The way Rachel delivers her “So you agree. You think are really pretty” is the exact tone and facial expression for the character to feel threatened but also sound menacing at the same time. She’s amazing

Sure she kind of goes along with the meanness of her friends, expecially Regina, but even if you see her laugh about certain things they do or say, there's a certain "innocence" to her where she seems to have no mean intentions, is just sort of oblivious to a lot of things, but has a kind heart in general.

How Lilo hasn't snagged an Oscar yet is beyond comprehension. Her acting is on point. She always gives a convincing performance. She's one of the greats without even trying. She disappears in her character. FLAWLESS❤

So basically Regina George was a nurturing sister friend. She invited a new girl to her social circle and it backfired. Hindsight
It wasn't that simple. There was a competitive "girl" type battle going on between them.
Saaame, looking back at it with this resurgence cause of the remake Regina seemed to genuinely care for Cady, she was harsh and what she did with Aron was wrong but she really considered her friend in her own twisted way

Regina saw Jason hitting on this new girl in front of Gretchen and she saw a potential rival to her crown as the queen bee of the school. That’s what the, “So you agree? I take it you're either very young and/or not American. They don't have other friends because they are a clique. Cliques are small and if your "leader" is as controlling and narcissistic as Regina, you are not expected to be friends with others. The plastics (Regina especially) see themselves as the best and few people are "worthy" enough to be their friends. Cliques are basically junior cults. She is the "queen bee" because she is able to manipulate and intimidate people to get her way all the time. She has no friends. She has 2 minions/flying monkeys to always do her bidding and she can use other people when it's convenient. This is shown throughout the movie.

It's obvious that Cady Gretchen and Karen were just her best friends. Her other friends are pretty much all the other cool kids as a whole such as the guys that were carrying her in gym class.

I always wondered what the motive was for Regina to invite Cady to sit with them?
A guy hit on Cady right in front of the plastics--a guy who was supposed to be with a member of the plastics. That makes the new girl a threat. It was easier to invite her to join the group due to her naive personality, rather than turn her into an enemy just because she's pretty.
She saw that Cady might be a threat to her popularity. She could see that she was naive and could be controlled, thereby neutralizing the threat.
Iconic movie thats show unique...and now this remake is unique as well..same characters, same story, but theure doing it totally diff which, as far as stupid remakes go, is nice because youre not getting actors/writers trying to just do the same thing but new...i mean look at Sydney Sweenys intro vs Rachel McAdams'....both great, but diff....
