I dig the project as a whole. But can I just say what every percussionist is thinking? That snare drum has no character. Not even for orchestral arrangements IMO. A bucket would be more tasteful.

The genre of this song with the orchestra gives way to that deep snare sound. Plus, the snare used in the recording originally isn't far off from the same tone. Maybe a simple interval away? Who knows. As I said, the snare sounds good for this.
