I normally don't like watching movies more than once but this I don't mind. I have watched it probably over 6 times now and its easily one of my all time favorite movies. I guess it reminds me of myself and a guy I know. We have never got together yet, but maybe someday.
I really fell in love with this movie - it was one of my first introductions to transgender topics, and it didn't fetishize or make us out to be freaks. I think it sort of set the stage for me to figure out who I was, too.
Hi Katie. About 2 years ago I tripped across the impassioned story of a young Trans woman and was so taken by her speech that I have become an advocate. No, Trans people are not freaks. They are just as human as everybody else. Please review my past comments. I have a very dear friend who is trans and I love her very much.
oh i remeber this, i saw this movie by chance one day and loved it, i had previously seen a few scenes but finally saw the whole movie about 4 years ago. it was very good.
@kathykisslight Rupert Graves is straight and married with five children (: He's just done a lot of gay and trans roles, which I think is brilliant of him. He's a wonderful versatile actor.
In a video commentary of BBC Sherlock, Benedict Cumberbatch was asked "tell us about Rupert Graves, Benedict.", and he answered "Rupert Graves is good at football and has five children", and that became kinda viral among Sherlock fandom XD In fact, it's what came to my mind first when I read the question about him being gay. XD I agree, having five children doesn't mean his straight, and of course been good at football doesn't mean that either. Hope that clears up things.
I love this movie. I hate the trailer though. It makes it look like a run of the mill comedy. It's so much more than a silly comedy. The trailer also contains a silly spoiler. I'm glad I watched the movie before the trailer. The trailer doesn't make you want to watch it.
@TheRoundCircle What has being 'good at football' to do with being gay or straight? I can understand why you would point to him having children as being proof that he is straight. That makes more sense. But being good at football? Not attacking you I'm just not sure if I understand your reasoning.
He's straight...he once had a relationship with a man, but apparently that only made himself more sure that he's actually straight (awkward for the guy)

I am a sucker for a good romantic and this certainly fits the bill. Well acted and sweet.

After my first time seeing it it's already in my Top 5 fav transgender movies, maybe even my absolute favorite, needs a few more viewings.
@missbilvy Agreed - he's a wonderful and versatile actor.
they portray this as a comedy? It is a drama with a few laughs in. Highly recommend it.
Muy buena esta pelicula :)
LMAO Ian Reed from Luther and Lestrade from Sherlock dated

she's quoting benedict cumberbatch xx
Good movie 4 transgender
I*m sure Mr. Mackintosh is a talented actor, but to me, he doesn't seem convincing here. Sorry.

Thumbs up if you're GAY!!!
This trailer's got a load of spoilers and makes the film look rubbish! It's such a wonderful movie, it's a shame...
i want a story like that
Una de mis películas favoritas. ¡la adoro!

@kathykisslight And what would be the big deal even if he was? XD
