If I can ask about the video. At the end in the rain. I haven't been to Florida in a while, but what I remember is it would downpour for 10-15 minutes and back to sunshine. Was it like that when you were in the rain? Also if can ask about the medical for a pilot license. Can a pilot be blind in one eye and still fly or would it be restricted? I was just wondering/thinking after I had a CRAO (Central retinal artery occlusion) a stroke in the eye. I didn't go blind in the eye, but had vision loss and my vision is slowly improving. I hope the doctors found the culprit that caused it and fixed it so it doesn't happen again, fingers crossed.
This was a band of storms that passed through and it rained for about 2 hours with winds up to 30 knots. Definitely not the typical Florida afternoon rain. As far as the blind in one eye, consult an AME (but do not apply for a medical yet) about what would be required for a Statement of Demonstrated Ability (SODA).
