I'm very excited when watching this vlog 😃, as I'm a native cantonese living in Guangzhou when I was born. Cantonese Food is the biggest attraction for the visitors, I'm pround to say Cantonese food is the most delicious food in China 😋. Actually, you guyes were missing the famous local restaurant which offering delicious Dim Sum when you were in Grand View Mall, you guyes passed by it. You also can try the roast groose in this restaurant. 😋 Meanwhile, I'm impressived that you did a lot of research of this city, and gave planty of info interms of the history and charateristics to the audiances. Thank you very much for introducing my hometown to the world. I will love to give you some tour guides from a local people point of view if you're in needed. ☺

Hello ~~~Dear Libby and Taz, I'm really, really glad to see that you registered your account in Bilibili, but it's a pity that you haven't uploaded the video at the same time. Don't worry, Bilibili also has its own subtitles to understand your video. Looking forward to your next program, I thought you might try to come to Shanxi (not Shaanxi, they have the same letters in Chinese pinyin, but they are really two different places), and the specific Chinese character is (Shanxi山西). There are many retro buildings in Tang Dynasty and Liao Dynasty. There is a saying in China that the cultural relics on the ground look at Shanxi, and the cultural relics underground look at Shaanxi. In this province, there are the Hanging Temple in Datong City (a temple suspended on the cliff of a mountain), Mount Hengshan, Yingxian Wooden Pagoda (a wooden pagoda with the same famous as the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Eiffel Tower,All-wood structure, without a nail, was built in 1056. It's almost a thousand years ago.), Wutai Mountain (a Buddhist holy place, but there are many interesting legends and some exquisite and beautiful temples on this mountain to visit as historical sites), Pingyao Ancient City and Jinci Temple, especially the most famous in Datong City --Yungang Grottoes. There are four famous grottoes in China, and Yungang Grottoes is the origin. It has a shocking beauty that words can't describe. You can try a search, and it will definitely make you glad you came.It will definitely make you feel that you didn't come to Shanxi for nothing. It's really beautiful there. The giant statues of stone carvings make you feel the smallness of human beings and the washing of the soul. I'm still unforgettable there. It's perfect for going in mid-September.
By the way, all of the malls in Guangzhou are connected to at least one metro station, so you will never need to get to the ground floor outside to walk to the stations!! It's designed that way because it's so hot, humid and rainy often in Guangzhou, so we would prefer to stay indoors. :)
19:25 Rice Noodle Rolls (Cheung Fun, 腸粉) not doused in just "soy sauce". The sauce is a mixture of at least 9 ingredients: 1 scallion (white part only) 6 slices ginger 2 ½ tablespoons light soy sauce 2 teaspoons dark soy sauce 5 teaspoons sugar 1/3 cup water 1 teaspoon oyster sauce 1 teaspoon oil Salt (to taste)
@@CoolCat-rw6ppThis sauce is not used for dumplings because it would be too delicate, sweet and light for dumplings which need a stronger, more intense flavor: soy sauce, Chinese black vinegar, and scallions are a simple and delicious one for dumplings.
You need to try both roasted goose and roasted pigeon. That roasted pigeon place you saw “JuuBao” used to be a bigger restaurant and used to be THE place to eat roasted pigeons in all of Guangzhou, but they've since lost their original restaurant site and lost their glitter. They should still be decent though, but there are now other places that make good roasted pigeons also. Wait for recommendations from the locals.

I believe that someday in the future, these unmanned bus systems will be truly unmanaged and unmanned operation, the use of computer technology to bring a convenient experience to people's travel.
Hi, glad you guys come to Guangzhou, as a student living in Guangzhou for 4 years and have walk around every streets. I gonna say you are coming to a right place. I recommend morning tea(Diu sum) which called “点都德”. In your video when you walk outside the Beijing rd, there are two famous Canton desserts called “仁信甜品” and “百花甜品”。If you wanner try the authentic Cantonese food, you should go to “炳胜”,but its would be a bit costly 😂. And I gonna say the market you been is not “Tianhui” , is “Zhengjia”. “Tianhui” is just next thmarket which is a totally new market in a really fantastic modern design and you can see the Guangzhou City Axis Landscape start from Tianhui.😂 And welcome to my favorite city in China, Guangzhou.

You're right, the food streets on the side of Beijing Road are most tourist shops, Huahui is not too bad a choice, although it is an ordinary level of changfen chain in the eyes of Guangzhou people. We had Yum Cha (Dum Sum) at Dian Dou De which is absolutely amazing - would definitely recommend it - it's just off Beijing road.
Yes, we have Chow-Mian too. What you had at the rice-roll shop is called Chow-Ho-Fan, probably with beef. Chow-Mian are those thin Fried noodles and Chow-Ho-Fan are those Fried “thick” noodles.
You finally come to my city. I have been to many citys in China, but I immediately decide work and live in Guangzhou the first day here. The main reason is food. Guangzhou is a city both modern and old history. And it is pretty low cost in daily life compare with other big city. A lovely thing is that you can often see old couples spend hours talk, drink tea, eat food in tea restaurant. Because it's so cheap when they come in morning, there is special discount. Maybe the final cost is 2-3$ per person. This is a city really really easy fall in love. I don't know how to describe. Good food, low cost, modern city, not too fast pace of life, never too cold or too hot weather, etc. Enjoy the city! Love u!❤
@55:01 - that's a super capacitor tram ( no charging wires or tracks along the tracks). Note the charging rails above the tram in the station - super fast charging.
20:06 It is called 河粉 [he fen] made with rice flour while chow mein is made with wheat flour. They are different in texture, taste and shape. He fen is usually flat while chow mein is in strings/noodle form. You should have tried it with beef in dry 干炒牛河or sauce 湿炒牛河style. In the UK, go to Chinatown and order it if you miss it. They make it authentic compares to Guangzhou.

The restaurant name is Tao Tao Ju (陶陶居) Restaurant (Tou Tou Koi is the Cantonese pronunciation). ☺
So glad you got to experience Guangzhou! ❤❤ Hope you have a great time
Wow, Guangzhou has changed a lot!
Famous dim sum restaurant Lin Heung Tea House, you passed over.
I love Guangzhou! Sunset Pearl River Cruise is a great way to see the buildings come alive into the evening. Guangzhou Sculpture Park is beautiful. So many wonderful historic areas as well. Enjoy your stay, cheers from Australia.
Near to Guangchao is Foshan, that is where it is famous for legends of martial arts are mainly from, then future up which you can go by train is Guilin, a place you might not want to miss, mountains and hills raising up from the rivers, just like you see in Chinese paintings and lots of fun things to do there. Boat tours, bamboo raft tours and etc...
Known as Canton. A city with over 2000 years of history, the most important trading port for China. It’s beautiful and full of business opportunities. Welcome to Guangzhou❤
Guangzhou also have unmmaned air taxi this year. 2006 unmanned air taxi from Shenzhen to Hong Kong and Zhuhai, cost around HK$300.You can found those news at RUclips. Several city in China have air taxi test flight too. Hope to see you again on the air taxi at your video.
It's perfect for going in mid-September.
welcome to Guangzhou
By the way, all of the malls in Guangzhou are connected to at least one metro station, so you will never need to get to the ground floor outside to walk to the stations!! It's designed that way because it's so hot, humid and rainy often in Guangzhou, so we would prefer to stay indoors. :)
OMG It's Guangzhou!!! My favourite city!!! Hope you two have lots of fun over there!!!😊😊😊
I love China!!!!! ❤❤❤
Guangzhou is a very good city, I like it very much
19:25 Rice Noodle Rolls (Cheung Fun, 腸粉) not doused in just "soy sauce".
The sauce is a mixture of at least 9 ingredients:
1 scallion (white part only)
6 slices ginger
2 ½ tablespoons light soy sauce
2 teaspoons dark soy sauce
5 teaspoons sugar
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon oil
Salt (to taste)
Thanks for the recipe, will try this sauce with my dumplings 😊
@@CoolCat-rw6ppThis sauce is not used for dumplings because it would be too delicate, sweet and light for dumplings which need a stronger, more intense flavor: soy sauce, Chinese black vinegar, and scallions are a simple and delicious one for dumplings.
NO.1
You need to try both roasted goose and roasted pigeon.
Hello Lib !!! Welcome to Guangzhou, my birthplace. Looking at some of the places in this video brings back a lot of fond memories. Enjoy the Cantonese cuisine and don't forget to learn a few phrases in the local dialect. Bon voyage !!! 😊😊❤❤
我会一点粤语"铺盖啦索嗨"🤣
Lee Barrett a British RUclipsr has a video on a very good Guangzhou roast goose. It’s an eatery along the street not in shopping mall. Btw, Cantonese food is my favourite Chinese food. However, I have little or no exposure to food in Sichuan, Chongqing, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Dongbei (North East), Xinjiang and other provinces. As a south east asian, I have very good exposure to Guangdong and Fujian food.
Beautiful China! Thank you for sharing!
You’re welcome 🤩🤩
That place looks incredible did you take any video of night time?
Unmanned buses are being tested in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, at the same time, unmanned cabs are also being tested in Wuhan, the only difference is that the unmanned buses are now equipped with testers to observe the operation of the vehicle because they are still in the testing period, they will not interfere with the vehicle's automatic driving, and the unmanned cabs in Wuhan are not equipped with testers any more, realizing the true unmanned driving and transporting passengers. I believe that someday in the future, these unmanned bus systems will be truly unmanaged and unmanned operation, the use of computer technology to bring a convenient experience to people's travel.
广州还有一种无人驾驶没有安全员没有方向盘的。
There is another bus line in Guangzhou which is truly driverless. watch?v=uyDRQPZKrls
Uncle Qiu(Tea milk brand) on the right of Cow Yogurt( that you bought) is famous for Duck Shit Milk Tea ! Very delicious!! Don't afraid, it is just a kind of tea, not the real poops
Welcome to GZ! As a roast goose fan, I would recommand you a restaurant called King of Roast Goose (烧鹅王 in Chinese). It has only a tiny room, but taste super super good! It's in No. 32, Tiyu Xiheng Street, Tianhe District(广州市天河区体育西横街32号 in Chinese). Please get there before 12am at lunch, and 6pm at dinner, because roast goose will be sold out before that time.
Guangzhou, its amazing at night , especially Flower City square very recommend
Hello, excuse me for a moment, I am a fan from the three provinces of Northeast China, thank you for your fair and objective introduction of China! I hope you can spare some precious time, in December to Heilongjiang Province to play a few days, wish you everything, Pepsi from joy, world peace! (Above from Google Translate)
Guangdong province is famous for it's local cuisine - Guangdong cuisine. Since you are in a big city like provincial capital Guangzhou, try have some more local food with Guangdong local styles.
If you have tge time and are near the Canton Tower, try popping into the Guangzhou Library (it’s near a few metro stations). amazing architecture! When visiting the Canton Tower area at night, try walking along the waterfront to the bridge. View of the lights on the Tower from the bridge are amazing!
The roasted bird, you just saw it is roasted pigeon 🐦
wrong it, they are duck or goose
@@jamesjiang7850 you know nothing about Cantonese cuisine
@@jamesjiang7850: No. @LessIcyColdBrew is correct. They are pigeons. Please don't respond as fact when you don't know the answer to be accurate. Is a matter of fact, that restaurant's name is in bold characters at the top of the building *Jubao Pigeon Emperor* .
Mi Xue: So love doesn't disappear, it just transfers.
A Cow Yogurt: I understand how you feel, Mi Xue.
Next new one: Although we will also become part of the past, we hope to bring joy to Taz and Libby at some moment.
I haven't been to Guangzhou either, but if your next stop is Chaoshan, you must try Chaoshan beef hotpot and Chaoshan marinated raw seafood. Southern hotpot doesn't focus on spiciness, so it might be more to your taste. Have a great trip!
Those birds at 10:00 are pigeons, famous dishes of Guangdong province.
this restaurant sell roast baby pigeon, some sell old pigeon soup.
Thank you for this @alvinsin4963.
You're right, the food streets on the side of Beijing Road are most tourist shops, Huahui is not too bad a choice, although it is an ordinary level of changfen chain in the eyes of Guangzhou people. But the delicious and affordable changfen are in the community, and it may be difficult for you to find. If you want to have morning tea and dimsum, you can go Beiyuan Cuisine 北园酒家 Restaurant or Yindeng Restaurant 银灯食府, and if you want to eat roast goose, a larger Cantonese restaurant may be more suitable for you❤
Welcome to Guangzhou! Don’t forget to try some fantastic food like Cheung fun(肠粉),Roast goose(烧鹅),and Liwan Sampan comgee(荔湾艇仔粥)!Cantonese hotpot is also a good choice as it is vastly different from Chingqing hotpot because the hotpot in Guangzhou is focused on the original taste of the food!
Oh, I missed Chang Fen so much.
Omg welcome!!!!
recently the weather is not pretty good tho, typhoon and rain keep coming...
but still have fun guys!! you'll find quite a lot of tea&drinks brands here cuz you know we're in the south and really hot in summer lol
please do learn some cantonese too!!😆 oh maybe you guys are in time for the Dragon Boat Festival?!?!?
7:15 actually Uncle Q next to Yogurt Cow got pretty good lemon tea😂
19:20 yes "cheung fun" you guys got it pretty accurate haha
20:13 yes quite similar to chow mien but it's rice noodles. and this dish we call it "chow ngau hor" (chow=stir-fry; ngau=beef; hor (hor fun)=rice noodles)
26:39 as a local i have to admit the bike problem is just too horrible... be careful!!
MTR train opens two side doors at large stations in GuangZhou. First open one side to get off, then open the other for getting in.
Thanks for introducing my home town, and beside this you also brought me some ideas of what to drink in September this year when I'm heading back there, thank you❤❤
Stir fried beef rice noodle(hoi fen) is one of the classic and signature dishes in Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
Taz and Libby, I hope you guys never leave China. I'd miss your videos. You guys are the only RUclipsr that hits my sweet spot. 😢
we would love to come back again and again 😍

Guangzhou,my lovely home town! Thanks for sharing your experience in this city.
Welcome to Guangzhou. I live and work right here in Guangzhou. Guangzhou is known for its delicious cuisine and attractions, and it's also a millennium-old trading port. If you're interested in doing business, you can purchase goods in Guangzhou. Many friends from the United States, Europe, and Africa come here for sourcing. If you need assistance, I can help connect you, as I know many suppliers who export globally.😍😃
Guangzhou? It’s the food capital of the south. I can probably write a book on all the different food and cuisine of the different parts of Guangdong. But it will take a few days and probably a food guide to savor it. Glad you visited GZ..
I am a Guangzhou native and glad to see you have a good time in Guangzhou, enjoy!
There are still many cities to explore like Tibet, inner Mongolia ,Sanya,Harbin, Nanning.
The Greater Bay Area cities that are very underrated like Shenzhen, Foshan, Macau Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing ,Zhuhai, Huizhou.
Zhuhai and Huizhou are beautiful costal cities with great beaches that not many foreigners travel to.
Why go there if Macau and Hong Kong are next to Zhuhai. Huizhou is ugly when I was visiting factories years ago.
@@TMN0207 Although Zhuhai, Macau and Hong Kong are close to each other, their city characteristics (城市气质)are completely different. The characteristics of tourism (旅游特色)are also different. For example, Zhuhai's CBD has beaches, and Zhuhai has “cloud paths”(云道)that goes through mountains and forests, where you can walk on the forest while looking at the blue sky and blue sea(碧海青天).
Wow you finally came to my hometown Guangzhou !
There are many delicious food that I miss so much😭😭 And also some historical spot you can visit
Hope you will have a trip there ❤
I am a Guangzhou citizen, I highly recommend you to go to the White Swan Hotel to experience the morning tea culture. Next to the Grandview Shopping Center you visited, there are two more luxurious and high-end shopping centers called Taikoo Hui and Tianhuan Plaza. There is also Guangzhou Book Center nearby, which is worth punching in. I also highly recommend Huacheng Square, which is a green garden under the Guangzhou Tower. You can taste different cuisines in Huacheng Hui in the Square. There is a k11 shopping center in Huacheng Hui, which is also very large. In the evening, I recommend you to take a walk along the Pearl River or join the Pearl River night tour. The night view of Guangzhou is very beautiful.
I'm an Australian born Chinese and I want to take my husband and 5 year old son to Guangzhou. Can you recommend any good and affordable places for us to eat at?
I also want to go to Lotus Mountain (and Lin Heung Tea House) because my family is from Panyu.
Gongyuanqian (People's Park Front) is an interchange station between line 1 and line 2, it is designed to get on at the left side and get off the train at the right side, to prevent from being too messy.
Your videos are getting more and more interesting. Thanks for sharing Guangzhou, a very beautiful city.
Welcome to Guangdong, we have very many tourist mecca in Guangdong, as well as Guangfu cuisine, Hakka cuisine and Chaoshan cuisine! I hope you guys have fun and eat well, haha!
Welcome to GuangZhou~~
I hope you guys can move to China for 2-3 years - you’re getting seriously famous and have many followers in the country. There’re so much to explore, not least the tourists spots and food but also technologies.
the couple has a new favorite, the yogurt cow. However, we will not change our hearts, we only love you two.😂
Love your videos ❤ Thanks so much
Tq for showing us ...we are the third generation born in Malaysia...from Dongguan Guangchow ...see your videos makes me wanted to visit it ....⭐🏞️💚
Mr. and Mrs. Michelle, welcome to Guangzhou. I watched your travel video on China's TikTok. The strategy is very good. I like you very much. Continue to follow❤❤❤
As always, wonderful to watch your videos. I just came back from Guangzhou - I can definitely recommend visiting the temple you walked past on Beijing Rd. I also recommend visiting Shamian Island which is fairly easy to get to via the metro (get off on the Cultural Park) - it's got a wonderful vibe to it with lovely trees and buildings. We had Yum Cha (Dum Sum) at Dian Dou De which is absolutely amazing - would definitely recommend it - it's just off Beijing road.
Lovely! You know what to eat here in Guangzhou. ❤❤❤
Food kingdom❤
Love u!❤
Love your video, you never late and i never miss one.
Wow, guangzhou is the food heaven, so many delicious food😊 baozaifan is always my favorite
