On this day in 1988 {October 8th} Keith Richards performed "Take It So Hard" on the NBC-TV program 'Saturday Night Live'... The song was from his album 'Talk Is Cheap' {the LP was released on October 3rd, 1988}... "Take It So Hard" peaked at #3 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart... On October 8th, 1987 the documentary movie 'Chuck Berry - Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll' was released, he was the film's producer ... Mr. Richards will celebrate his 70th birthday in two months on December 18th...
Yes indeed Keith is a great person! Which is wonderful to know Very intelligent, kind ,witty funny as hell and obviously a major romantic as he shares some of the letters he sent to Patti.👍✌️🎤🎸🎸🎸🥁🎹🎷🎺
This is rock and roll. The Stones are great but this is so original and new compared. And Keith's singing was never as good with the Stones. In his book "Life" he writes about taking things down in key to sing in a lower register. And this band is unreal! Hard to believe this is from the 1990's.
Honestly, Ronny may be a douchbag. He is the best thing that ever happened to the stones.. Same thing with Kenny Jones joining the Who. The Faces were a band just as good if not better than anything that outsold them. I have to say Ron is a guitar God. I can`t get into the fan buzz.
Saw this tour at the Tower Theater in Philly. They opened with this and it ROCKED the House. You just had to be there. An incredible Rock and Fucking Roll Show.
This is from Keith Richards and the X-Pensive Winos Live at the Hollywood Palladium 1988. Have this on VHS no less! The band was running on all cylinders like a freight train. The tempo on the '93 tour was a bit slower and not as energetic.
Love how Keith goes all P-Funk , Uncut-Funk, THE BOMB, on the 2nd track.
What a rock and roller--and a great jazz singer too!
Perfect, perfect... perfection is what I see in this video! Great!

It's been a few years since anybody mentioned how awesome this is. Well, here I am! lol
Keith's great! Mick's great too! You haters should know Mick wrote words and music to Brown Sugar. Together, they're the best! There, enough said.
When this came out.....I had not hipped myself to nawlins yet or been to zjazzfest. Man.....he is better outside of stones shit.

Keef’s snotty guitar style is the most beautiful sound in the universe.
Read his bio. I knew Keef rocked, but it also made me realize he's a good person. He would be a cool person to meet!

Agree about the autobiography...the way he deals with painful/heartbreaking events is exceptional : wise and resilient.
This man is incrediably gifted ! !
The most perfect snare drum ever made!!!! It so makes this song. I'll take the Winos any day, over the Stones.
I love his rough voice ❤
Charley on drums on Take It So Hard is infinite pocket!
Oh, man.....this band absolutely nailed it.
The best band Keith was ever in - right here.
Of course this won't be good as the rolling stones but man what a song, so much good energy.
KEEF !!!
W/O Keef there are no stones !!! He is the fire in the engine !!!
Talk Is Cheap and Main Offender were better than anything the Stones did after 1981. They weren't bad but the Keith albums were fucking great.

I agree ! Keith's music has soul, it comes from the heart and stabbed mine
MOVES LIKE RICHARDS !!!
thumbs up if you hit 'LIKE' at the first snare hit?
Seen the Stones a number of times, sure wish that I had got a chance to the winos. This stuff is great.

لديه عضو واحد على الأقل من "قسم" الموسيقيين الدورة تشكل من '80s، Waddy Wachtel. وقال كيث، "لقد لعبت للنساء طويلة بما فيه الكفاية."

Love this live version of this song.
Thanks keef for big enough such a piece of rock and groove
I saw this show in Boston, nothing cooler!!
Hell Yeah...Loose AND Tight at the same time.
One time he said in rock and roll, you have to leave room for the "beautiful accident".

Mick Taylor
Me and my buddies were rooting for Ronnie to get the gig after Mick left. Musically he seemed perfect. I do believe we nailed it!
