I'm a 22 year old guy who just moved out a few months ago. The only cooking experience I have is mac and cheese and spaghetti lol. Thank you for the quick and easy video. I'm trying to eat real food, not just live off frozen stuff.
I'm in the same exact boat with everything you said 😂😂Tonight, this is the first actual meal I've ever cooked
@@pete0 buy an instant pot. It was my introduction to cooking. There’s a huge community on RUclips for it with tons of simple recipes. Also buy a slow cooker/crock pot. It’s very easy
I moved out last year, the month I turned 23 and didn't know how to cook any meat. I know exactly what you mean haha
Also invest in cast iron. They will last forever, are very affordable, and you can do so much with them. Watch plenty of these videos.
Keep it up and don’t ever be discouraged if something doesn’t turn out the way you expected. We’ve ALL been there. Good luck!
The most straight to the point cooking video I’ve ever seen I actually gave it a like bc it was so simple
I liove tacos
Thanks kids loved it
Thank you friend I’m doing this with 5 lbs of beef 👹
Making this tonight but I saw someone add chopped tomatoes from a can, so instead of water I’m gonna add a can of chopped tomatoes 🦶
Instead of 2/3 cup I added 2 cup and 1/3. 😐
😂
Read instructions 😂
This is how videos should be. Quick and to the point. Everything makes sense.
You took the words right out of my mouth. I cannot stand videos where they have to show us how to chop the onions and the bell peppers and garlic. Just get her done and shut up. I'd like to add that I saw a video where after the meat was done he put it in a food processor for just a few short pulses so that it would be as fine as Taco Bell's meat. I tried that and absolutely loved it.
I agree
completely agree
Right 😂😂😂 all that extra stuff not called for lol
Exactly!
This will sound silly but I just wanted to say thanks. Almost 1 year ago I learned how to cook this from your video. I can now make multiple things with this meat just because I know how to brown it. I had A LOT of anxiety with cooking, mostly meat and now it's much less thanks to you.
Thank-you for helping me cook without my mom, thank you for giving me the confidence to cook by myself and thank you for helping those who never had anyone to teach them.
Easily the best tutorial I have ever seen in my life. No bullshit whatsoever, perfect explanations for even the smallest things wasting no time skipping nothing while showing how to properly spread it out. 100/10
So facts
15 year old just tryna make tacos at almost 3 in the morning 😂
I'm sure some will scoff but give ground turkey a try. Been making tacos with ground turkey for years. Way cheaper, way healthier (unless you eat 5 tacos per sitting like me).
5??? I just slammed 12 tacos after watching this vid
@@chandlerday5069dude i used to speed through like 15 tacos as a kid, now i can barely stomach 4😒 disappointed
just moved out on my own, this was really nice. thank you
Did you add oil or water? 😳 I want to try this ㅋㅋㅋ
@@findyourself241 water, it was delicious ㅋㅋ

I’m honored & touched by your comments

Thanks for teaching this 43 year old man how to cook race meat. 😎
What is race meat?

Don't drain your fat. Add your spices before the water, mix well and simmer for 1-2 minutes before adding the water. Spices are fat soluble. They will enhance when cooked in fat. Some spices react the same way with water.
Im going to try it this way tonight. Thanks!
U saying leave the fat and water in there never drain it ?
@@tessabrown6987if you're using a lean beef, no need to drain that little grease, but if you're using a 70/30 or 80/20 PLEASE DRAIN THAT GREASE.
@@blessedmslady7341so do you just dump the mix into the meat with the grease or you need to add water anyway ?
I appreciate how efficient this video is. Time is our most valuable resource.
i’m 19 and this is my first time cooking with beef I have made other meals. But you know this is gonna be my first experience with cooking meat so I was a little bit worried on what to do so I looked up a tutorial. Because I wasn’t really sure on how to do it or how long to wait and stuff. Overall this video really helped me and this video was all i needed thank you! ❤️
ur my twinnnnn not
.
Love this video. This is a great format. So quick and to the point - no fat, extra lean!!!
I had no idea you added water.. well now mine tastes great. Thank you glad I watched!
@miggey 😂
Really??? Didn't u learn how to follow directions in your 12 years of being in school???
DenisZen ASMR I don’t know if you’re aware of this yet, but it literally says “2/3 cup of water” at the 1:16 mark.
@@Drew.Clayton509 😂😂😂😂
@@Drew.Clayton509 it literally says 2/3 cup of water in the directions on the back of the taco seasoning packet. He obviously watched the video and heard it say to add 2/3 cups of water. He thanked him and said "now mine taste great."
Im making this tonight for Friday Night SmackDown and imma add Cholula sauce to it also
F yea
Sounds like a good Fucking night!
Fa sho
It looks great thanks to you! Stay blessed and know YOU helped ME feed THREE ppl. It's lovely how one person's actions (such as creating a simple video) can lead to helping MANY . Thanks a bunch
I used 96/4 and didn’t drain my fat, overall came out good. Added some minced garlic (3-4 cloves of garlic), salt and pepper and about a tablespoon of Taco Bell mild hot sauce, came out pretty good lol.
Imo, i grew up with just “pour and mix and eat” but then once i heard about season up and add in from friends i was like “won’t it make it extra salty?” then noticed it made a difference. Especially once you microwave it. Really comes in handy.
Your an inspiration!!!
thank you sir i will use this for the rest of my life
Thanks man. I rarely use season because I don’t know what’s good, any recommendations?
@@mac6417 honestly try anything, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, etc. it depends on foods you make too
@Ty Wilson True but I prefer to keep my fat lower. I usually do 85/15 if I make for a crowd tbh
*What I do;* I first dice & fry an onion until sweet (aka browned). Then add your meat & cook until browned (think smash burger seared). And add 2 table spoons of tomato paste & mix in & cook until the tomato paste turns a rusty red color. Then add the spice package & two tea spoons (or more) of better than beef bouillon & a 1/4 cup of water or beef broth if you have it already & stir until thoroughly mixed, and cook until meat is a consistency you're happy with. And to save time putting the tacos together I just use a super chunky salsa, sliced lettuce, & cheese... & sour cream if I haven't forgotten it.
im a 13 year old guy home alone for a week and hungry, very helpful!
you should not be home alone for a week as a 13 year old!! this is a concerning comment
@@saigest i had people down the street i knew and it was my idea.
I honestly thought it said 2cups and a half and I ruined it
Lmaooo
Just add more meat lol
😂😂 idk why that was so funny
im a 4 year old kid who lives alone in skibidi sigma town and the only cooking experince i have is mac and cheese and i get zero b3tches this was the first meal ive had in awhile

I'm 87 and I'm still cooking meat wrong, thank you for your wisdom
After these three beers I’m making me some got damn tacos !
that's gonna make like 3 tacos possibly
I poured the salsa in the ground meat
Don’t drain your meat! That’s where the flavor comes from
Bruh no
Is this patched?
nah i js did it it still works
My family used to have Taco nights were we would use the Old El Paso taco kit. It was wonderful. Ever since moving out, I haven't had the chance to do it again. This video reminded me that I should get some friends together and give it another go.
The Old El Paso seasoning is really good. It tastes better than the seasoned beef in a lot of fast food taco joints, more flavorful.
Great video! I was cooking as I watched it.
I feel like Neo when he learned Kung Fu.
Super helpful video! Thanks man! I appreciate you!!
ruclips.net/video/jmi5n7REwFk/видео.html
I feel like such an idiot watching something like this lol just because I don't wanna read the package
Nice and easy to follow
I just made some for my work lunch tomorrow with some bell peppers
Your video was super simple and to the point. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
Girlfriend at work… thank you!!!
Thank you so much! We’re eating good tonight !
I'm such a perfectionist I'm really looking up how to cook ground beef even tho i know i'm doing it right already lol. Thanks for the video anyways, straight to the point.
The second the meat touched the pan it started smoking like crazy, had to run the pan outside so it wouldnt set off the fire alarms. back to research.
a great meal
you totally miss getting the best flavor of the beef by not browning the meat. It should have a dark brown on each little piece before draining fat and adding the mix. also, adding a little finely dice onion and/or pepper will elevate the result enormously.
Taste like nothing but salt. Crap season mix...not your fault...good vid. No flavor just salt🤮
you forgot sliced paprika and onions!
That looks like a half of pound lol
Thank you. Simple, to the point. And it looks delicious!
This might just be the best easiest video for me to do. Thank you
I like to cook this with red peppers sugar snap peas and cashews and serve it with freshly steamed broccoli 🥦
Give it a try and let me know your thoughts, but still do as normal Taco 🌮 recipe too 👍
@Mrs. Riki omg 😭
You inspire me to be a better person!!
@ויהי אור how DARE you judge another person tacos!!!
I cook mine on 5.5 but yours looks better. Im gonna turn the heat up and add water with seasoning like that
what was the feedback couldve did a cc on the screen a score for the taste - why post a video without information waste!
I've been doing this wrong for years! Thank you so much for sharing. 🥰🙏
The amount of times I’ve returned to this video is nuts
Okay 👍 thank you it slipped my mind on how to do that part silly my 😅 tricks are for kids.
I only watched the video because it seemed odd to add water
My late sister loved the El Paso Taco mix it wasn't salty I added some to my lean ground turkey and cut up all the lettuce cheese and tomatoes sour cream toppings She enjoyed those tacos that was the last meal we had together RIP Sylvia ❤❤❤❤❤

I just moved out my parents house an I forgot to get lettuce lol
Making this tonight 👍🏽
good luck
I made this wih chicken and it tastes amazing
Thanks for sharing! You’re the best 🌹
Less water is better thr packaged sucks never read the instructions
I never break up the ground beef anymore, I cook it all together in a big patty then when it’s grilled on both sides nice and brown I bust it apart, the difference in flavour and juiciness is night and day.
Also, 50/50 ground beef/pork gives it a really unique texture, flavour and color.
Also, deep fry or bake the taco shells at 350 for 6 minutes exactly on the middle rack…they’ll be a very light brown and you’ll have a delicate crunch.
Use a good name brand old cheddar and even maybe blend a smoked white cheddar in with it at about 60/40 depending on how sharp the smoked cheddar is.
Nice fresh iceberg lettuce.
It’s not super authentic tacos but it’s what Taco Bell should be.
They’re my favourite food and I’ve been making them ritually for 25 years.
Bodybuilders have entered the chat lmao
I accidentally added way too much water and drowned my ground beef. Help.
Bit late but in the future just let it simmer for a bit and the water should evaporate right out
but the extra seasoning pack next time just incase this happens or if you use more meat
Thanks for this. I needed a reminder. I was like I need to drain the meet then add the seasoning, right? This confirmed my steps were all correct. Usually I just buy pre seasoned asada from the Mexican mart, but I'm on a poor man's budget this month so it's ground beef for the first time in 20 years.
Thumbs up because I could hear the sizzle.
I’m 23 years old and I’m learning to cook 🧑🍳 off the internet thank god for the internet because I want to learn to cook for my future wife whoever that may be
Alex Jones played one of the FNT intros, Jeremy's name was "Not the Quartering" !
Much appreciated! I get so stressed out not knowing what stages are what visually, as text instructions do not spark much imagination. This was the only video I could find that wasn't a bunch of extra stuff / not showing the food. It's awesome to be able to just find basic cooking instructions !
Thanks dude! I made tacos for the first time by myself. Glad to have an easy tutorial.
Do I use non stick spray on the pan before I add the ground beef?
Nah the grease from the meat will do that for you
In these skillets he's showing the flavoring don't taste good get a metal gast iron skillet if you want to taste the taco sauce in your meat you simmer into trust me just found out why my mom always use her cast iron big round pot to make tacos in 😮
Awesome video I'm cooking for a girl next door we been kicking it off lately and I needed this video because she wanted me to cook Tacos for her today lol thanks!
My girl just came over and this is what I’m making I lied my ass off hopefully it’s good
this is a very good guide I got a hired to my new job from my bosses witch are little kids from theses tacos. they are so good.
I followed these exact steps. My 10 year old picky son , said they were bomb. Another easy recipe added for a child that doesn't eat squat.. thanks.
This brand of seasoning used to be the best then they changed their recipe like 10 years ago and it hadn’t been good since. RIP!
I do turkey and the trifecta of cumin, garlic and sweet chili powder…mmmmm
gross
I have trouble cooking ground beef because it never comes out tender, pieces are hard and rubbery. How do I fix that?
