It's been many years since I've been, but Senegal and its people will always remain part of me. Especially the warm humor of the people I met and befriended.

thank you for making such an awesome documentary about my country. Senegalese are very friendly and welcoming people. I miss you so much pays de la Terangua
Check out my vlog to Senegal on my page
waw Senegal is true Teranga. bless your culture
Waaw waaw Pays de Teranga
ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES WAS SENDING TRACTORS BUT FORGOT TO SHOW THEM HOW TO REPAIR OR MAINTAIN THEM SO MANY ARE JUST JUNK NOW...NEEDED LOWER TECHNOLOGY TO HELP THEM...LOVED THE ALFRESCO PICNIC....WHAT A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY AND SIMPLE WAY OF LIFE..NO CLUTTER NO GAUDY HIGH RISE TOWERS...
I would love to live there Here in the USA people choose to live in the Getto And it seems Peaceful unlike our Getto
It is a problem of spare parts not ability to repair or maintain them. Many of the imported tractors were barely useful due to the nature of the soil in much of the country. So people did not bother to do anything once they break down. So it is a matter of bad governmental choices probably with a corruption undertone from well connected people who procure equipments for tgeir own benefitd regardless of the cost to public treasure.
Tractors are not appropriate to the light sandy soil of the Sahel, period. They are a mismatched technology, unless the small ones to dig roads. They are junk because they create aridization of the soil.
The music is Ablaye Cissoko - douna
🇿🇦🇧🇩 A Love 💕 From My Bangladesh Comilla Daudkandi
Love this program. I love Senegalese music and picked up a few words of Wolof. I love languages and Wolof is very special, totally different from European languages. Sounds very lovely, too. I hope African people realize how wonderful their languages and their countries are! Thanks for sharing!

A beautiful trip on the Senegal river, tranquil and full of nostalgia.
Senegal I love u so much ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍 I have Mandika and fula I’m half Jamaican and half African American Africa is my only home I love my people
I'm 100% Jamaican. At time ALL my friends were from Senegal and Gambia (Wolof people) when I first moved to The Netherlands. Good friends yes, but they are not our people.
@@haatpraat2993 the thing is white people see all black people the same, it dont matter to them where they come from. unlike white people you can tell who comes from where, blue eyes and red face etc
@@Gencturk92 I live in the Netherlands. I was born and raised in England. I can tell you without any doubt your statement that white people see all black people the same is simply incorrect and even racist. Further it is a very bold statement to make considering there must be 0.5 billion whites in the world where ALL of them think there is no difference between individual blacks. Statistically that would be impossible.
@@haatpraat2993 well just like all Chinese people look the same so do black people, with asians you cant tell who's from where and you have to look at them carefully. Their not attractive either
@@Gencturk92 Well in my world Chinese people do look different from one another. I can easily tell who are the Chinese people I know from the Chinese people I do not know. Also some Chinese and indeed Asian women are stunningly beautiful.
I am somali I like Senegal and Senegal people
The music is so beautiful like your documentary. I wish I could visit Senegal.

Un quelque chose de la beauté du passé, reste encore imprimé dans cette atmosphère paisible.
Beautiful. Beautiful song as well.
Wonderful job showing an incredible country!
Africans are very innocent people (civil war atrocities shouldn't be confused with their basic good nature)! I have travelled extensively in Africa (North East West South)! I mean what I say!

Senegal peoples are sweet and very nice people 👍🏻
Good documentary. Love from Thailand.
Thanks:) I work in senegal. and this video aid to understanding Senegal.
As a South Sudanese, Senegalese have have the same features as most of our people in this part of our continent.
I think they left us long ago they definitely resemble not only the SS look but culture Nilotic lifestyle even Gambians, Beninese…
Very well documented. Thanks.
Oh my goodness I love those goats and sheep they remind me my livestock in Somalia. It's so beautiful,
It looks beautiful Nadia.
Outstanding documentary and I love the sound track and the historical context of a beautiful part of Africa

Yes Africa a beautiful place I’m glad as a black American I was able to visit .. check out my vlog
The Narrator makes everything look beautiful
I really love the languages, so I'm trying to learn Wolof and Fula from some downloaded resources, as well as Mandinka, Soninke, and Jola.
Hello i can teach Wolof language. Thanks
I commend you. Learning a language you must be able to hear it every day for an hour.
Africa has yet to unify the continent with an INDEGENOUS LANGUAGE. THEY STILL ARE PROUDLY SPEAKING THEIR COLONIAL OPPRESSORS LANGUAGE ENGLISH AND FRENCH.
HOW PROUD THEY ARE TO TELL US THE AFRICAN SLAVE DIASPORA WE SPEAK ENGLISH AND FRENCH.
which resources? on youtube there isn't much....I am learning Wolof at present
The whole universe is well aware that Africa was and still is getting heavy and nasty fightdown from for ien forces .it's past the time they all pack up and leave africa and come back and conduct themselves in the. Truth in the light and in the way before the father revenge his son.
@@jackie9068 Africa has thousands of different languages so that’s impossible

France should be ashamed of themselves taxing these people even until today for “improvements of colonialism”
U R ABSOLUTELY RIGHT
Shame? You are better off getting used to the fact and concluding that France will always remain shameless 😆.
@@tmajec chchchğğ
Islam has no shame in France
So for the commonwealth nations it is dues and contributions to maintain being help out by the British crown but it is a shame for a taxation by France??? But to me it is the same thing but done differently though. And Senegal and the other francophone nations are not complaining, prove that they are in agreement to this. What is good for the goose should be good for the gander.
This is actually just about the Senegal river and her former use for commerce ! Not the whole senegal history, just an atomic piece of it !
Amazing

love this video Senegal has a rich history beautiful river most friendly people
Nerkera Saunders "most friendly people". You mean they love white folks and dont remind you of your brutal past causing white guilt!
African American s should now come back home. West Africa is your ancestral region of Africa!
Our hearts are wide opened to welcoming you.
No
I love my beautiful country
I have been praying to meet a brother or sister from the continent. I just met a Sengalese at work. He makes $80K USD a year, and he visits many European countries that he likes, although he is living in the U.S. He is friendly, but even though I have shared my knowledge of Senegal and Africa in general, including some musical artists from Mali that I love. He won't really open up. We work around whites, but when he looks at me he doesn't really give me the "brother" look. He is dark and I look a little hispanic. Is that the issue or what? Confused.
Maybe it's just my desperation to be friends with someone from the continent. Just really tired of being around white people. Any advice is appreciated. If this sounds soft just know I'm not gay and he's not gay. Lol.
Muy lindo Documental.
I am it’s majestic and beautiful and the people are a compliment.
Beautiful thank you for giving me History lesson of my DNA& Family in Senegal ♡♡@))
