everyone, men and women, wear red dresses. Each city chooses their own date. I think that New Orleans has the biggest one of about 2000 people.
I've seen cops, lawyers, doctors, teachers, and probably every profession participate.
Not everyone gets drunk, but it's not unusual.
