    It’s beautiful. It’s like Christmas. Magical the way Spiegal gets wrapped up in his own woollen string then opened and exposed to be the arrogant, self-important, gift of a man presented as an “Expert” by a defense that expected a cake-walk of a victory. The whole testimony is one of a few of my favourite things about this whole trial. 😂🎉

      For the first examination by the psycho's lawyer, it seems most of what he's saying is what AH is like. I wonder if he's so confused about talking on how great he is, that he is actually talking about the Witch rather than Johnny. You can't analyze a person by a few cropped clips of someone on a video. You need to analyze in person for a time period.

      This is actually considered good expert witness technique in many courts - either address responses to the jury or judge. They are your audience.
      It also makes it harder for the lawyer to interrupt you as you aren't in eye contact with them until you finish and return your gaze to them.
      The issue here is that Dr Speigel is argumentative in his responses.

      He was scaringly “convincing” in his initial evidence - he appeared absolutely confident in his diagnosis of Johnny Depp…..until…..the cross examination.
      After this court appearance I can’t believe anyone would want him to be their psychiatrist - how many other people has he misdiagnosed????

    • @suescourfield7902
      @suescourfield7902 7 месяцев назад

      Much of his description of the way domestic abuse works was extremely good - his huge mistake had been his fixed, initial assumption that JD was the perpetrator….and he’s made his analysis of JD fit the character of the abuser, based solely on what AH had previously reported.
      Even he admits that the perpetrator can outwardly appear the personable, rational one - and many victims will state that this can be a huge problem with professionals such as police and courts who find the perpetrator calm and reasonable….and believable - and thus they allow the abuse to continue😢
      On cross examination his misguided assumptions became extremely obvious - which, of course is the WHOLE point of the Goldwater ruling - and shows how dangerous it is to make assumptions, judgements and conclusions the way he did.
      Subsequently, over the next days and weeks, the evidence was very clear that AH’s tale was a complete fabrication, culminating in AH’s evidence which was absolutely nothing like a survivor of domestic abuse.

    22:10 "Intimate Partner Violence" and "Trauma" cannot be separated, Dr. Spiegel?! No wonder the attorney is not letting Dr. Spiegel off the hook because such an absurd claim from Dr. Spiegel is quite frankly wrong.

    • @josephautrey954
      @josephautrey954 5 месяцев назад +1

      What he's saying is the IPV is a traumatic experience but a traumatic experience isn't necessarily IPV. For example, a traumatic experience could be from war or watching a parent die. He's not presenting the information for the everyday and in addition the lawyer is not responding correctly. The only reason I know this is because I have a degree in psychology. So in essence, you can't say that IPV isn't trauma but he's trying to back himself out of the interrogation which he did a poor job at.

      He was pretty bad. He was comparing Depps examination performance to movies. He relied on hearsay about Depp being late or forgetting lines. When asked about Goldeater rule he evaded into position that everyone breaks it, which is poor excuse. He also looks and behaves crazily, actually asked with judge if he has to answer questions, his hairstyle and expressions are off.
      Overall his testimony was seen as big loss for Heard.

      The dosage they read was 175 for him. Three 50's and two 25's the 25's are IR. And the 50's are XR. That amount of Seroquel alone should not have anyone knocked out. I'd expect someone who has just started that medication would feel like a zombie on that dose initially, but it's a low dosage really.
      I take 200mg in the morning. 😂 Then I have 250mg at night. And can take up to 200mg during the day (which I don't do often, but it wouldn't knock me out). I'm not knocked out at night time from the Seroquel, I can easily stay awake on that dose.
      The other medications they are talking about for JD I'm also on the same class of drugs. I'm not knocked out, or pinging. I can just concentrate now.
      I'm team Jonny. But if anyone is being knocked out by Seroquel, whatever dose, it's not being prescribed correctly. Even mixing prescription medications, you should absolutely not be knocked out at therapeutic doses. I believe you when you say you were knocked out by it, but I don't believe that your medication was titrated correctly having that happen to you.
