XELOHH with the heat! Thank you brother!
Thanks for watching...😀🙏🏾
Helpful tips indeed. Thanks for the video!
😀🙏🏾
Wow. MK Slicer... I had no idea it was that simple to dissect audio in that way I've been doing it by ear lol WOW total game changer!! About audio to midi I've been using RipX, I've also used Melodyne and Neurotron AudioScore but they all give results like in your 1st example with Keyzone
A really good one I found is nueronote and it's free... Definitely check that one out it does chords and everything... Thanks for the comment... 😀🙏🏾
Thank you for this. I have been searching how to convert audio to midi..I will try this on a string file. Again Thanks
No problem... Thanks for watching...😀🙏🏾
Ayyee u read my mind on this one!! Can't wait to get to work 💪
That's what's up.... It's pretty cool but I just found a vst that does a better job... Testing it out a little more
@@learningreaper Do you mean NeuralNote Xel Ohh? Definitely worth taking a look at👍
@@learningreaper don't forget to share the sauce!
good stuff tnx. I like the mk slicer method and will try that out. I've had mixed success with the first method. In some other tutorial someone put a gate or a filter before the reatuner to parse out noise, weird notes and keep the notes a set length. For drums there is a js script 'audio to midi drum trigger' and that has threshhold controls built in.
Yea .. drums are a lot easier for sure... The MK slicer does a good job with drums as well but I just found a vst that does a great job at converting still trying it out will let you guys know once I get it down and it's free...😀
@@learningreaper Oh that will be nice! I can't wait to hear your results.
Thanx a lot, Reaper is so freeing. You just gotta know what you're doing.
Yea .. that's what I'm trying to get people to understand about this DAW.. it's so good .. 😀🙏🏾
Thank you so much! Noob in producing music, have no knowledge in music theory, this has stopped me in making music. Was thinking about to buy Dubler 2, but now I no longer have to. You just saved my wallet!
Glad you got something out of the video... Thanks for watching 😀🙏🏾
For third party plugins, Neural Note and Dodo Midi 2 are great. They're both free and have pitch bend and velocity recognition. Neural Note is better though because it also has polyphonic recognition for chords. Basic Pitch by Spotify is great and free too, but it's an online process that's not as convenient. Plus, I think they're using everyone's audio uploads as data to train their AI model behind the scenes, so that's a little iffy to me.
That's what's up... the funny thing about this is the day I posted this video I found out about Neural Note it's a great tool... thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾
Great help , thanks.
😀🙏🏾
Thanks so much. This made it simple for simpletons like me.
Thank you for watching... 😀🙏🏾
Awesome! Thank you thank you thank you, v informative. I've had reaper for years but just used it as a host/recording environment for my hardware, Imma have to start learning some of the REAPER plugins now. I have a VSTI called MIDIguitar, it works for more than just guitar, I use it with my trumpet as well. It does a really good job and doesn't make many mistakes at all and it does it in realtime. So there is one non-free solution suitable for a number of treble harmonic instruments, I haven't really tried it with any melodic instruments besides my guitar. They do make a few other versions like MIDIbass, and some others.
That's what's up I might have to look that one up... Thanks for the info...😀🙏🏾
Time to replace Peace with Reapertips Theme😉😂...(Peace is a great theme by the way😊). Verry Helpful video Xelohh👊
Time to replace nothing mans can use whatever theme he likes
Thanks... I am testing that them for him currently... Its very nice... Waiting for the tweaks to see what he does at the end. ... I still like Peace over his currently I've even done some more tweaking of the Peace theme due to his Theme but we shall see going forward... Thanks for watching...😀🙏🏾
😂
@@learningreaper I actually discovered Peace theme through your videos. I am currently also testing Alejandro's theme. Like what he's doing with it so far. Currently mainly switch between Peace, Rlive and Reapertips Theme. Of course, Locutz is absolutely right when he says that everyone uses what they want to use...that's the beauty of Reaper. Have been using Reaper for about a year now and have learned sooo much from Kenny, John, Mike, Alejandro and you, among others. Thank you for your great work and supporting the Reaper community. I will definitely keep following you! grtz from the Netherlands
a powerfull tutorial merci
😀🙏🏾
I've been using 'Neural Note'. It get's the chords too. Sometimes some velocities can be low but you can post process that with native Reaper midi plugins.
Yea neuralnote is pretty dope... If I need the midi for chords this is my go to...😀🙏🏾
Another good thing about converting to midi, is you can transpose, reverse, invert, change the tempo, timing and sound of what you've converted, so it may sound similar to the original, but also completely different.
thank you
😀🙏🏾
Good info man…how did you do that little trick to add legato during the first method demo? Thanks!
If you right click ... go to default menu midi piano roll context and you'll see one that says . .. set note ends to start of next note ( legato ) I have my shortcut set up to L on my keyboard so I can use that to legato notes I hope this helps...😀🙏🏾
I swear reaper is a god of Daws... I used 10 Daws recently shifted from FL to Reaper and I can say I am Learning a lot. What I know in FL I can just see it in another way round. Hope I'll be a reaper user forever😂😂😂😂
That's what's up...😀🙏🏾
It's a shame the devs didn't include the option to add Audio track in the track menu, like found in Ableton and Logic pro etc..this is a standard basic feature in Daw.
It's by far to time consuming and way too much arsing around to simply get a basic audio from outboard hardware into Reaper.
Until they add this basic feature it's a Huge NO from me.
This Daw is by far too reliant on Midi input over audio input, which is not much use if your a guitar player etc or want to record live play audio.
If it had the basic function to just insert Audio track like Ableton then I would consider purchasing.
@@maydaygoingdown5602 are you talking about FL or Reaper? because you can add audio track by double clicking on the empty space.
Is this what i gotta do to make a vocoder work on guitar parts? I have an actual talk box but it cant go in line because of the nature of the tube, and want to find a way to merge vocals with my guitar track
It might work with this... There is a VST called neuralnote it does a good job at converting audio to midi a little better than the ones shown in the video
@LearningReaper What version do you have my Reaper looks nothing like this. Yours looks way more flowy and convenient
6.8 is the version I have... but I am using a different themes it's called Peace... with a little bit of modifications to make it darker than the original.
hmmm i have sort of got it working, im trying to convert an analog piano to midi. have followed your process as well as reapermania and i only get partial notes being converted to midi? it seems to only record the root notes but misses all the trills as if there is some sort of latency or sensitivity issue. any suggestions? thank you kindly
Yea it doesn't catch everything due to how fast it's being played ... You can try neutral note ... It's a free vat that converts audio to midi pretty good it even does chords so it might work better... Hope this helps..😀🙏🏾
oh thx for the heads up - appreciated@@learningreaper
Melodyne via ARA2
Definitely a go to I just hate the price.. ... But one of the best ways for sure... Thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾
Sir can you make a video on " how to add fx list on track control pannel " pls 🙏🏻
Fx list like in pro tools there is a fx list on track control pannel like that
❤
You can try Reapertips he has some ways to set this up ruclips.net/video/xxBVxbtiLoQ/видео.html
@@learningreaper Thank you sir
@@learningreaper Love you from India
thanks. an issue in the first method, you incorrectly quantized the notes, that is why it was off.
Ok... Thanks for the info...😀🙏🏾
not sure if you tried neural note??
It's funny I found that after I made this video .. it's really good ... Thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾
It works with polyphonic audio file too?
Yes and no it doesn't handle it very well... 😞
Unfortunately it cannot detect midi notes from choirs audio sample!
Yea it it is pretty limited at times... You can try Neutral Note I have a video about it on my other channel hope this helps...ruclips.net/video/-TsTd3ONX08/видео.htmlfeature=shared
How can i make the midi sound an octave lower than my main sound?
You can change the octave in the midi editor
@@learningreaper Hey, thanks!
Thx! Name of theme? ))
The theme in this video is called Peace..😀🙏🏾
They definitely didn't make this easy like it is on Ableton 😂
You can only do it in Ableton with the full or standard version tho which kinda sucks ... But I agree it's a lot easier than doing it in Reaper...😀
@@learningreaper I wanna get the standard version but it's a bit much for me
You changed 3/4 rhythm to a 4/4 rhythm cause it looked off. Interesting.
I never looked at it that way 🤔... So it was just me... Lol..😂 thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾
Thanks! And what is the name of the Reaper theme that is on this video?
The theme is called Peace
@@learningreaper Thanks! It is magic!🤓
